用鹿筋浸泡使其湿润,搓合在一起,粗细如弹丸,用线系住,手持筋的一端吞入喉咙,推至骨鲠处,慢慢牵引,使骨鲠随筋带出。

Discussion: In treating diseases, one should use methods analogous to the pathology. For instance, when treating bone splinters stuck in the throat, why would one use Lu E (Cormorant) to treat bone injuries or Li Hu (Wild Cat/Tiger) to treat fish bones? The following formulas use bamboo strips to treat various foreign bodies stuck in the throat:
Soak Lu Jin (Deer Tendon) until soft, twist it together to the size of a marble, tie it with a thread, hold one end, and swallow it down the throat. Push it to the site of the foreign body and gently pull back to extract it.
Another formula: Scrape a bamboo strip until smooth and clean, wrap it in cotton, insert it into the throat to reach the foreign body. Move it back and forth to extract the object.
Another formula: Use two liang of cotton, heat it with honey, and apply externally to the area where the foreign body is lodged. Heat a gourd and use it to warm the cotton on the skin. If the object is not expelled, boil another piece of cotton and replace it. Additionally, blow a small amount of Zao Jiao Xie (Gleditsia Sinensis Powder) into the nose to induce sneezing, which helps expel the object.
Another formula: Cook Xie Bai (Allium Macrostemon Bulb) until half-cooked, chew slightly. Tie a thread around the center of the Xie Bai, grasp the thread, and swallow the Xie Bai down to the site of the obstruction. Pull the thread to extract the object.
Formula for treating fish bones stuck in the throat:

Heat Tong Nu Ya (Copper Crossbow Trigger) until red hot, immerse in wine, and drink. Recovery is immediate.
Formula for accidentally swallowing nails, needles, or arrowheads:
Eat large amounts of Zhu Zhi Fei Rou (Pork Fat) until full; the object will be naturally wrapped and expelled.
Formula for accidentally swallowing needles:
Take Xuan Zhen Ci Shi Mo (Magnetite Powder), take one fang cun bi with water to expel the needle. (*Gu Jin Lu Yan* states: If the needle is stuck in the throat, taking magnetite powder causes it to enter the stomach. If the magnetite is held in the mouth, it attracts the needle and pulls it out).
