治肾热背急挛痛，耳脓血出，或生肉塞之，不闻人声方。
磁石 白术 牡蛎（各五两） 甘草（一两） 生麦门冬（六两） 生地黄汁（一升） 芍

上九味 咀。以水九升，煮取三升，分三服。
治肾热，面黑目白，肾气内伤，耳鸣吼闹、短气，四肢疼痛，腰背相引，小便黄赤方。
羊肾（一具治如食法） 白术（五两） 生姜（六两） 玄参（四两） 泽泻（二两） 芍
药茯
苓（各三两） 淡竹叶（切二升） 生地黄（切一升）
上九味 咀。以水二斗煮羊肾、竹叶，取一斗，去滓澄之，下药，煮取三升，分三服，
不已，三日更服一剂。
治肾热、耳脓血出溜，日夜不止方。
鲤鱼脑一枚 鲤鱼肠一具（洗细切） 鲤鱼 三斤 乌麻子（熬令香）一升
上四味先捣麻子碎，次下余药捣为一家，纳器中，微火熬暖，布裹敷耳得，两食顷开之
，有白虫出，复更作药。若两耳并脓出，用此为一剂，敷两耳。若只一耳，分药为两剂敷，
不过三敷，耳便瘥。慎风冷。
治肾虚寒，腰脊苦痛，阴阳微弱，耳鸣焦枯方。

上十四味末之，纳盆中，取前三物汁和研，微火上暖盆，取热更研，日曝干，常研，令
离盆，酒服方寸匕，日再。
治耳聋鸣、汁出，皆由肾寒，或一二十年不瘥方。
故铁（二十斤烧赤，水五斗浸三宿，去铁澄清） 柘根（三十斤水一石煮取五斗，去滓
澄
清） 菖蒲（切五斗水一石煮取五斗，去滓澄清）
上三味合一石五斗，用米二石，并曲二斗，酿如常法，酒用一月封头开清，用磁石吸
者三斤，捣为末，纳酒中，浸三宿，饮之，日夜饮，常取小小醉而眠，取闻人语乃止药
。
又方 服天门冬酒百日瘥方（在第十四卷中）。
又方 矾石少许，以生菖蒲根汁和，点入耳中。
治劳聋，气聋，风聋，虚聋，毒聋，久聋耳鸣方。

上二十三味末之，蜜丸如梧子大。食后服十五丸，日三，加至三四十丸止。皆缘肾虚耳
，故作补肾方，又作薄利九窍药即瘥。
治耳聋方。
生地黄（极粗者长一寸半） 巴豆 杏仁（各七枚） 印成盐（两颗） 头发（如鸡子

上五味治下筛，以绵薄裹，纳耳中一日一夜，若小损即去之。直以物塞耳，耳中黄水及
脓出，渐渐有效，不得更着。不着一宿后，更纳一日一夜，还去之，根据前。
又方 蓖麻仁（五合） 杏仁 菖蒲 磁石 桃仁（各三分） 巴豆（一分） 石盐（三
分） 附子（二分） 薰陆香 松脂（各十分） 蜡（八分） 通草（三分）
上十二味先捣草、石令细，别研诸仁如脂，纳松脂、蜡，合捣数千杵，令可丸乃止。以
如枣核大绵裹塞耳，一日四五度，出之转捻，不过三四日，易之。
又方 磁石（四两） 天门冬 地骨皮 生姜（各三两） 山茱萸 茯苓 菖蒲 川芎 枳
实白芷 橘皮 甘草 土瓜根 牡荆子（各二两） 竹沥（二升）
上十五味 咀。以水八升煮减半，纳沥煮取二升五合，分三服，五日一剂，三日乃着
散纳耳中，如后方。

上七味治下筛，绵裹塞耳，日一易之。仍服大三五七散佳（方在第十三卷中）。
又方 薰陆香 蓖麻 松脂 蜡 乱发灰 石盐
上六味等分末之。作丸绵裹塞耳，时易之，瘥止。
治耳聋方。
巴豆（十四枚） 成炼松脂（半两）
上二味合治丸如黍米大，绵裹以簪头着耳中，一日一易。药如硬，微火炙之，以汗出乃
愈，大效。
又方 雄鲤鱼脑（二两） 防风 菖蒲 细辛 附子 川芎（各六铢）
上六味 咀，以鱼脑合煎，三沸，三上三下之，膏香为成，滤去滓，冷，以一枣核灌
耳中，以绵塞之。（《古今录验》用疗风聋年久、耳中鸣者，以当归代防风，以白芷代川芎）
又方 竹筒盛鲤鱼脑，炊饭处蒸之，令烊，注耳中。
又方 菖蒲、附子各等分末之，以麻油和，以绵裹纳耳中。（《广济方》以疗耳猝痛求
死者
又方 矾石 甘草 菖蒲 当归 细辛 防风 川芎 白芷 附子 乌贼骨 皂荚（各
半两） 巴豆（十四枚）
上十二味薄切，三升醋渍一宿，以不中水鸡膏九合煎，三上三下。以巴豆黄，膏成，去
滓，纳雄黄末，搅调，取枣核大沥耳中，绵塞之，日三易。
又方 烧铁令赤，投酒中饮之，仍以磁石塞耳中，日一易。夜去之，旦别着。
又方 蓖麻（一百颗去皮） 大枣（十五枚去皮核）
上二味熟捣丸如杏仁，纳耳中二十日，瘥。
又方 芥子捣碎，以男儿乳和，绵裹纳之。
又方 取柴胡苗汁灌耳中，再度瘥。
又方 作一坑可容二升许，着炭火其中，坑似窖形，以砖覆口上，砖上作一孔子，容小
指，砖孔上着地黄一升，以木盆覆之，以泥泥盆下，勿泄，盆底上钻一小孔，可容箸，其孔
上着三重布，以耳孔当盆上熏，久若闷，去黄水，发裹盐塞之，不过二三度，神效。
又方 捣豉作饼填耳内，以地黄长五六分，削一头令尖，纳耳中，与豉饼底齐，饼上着
楸叶，盖之，剜一孔如箸头，透饼于上，灸三壮。
又方 作泥饼子，浓薄如馄饨皮，覆耳上四边，勿令泄气，当耳孔上以草刺泥饼，穿作
一小孔，于上以艾灸之百壮，候耳中痛不可忍即止。侧耳泻却黄水出尽，即瘥。当灸时，若
泥干，数易之。
又方 酒三升，碎牡荆子二升，浸七日，去滓，任性服尽，虽三十年久聋亦瘥。
又方 截箭竿二寸纳耳中，以面拥四畔，勿令泄气，灸筒上七壮。
又方 硫黄、雄黄各等分为末，绵裹纳耳中，数日闻人语声。
又方 桂心（十八铢） 野葛（六铢） 成煎鸡肪（五两
上三味 咀，于铜器中微火煎三沸，去滓，密贮勿泄，以苇筒盛如枣核大，火炙令少热，
欹卧倾耳灌之，如此十日耵聍自出，大如指，长一寸，久聋不过三十日，以发裹膏深塞。莫
使泄气，五日乃出之。（《千金翼》云治二十年耳聋）
治耳聋齿痛赤膏方。
桂心 大黄 白术 细辛 川芎（各一两） 干姜（二两） 丹参（五两） 蜀椒（一
升） 巴
豆（十枚） 大附子（二枚）
上十味 咀，以苦酒二升浸一宿，纳成煎猪肪三斤，火上煎，三上三下，药成，去滓
，可服可摩。耳聋者绵裹纳耳中，齿冷痛，则着齿间，诸痛皆摩。若腹中有病，以酒和服如
枣许大。咽喉痛，取枣核大吞之。
又方 以绵裹蛇膏塞耳，神良。
又方 淳酢微火煎附子一宿，削令可入耳，以绵裹塞之。
治猝耳聋方。
细辛 菖蒲（各六铢） 杏仁 曲末（各十铢）
上四味和捣为丸，干即着少猪脂，如枣核大，绵裹纳耳中，日一易，小瘥，二日一易，
夜去，旦塞之。
治三十年耳聋方。
故铁三十斤，以水七斗，浸三宿，取汁，入曲酿米七斗，如常造酒法，候熟，取磁石一
斤，研末，浸酒中，三日乃可饮，取醉；以绵裹磁石纳耳中，好覆头卧，酒醒去磁石，即瘥
治耳鸣聋方。
当归 细辛 川芎 防风 附子 白芷（各六铢）
上六味末之，以鲤鱼脑八两合煎，三上三下，膏成，去滓，以枣核大灌耳中，旦以绵塞
耳孔。
治耳鸣如流水声，不治久成聋方。
生乌头掘得，乘湿削如枣核大，纳耳中，日一易之，不过三日，愈。亦疗痒及猝风聋。
治耳鸣水入方。
通草 细辛 桂心（各十八铢） 菖蒲（一两） 附子（六铢） 矾石（六铢） 当归 甘

上九味末之，以白鹅脂半合，稍稍和如枣核，绵裹纳耳中，日三，旋旋和用（一本用葱
涕半合）。
治耳聋有脓散方。
乌贼骨 釜底墨 龙骨 伏龙肝（各半两） 附子（一两） 禹余粮（六铢）
上六味末之，取皂荚子大，绵裹纳耳中，日一易，取瘥。不瘥者有虫，加麝香一豆大。
治耳聋有脓，不瘥有虫方。
鲤鱼肠（一具切） 醋（三合）
上二味和捣，帛裹纳耳中，两食顷，当闷痛，有白虫着药，去之，更入新者，虫尽乃止
，药择去虫，还可用。
又方 先以纸缠去耳中汁，以矾石末粉耳中。次石盐末粉其上，食久乃起，不过再度，
永瘥。
又方 捣桂和鲤鱼脑纳耳中，不过三四度。
治 耳出脓汁方。
矾石 乌贼骨 黄连 赤石脂
上四味等分末之，以绵裹如枣核。纳耳中，日三。（《短剧》不用赤石脂，姚氏加龙骨
一两，《千金翼》同姚氏）
治 耳，耳中痛，脓血出方。
取釜月下灰，敷耳中，日三易之，每换，以篦子去之，再着，取瘥止。
治 耳方。
桃仁熟捣，以故绯绢裹，纳耳中，日三易，以瘥为度。
治底耳方。
黄矾烧，绵裹纳耳中，不过二三日愈。或以苇管吹耳中。（《肘后》以疗耳卒肿出脓）
治耳聋，干耵聍不可出方。
捣自死白项蚯蚓，安葱叶中，面封头，蒸之令熟，并化为水，以汁滴入耳中，满即止，
不过数度，即挑易出，瘥后，发裹盐塞之。（《肘后》以疗蚰蜒入耳效）
又方 灌酢三年者最良，绵塞之，半日许，必有物出。
治百虫入耳方 末蜀椒一撮，以半升醋调灌耳中，行二十步即出。
又方 取桃叶火熨，卷之以塞耳，立出。
又方 车肛脂敷耳孔，虫自出。（《肘后》以疗 耳脓血）
又方 以葱涕灌耳中，虫即出，亦治耳聋。
治蜈蚣入耳方。
炙猪肉令香，掩耳即出。
治蚰蜒入耳方。
炒胡麻捣之，以葛袋盛，倾耳枕之，即出。
又方 以牛酪灌之，满耳即出，出当半消。若入腹中，空腹食好酪一二升，即化为黄水
而出，不尽更服手用，神效。（《千金翼》作牛乳）
治耳中有物不可出方。
以弓弦从一头令散，敷好胶柱，着耳中物上停之，令相着，徐徐引出。
【方剂五十五首】
治疗肾热引起的背部拘急挛缩疼痛，耳中流出脓血，或者长出肉赘堵塞耳道，导致听不见人声的方子。
磁石、白术、牡蛎（各五两）、甘草（一两）、生麦门冬（六两）、生地黄汁（一升）、芍药（四两）、葱白（一升）、大枣（十五枚）。
以上九味药，切碎。用水九升，煮取三升药液，分三次服用。
治疗肾热，面色发黑而眼白发黄，肾气内伤，耳鸣如雷轰鸣、呼吸短促，四肢疼痛，腰背相互牵引作痛，小便黄赤的方子。
羊肾（一只，按食用方法处理）、白术（五两）、生姜（六两）、玄参（四两）、泽泻（二两）、芍药、茯苓（各三两）、淡竹叶（切，二升）、生地黄（切，一升）。
以上九味药，切碎。用水二斗煮羊肾和竹叶，取一斗药液，滤去渣滓并澄清，加入其余药物，煮取三升药液，分三次服用。若病未愈，三天后再服一剂。
治疗肾热，耳中流出脓血，日夜不止的方子。
鲤鱼脑一枚、鲤鱼肠一具（洗净细切）、鲤鱼三斤、乌麻子（炒至香）一升。
以上四味药，先捣碎麻子，再加入其他药物捣匀混合，放入容器中，用微火加热至温暖，用布包裹敷在患耳上，约吃一顿饭的时间后打开，会有白色虫子出来，再重新制作药物。如果双耳都流脓，将此作为一剂，同时敷双耳。如果只有一只耳朵患病，将药物分成两份敷治，不超过三次敷治，耳朵即可痊愈。注意防风寒。
治疗肾虚寒，腰脊剧烈疼痛，阴阳气血微弱，耳鸣干枯失聪的方子。
生地黄汁（二升）、生天门冬汁、白蜜（各三升）、羊肾（一只，烤炙）、白术、麦曲（各一斤）、甘草、干姜、地骨皮（各八两）、桂心、杜仲、黄芪（各四两）、当归、五味子（各三两）。
以上十四味药研成粉末，放入盆中，取前三味药的汁液调和研磨，在微火上温热盆底，趁热继续研磨，日晒干燥，经常研磨使其脱离盆壁，用酒送服一方寸匕的药量，每日两次。
治疗耳聋鸣响、耳中流汁，皆因肾寒所致，或病程长达一二十年不愈的方子。
旧铁（二十斤烧红，用五斗水浸泡三个晚上，去除铁锈，澄清液体）、柘根（三十斤用水一石煮取五斗，滤去渣滓澄清）、菖蒲（切，五斗用水一石煮取五斗，滤去渣滓澄清）。
以上三味药合并为一石五斗，用米二石，加上曲二斗，按照常规酿酒法酿造，酒酿好后封口一个月，开封取清酒，用能吸附磁石的磁石三斤，研成粉末，放入酒中，浸泡三个晚上饮用，日夜饮用，保持微微醉的状态入睡，直到能听到人说话的声音为止停药。
治疗劳聋、气聋、风聋、虚聋、毒聋、久聋耳鸣的方子。
山茱萸、干姜、巴戟天、芍药、泽泻、桂心、菟丝子、黄芪、干地黄、远志、蛇床子、石斛、当归、细辛、肉苁蓉、牡丹、人参、甘草、附子（各二两）、菖蒲（一两）、羊肾（二枚）。
以上二十三味药研成粉末，用蜂蜜制成梧桐子大小的丸药。饭后服用十五丸，每日三次，逐渐增加至三四十丸停止。这都是因为肾虚引起的，所以制作补肾方，另外服用通利九窍的药物也能痊愈。
治疗耳聋的方子。
生地黄（极粗者，长一寸半）、巴豆、杏仁（各七枚）、印成盐（两颗）、头发（如鸡蛋大，烧成灰）。
以上五味药处理后过筛，用薄绵包裹，塞入耳中一天一夜，若有轻微不适即取出。直接用物品堵塞耳朵，耳中的黄水和脓液流出，渐渐见效，不可再次塞入。如果不塞药过夜后，再塞入一天一夜，然后取出，依照前面的方法。
又一方：蓖麻仁（五合）、杏仁、菖蒲、磁石、桃仁（各三分）、巴豆（一分）、石盐（三分）、附子（二分）、薰陆香、松脂（各十分）、蜡（八分）、通草（三分）。
以上十二味药，先将草药和石头类药物捣细，另外将各种仁类研磨如脂状，加入松脂和蜡，一起捣数千杵，直到可以做成丸药为止。取如枣核大小的药团，用绵包裹塞入耳中，每天四五次，取出转动一下，不超过三四天，更换新药。
又一方：磁石（四两）、天门冬、地骨皮、生姜（各三两）、山茱萸、茯苓、菖蒲、川芎、枳实、白芷、橘皮、甘草、土瓜根、牡荆子（各二两）、竹沥（二升）。
以上十五味药，切碎。用水八升煮至减半，加入竹沥，煮取二升五合，分三次服用，五日服一剂。三天后，将散剂纳入耳中，如后方所述。
石菖蒲、白蔹、牡丹、山茱萸、牛膝、土瓜根（各二两）、磁石（四两）。
以上七味药处理后过筛，用绵包裹塞入耳中，每日一换。最好同时服用大三五七散（方子在第十三卷中）。
又一方：薰陆香、蓖麻、松脂、蜡、乱发灰、石盐。
以上六味药等分研末。做成丸药用绵包裹塞入耳中，时常更换，痊愈为止。
治疗耳聋的方子。
巴豆（十四枚）、成炼松脂（半两）。
以上两味药合在一起制成如黍米大小的丸药，用绵包裹，以簪头送入耳中，每日一换。药变硬时，用微火烘烤，待出汗则痊愈，效果显著。
又一方：雄鲤鱼脑（二两）、防风、菖蒲、细辛、附子、川芎（各六铢）。
以上六味药切碎，与鱼脑一起煎煮，沸腾三次，反复上下搅拌，膏体香浓即为成功，过滤去渣，冷却后，取如枣核大小的药膏灌入耳中，用绵堵塞。（《古今录验》用于治疗多年的风聋、耳中鸣响者，用当归代替防风，用白芷代替川芎）
又一方：菖蒲、附子各等分研末，用麻油调和，用绵包裹纳入耳中。（《广济方》用于治疗突发耳痛欲死者）
又一方：矾石、甘草、菖蒲、当归、细辛、防风、川芎、白芷、附子、乌贼骨、皂荚（各半两）、巴豆（十四枚）。
以上十二味药薄片切，用三升醋浸泡一个晚上，加入无水的鸡膏九合煎煮，反复上下搅拌。待巴豆变黄，膏成，滤去渣滓，加入雄黄粉末，搅拌均匀，取如枣核大小的药膏滴入耳中，用绵堵塞，每日更换三次。
又一方：烧铁至通红，投入酒中饮用，同时用磁石塞住耳中，每日一换。夜间取下，早晨另塞新的。
又一方：蓖麻（一百颗去皮）、大枣（十五枚去皮核）。
以上两味药煮熟捣烂，制成如杏仁大小的丸药，纳入耳中二十天，痊愈。
又一方：取柴胡苗的汁液灌入耳中，两次即可痊愈。
又一方：挖一个可容纳约二升土的坑，在其中放置炭火，坑形似窖，用砖覆盖口部，砖上开一个小孔，容小指粗细，砖孔上放一升生地黄，用木盆覆盖，用泥封住盆底缝隙，防止漏气，盆底钻一个小孔，容筷子粗细，孔上盖三层布，将耳孔对准盆上的孔进行熏蒸，若感到闷热，排出黄水，用头发包裹盐塞住耳孔，不超过两三次，神效。
又一方：捣豆豉做成饼填塞耳内，取生地黄长五六分，削一头使尖，纳入耳中，与豆豉饼底部齐平，饼上放楸叶覆盖，挖一个小孔如筷子头大小，透饼向上，灸三壮。
又一方：制作泥饼，厚薄如馄饨皮，覆盖在耳朵上方四周，不要漏气，在耳孔上方的泥饼上刺穿一个小孔，在上面艾灸一百壮，等到耳中疼痛难忍时停止。侧耳让黄水流尽，即可痊愈。施灸时，若泥干，多次更换。
又一方：酒三升，碎牡荆子二升，浸泡七天，滤去渣滓，随意服尽，即使是三十年久的耳聋也能痊愈。
又一方：截取箭竿二寸长纳入耳中，用面粉封堵四周，不要漏气，在筒上灸七壮。
又一方：硫黄、雄黄各等分研末，用绵包裹纳入耳中，数日后能听到人说话的声音。
又一方：桂心（十八铢）、野葛（六铢）、成煎鸡肪（五两）。
以上三味药切碎，在铜器中用微火煎煮三沸，滤去渣滓，密封保存不漏气，用苇筒盛装如枣核大小，用火烤至微热，侧卧倾斜耳朵灌入，如此十天耵聍自行排出，大如手指，长一寸，久聋不超过三十天，用头发包裹药膏深塞。不要让气体泄漏，五天后再取出。（《千金翼》说治疗二十年耳聋）
治疗耳聋齿痛的赤膏方。
桂心、大黄、白术、细辛、川芎（各一两）、干姜（二两）、丹参（五两）、蜀椒（一升）、巴豆（十枚）、大附子（二枚）。
以上十味药切碎，用苦酒二升浸泡一个晚上，加入成煎猪肪三斤，火上煎煮，反复上下搅拌，药成，滤去渣滓，可服用也可外涂。耳聋者用绵包裹纳入耳中，牙齿冷痛，则置于齿间，所有疼痛皆可涂抹。若腹中有病，用酒调和如枣核大小服用。咽喉痛，取如枣核大小吞下。
又一方：用纯醋微火煎附子一个晚上，削成可放入耳中的形状，用绵包裹塞入。
治疗突发耳聋的方子。
细辛、菖蒲（各六铢）、杏仁、曲末（各十铢）。
以上四味药混合捣成丸药，干了就加少量猪脂，如枣核大小，用绵包裹纳入耳中，每日一换，稍有好转，两日一换，夜间取下，早晨塞入。
治疗三十年耳聋的方子。
旧铁三十斤，用水七斗，浸泡三个晚上，取汁，加入曲和米七斗，按照常规造酒法，待酒熟，取磁石一斤，研末，浸入酒中，三天后可饮用，喝到醉；用绵包裹磁石塞入耳中，好好盖好头躺下，酒醒后去掉磁石，即痊愈。
治疗耳鸣耳聋的方子。
当归、细辛、川芎、防风、附子、白芷（各六铢）。
以上六味药研末，与鲤鱼脑八两一起煎煮，反复上下搅拌，膏成，滤去渣滓，取如枣核大小灌入耳中，早晨用绵塞住耳孔。
治疗耳鸣如流水声，不治久成耳聋的方子。
刚挖掘的生乌头，趁湿削成如枣核大小，纳入耳中，每日一换，不超过三天，痊愈。也治疗瘙痒及突发风聋。
治疗耳鸣进水引发的方子。
通草、细辛、桂心（各十八铢）、菖蒲（一两）、附子（六铢）、矾石（六铢）、当归、甘草（各十二铢）、独活（一两半）。
以上九味药研末，用白鹅脂半合，慢慢调和如枣核大小，用绵包裹纳入耳中，每日三次，随用随调（另一版本用葱涕半合）。
治疗耳聋有脓的散剂方。
乌贼骨、釜底墨、龙骨、伏龙肝（各半两）、附子（一两）、禹余粮（六铢）。
以上六味药研末，取如皂荚子大小，用绵包裹纳入耳中，每日一换，直至痊愈。若不愈，说明有虫，加麝香如大豆大小。
治疗耳聋有脓，不愈且有虫的方子。
鲤鱼肠（一具切）、醋（三合）。
以上两味药混合捣烂，用帛包裹纳入耳中，约吃一顿饭的时间，应当感到闷痛，有白色虫子附着在药上，取出，再放入新的，虫子排尽为止，药除去虫子后还可继续使用。
又一方：先用纸缠绕去除耳中汁液，用矾石粉末扑洒耳中。接着用石盐粉末扑洒其上，停留较长时间后起身，不超过两次，永久痊愈。
治疗耳出脓汁的方子。
矾石、乌贼骨、黄连、赤石脂。
以上四味药等分研末，用绵包裹如枣核大小。纳入耳中，每日三次。（《短剧》不用赤石脂，姚氏加龙骨一两，《千金翼》同姚氏）
治疗耳疮，耳中疼痛，脓血流出的方子。
取锅底灰，敷于耳中，每日三次更换，每次更换时，用篦子清除，再敷，直至痊愈为止。
治疗耳疳的方子。

捣碎自死的白项蚯蚓，放在葱叶中，用面糊封住头部，蒸熟化为水，将汁液滴入耳中，满即止，不超过几次，即可挑出易出，痊愈后，用头发包裹盐塞住耳孔。（《肘后》用于治疗蚰蜒入耳有效）
又一方：灌入陈醋三年者最佳，用绵堵塞，约半天时间，必有异物排出。
治疗百虫入耳的方子：取蜀椒末一撮，用半升醋调匀灌入耳中，行走二十步即出。
又一方：车肛脂（车轴油）敷在耳孔，虫子自己出来。（《肘后》用于治疗耳疮脓血）
治疗蚰蜒入耳的方子。
炒胡麻捣碎，用葛布袋盛装，倾倒在枕头上让患者枕着，蚰蜒即出。
又一方：用牛酪灌入，满耳即出，出来时已半消化。若进入腹中，空腹吃好酪一二升，即化为黄水而出，未尽再服，手用，神效。（《千金翼》作牛乳）

A formula for treating kidney heat causing stiffness and spasmodic pain in the back, purulent bloody discharge from the ears, or the growth of flesh obstructing the ear canal leading to deafness.
Magnetitum (Cishi), Atractylodis Rhizoma (Baizhu), Ostreae Concha (Muli) (each 5 liang), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao) (1 liang), Ophiopogonis Tuber (Maigendong) raw (6 liang), Rehmanniae Radix juice (Shengdihuangzhi) (1 sheng), Paeoniae Radix (Shaoyao) (4 liang), Allii Fistulosi Bulb (Congbai) (1 sheng), Jujubae Fructus (Dazao) (15 pieces).
The above nine ingredients are cut into small pieces. Decoct with 9 sheng of water to obtain 3 sheng of liquid, divided into three doses.
A formula for treating kidney heat manifesting as dark complexion with white sclera, internal injury of Kidney Qi, tinnitus roaring like thunder, shortness of breath, pain in the four limbs, pulling pain connecting the waist and back, and yellow-red urine.
Ovis/Capis Ren (Yangshen) (one piece, prepared as food), Atractylodis Rhizoma (Baizhu) (5 liang), Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Shengjiang) (6 liang), Scrophulariae Radix (Xuanshen) (4 liang), Alismatis Rhizoma (Zexie) (2 liang), Paeoniae Radix (Shaoyao), Poria (Fuling) (each 3 liang), Lophatheri Herba (Danzhuye) (cut, 2 sheng), Rehmanniae Radix (Shengdihuang) (cut, 1 sheng).
The above nine ingredients are cut into small pieces. Decoct the Kidney and Lophatheri Herba with 2 dou of water to obtain 1 dou of liquid. Filter and clarify the residue, then add the remaining herbs. Decoct to obtain 3 sheng of liquid, divided into three doses. If the condition persists, administer another dose after three days.
A formula for treating kidney heat causing continuous purulent bloody discharge from the ears day and night.
Cyprini Carassii Cerebrum (Liyunao) (one piece), Cyprini Carassii Intestinum (Liyuchang) (one piece, washed and finely cut), Cyprinus Carpio (Liyu) (3 jin), Sesami Fructus Niger (Wumazi) (roasted until fragrant, 1 sheng).
The above four ingredients: first crush the Sesami Fructus Niger, then mix with other ingredients by pounding into a uniform paste. Place in a container and warm over low fire. Wrap in cloth and apply to the affected ear. After approximately one meal time, remove; white worms will emerge. Prepare medicine again if necessary. If both ears discharge pus, use this as one dose for both ears. If only one ear is affected, divide the medicine into two doses. No more than three applications are needed for recovery. Avoid wind and cold.
A formula for treating Kidney deficiency-cold causing severe pain in the waist and spine, weak Yin and Yang, dry tinnitus, and hearing loss.
Rehmanniae Radix juice (Shengdihuangzhi) (2 sheng), Asparagi Tuber (Tianmendong) raw juice, Apis Mellifica (BaiMi) (each 3 sheng), Ovis/Capis Ren (Yangshen) (one piece, roasted), Atractylodis Rhizoma (Baizhu), Saccharum Indicum Fermentum (Maiqu) (each 1 jin), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao), Zingiberis Rhizoma (Ganjiang), Lycii Cortex (Digupi) (each 8 liang), Cinnamomi Ramulus (Guixin), Eucommiae Cortex (Duzhong), Astragali Radix (Huangqi) (each 4 liang), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Schisandrae Fructus (Wuweizi) (each 3 liang).
The above fourteen ingredients are powdered. Place in a basin. Add the juices of the first three ingredients and grind. Warm the basin over low fire, continue grinding while hot, sun-dry, and frequently grind until it separates from the basin. Take one cunbi (approx. 5g) with wine, twice daily.
A formula for treating deafness and tinnitus with ear discharge, caused by Kidney cold, persisting for 10-20 years without cure.
Old Iron (Jietie) (20 jin, heated red-hot, soaked in 5 dou of water for three nights, remove rust, clarify liquid), Torreya Seed Root (Zhegen) (30 jin, decocted in 1 shi of water to obtain 5 dou, filter and clarify), Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (Changpu) (cut, 5 dou, decocted in 1 shi of water to obtain 5 dou, filter and clarify).
Combine the above three liquids to total 1 shi 5 dou. Use 2 shi of rice and 2 dou of Qu (ferment). Brew according to standard methods. Seal for one month. Open and take the clear liquor. Add 3 jin of Magnetitum (Cishi) that attracts magnets, powder it, and soak in the wine for three nights. Drink day and night until slightly intoxicated before sleeping. Stop when hearing returns.
Another formula: Administer Asparagi Tuber Wine (Tianmendong Jiu) for 100 days for cure (see Vol 14).
Another formula: Take a small amount of Alum (Fanshi), mix with juice of fresh Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (Changpu), and drip into the ear.
A formula for treating labor-induced deafness, qi-induced deafness, wind-induced deafness, deficiency-induced deafness, toxicity-induced deafness, chronic deafness, and tinnitus.
Corni Fructus (Shanzhuyu), Zingiberis Rhizoma (Ganjiang), Morindae Officinalis Radix (Bajitian), Paeoniae Radix (Shaoyao), Alismatis Rhizoma (Zexie), Cinnamomi Ramulus (Guixin), Cuscutae Semen (Tusizi), Astragali Radix (Huangqi), Rehmanniae Radix Exsiccata (Gan Dihuang), Polygalae Radix (Yuanzhi), Cnidii Fructus (Shechuangzi), Dendrobii Caulis (Shihu), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin), Cynomorii Herba (Rongcong), Moutan Cortex (Mudan), Ginseng Radix (Renshen), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata (Fuzi) (each 2 liang), Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (Changpu) (1 liang), Ovis/Capis Ren (Yangshen) (2 pieces).
The above 23 ingredients are powdered and formed into pills the size of Sophora seeds using honey. Take 15 pills after meals, three times daily, increasing gradually to 30-40 pills. These conditions stem from Kidney deficiency; thus, tonify the Kidney. Also, formulas that benefit the nine orifices can cure it.
A formula for treating deafness.
Rehmanniae Radix (Shengdihuang) (very thick, 1.5 cun long), Crotonis Fructus (Badou), Armeniacae Semen Amarum (Xingren) (each 7 pieces), Salt (Yanchengyan) (2 pieces), Human Hair (Fatou) (size of a chicken egg, burnt to ash).
Process the above five ingredients and sieve. Wrap thinly in cotton, insert into the ear for one day and night. Remove if slight discomfort occurs. Directly blocking the ear allows yellow fluid and pus to drain, showing gradual effect. Do not re-insert immediately. After leaving it out overnight, re-insert for one day and night, then remove. Repeat as before.
Another formula: Cannabis Fructus (Bimaren) (5 he), Armeniacae Semen Amarum (Xingren), Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (Changpu), Magnetitum (Cishi), Persicae Semen (Taoren) (each 3 fen), Crotonis Fructus (Badou) (1 fen), Halitum (Shiyan) (3 fen), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata (Fuzi) (2 fen), Frankincense (Xunluxiang), Pinus Resin (Songzhi) (each 10 fen), Beeswax (La) (8 fen), Tetrapanacis Medulla (Tongcao) (3 fen).
First, finely pound the herbs and minerals separately. Grind the kernels into a paste. Mix with Pinus Resin and Beeswax. Pound thousands of times until pillable. Form into a pill the size of a jujube seed, wrap in cotton, and insert into the ear. Change 4-5 times a day. Replace every 3-4 days.
Another formula: Magnetitum (Cishi) (4 liang), Asparagi Tuber (Tianmendong), Lycii Cortex (Digupi), Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Shengjiang) (each 3 liang), Corni Fructus (Shanzhuyu), Poria (Fuling), Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (Changpu), Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), Aurantii Fructus Immaturus (Zhishi), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Baizhi), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Jupi), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao), Trichosanthis Radix (Tugua Gen), Viticis Fructus (Mujing Zi) (each 2 liang), Bamboo Juice (Zhuli) (2 sheng).
Cut the above 15 ingredients. Decoct with 8 sheng of water until reduced by half. Add Bamboo Juice and decoct to obtain 2 sheng 5 he. Divide into three doses. One dose every five days. After three days, insert powder into the ear as per the following formula.
Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (Shi Changpu), Ampelopsis Radix (Bailian), Moutan Cortex (Mudan), Corni Fructus (Shanzhuyu), Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix (Niuxi), Trichosanthis Radix (Tugua Gen) (each 2 liang), Magnetitum (Cishi) (4 liang).
Powder the above seven ingredients, sieve, wrap in cotton, and insert into the ear. Change once daily. It is better to simultaneously administer Da San Wu Qi San (see Vol 13).
Another formula: Frankincense (Xunluxiang), Cannabis Fructus (Bimaren), Pinus Resin (Songzhi), Beeswax (La), Ash of Disordered Hair (Luann Hui), Halitum (Shiyan).
Equal parts powdered. Form into pills, wrap in cotton, insert into the ear. Change frequently until cured.
A formula for treating deafness.
Crotonis Fructus (Badou) (14 pieces), Prepared Pinus Resin (Cheng Lian Songzhi) (0.5 liang).
Form into pills the size of millet seeds. Wrap in cotton, insert into the ear using an hairpin head. Change daily. If the medicine hardens, warm slightly over low fire. Recovery occurs with sweating. Highly effective.
Another formula: Cyprini Carassii Cerebrum (Xiongy Liyunao) (2 liang), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (Changpu), Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata (Fuzi), Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong) (each 6 zhu).
Cut the above six ingredients. Decoct with fish brain. Boil three times, stirring up and down. When fragrant and pasty, strain. Cool. Instill the size of a jujube seed into the ear, block with cotton. (From *Gujin Luyan*: For chronic wind-deafness/tinnitus, substitute Fangfeng with Danggui and Chuanxiong with Baizhi).
Another formula: Store Cyprini Carassii Cerebrum in a bamboo tube. Steam it while steaming rice until melted. Pour into the ear.
Another formula: Equal parts Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (Changpu) and Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata (Fuzi) powdered. Mix with sesame oil. Wrap in cotton and insert into the ear. (From *Guangji Fang*: For sudden severe ear pain).
Another formula: Alum (Fanshi), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao), Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (Changpu), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Baizhi), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata (Fuzi), Sepiae Endoconcha (Wuzei Gu), Gleditsiae Sinensis Spina (Zaojia) (each 0.5 liang), Crotonis Fructus (Badou) (14 pieces).
Slice thinly. Soak in 3 sheng of vinegar overnight. Decoct with 9 he of chicken fat free from water. Stir up and down. When Badou turns yellow and the ointment is ready, strain. Add realgar powder, mix well. Instill the size of a jujube seed into the ear, block with cotton. Change three times daily.
Another formula: Heat iron until red-hot, drop into wine, and drink. Simultaneously plug the ear with Magnetitum (Cishi). Change once daily. Remove at night, insert new one in the morning.
Another formula: Cannabis Fructus (Bimaren) (100 pieces, peeled), Jujubae Fructus (Dazao) (15 pieces, peeled and pitted).
Cook and pound into pills the size of apricot seeds. Insert into the ear for 20 days for cure.
Another formula: Crush mustard seeds. Mix with male infant's milk. Wrap in cotton and insert.
Another formula: Instill juice of Bupleuri Herba seedlings (Chaihu miao) into the ear. Cure after two applications.
Another formula: Dig a pit holding approx. 2 sheng. Place charcoal fire inside. Shape like a cellar. Cover mouth with bricks. Make a small hole in the brick for a little finger. Place 1 sheng of Rehmanniae Radix (Shengdihuang) on the brick hole. Cover with a wooden basin, seal edges with mud to prevent leakage. Drill a small hole in the basin bottom for a chopstick. Cover with three layers of cloth. Position the ear over the hole to fumigate. If stifled, drain yellow fluid. Plug ear with salt wrapped in hair. Within 2-3 times, miraculous effect.
Another formula: Pound fermented soybeans (Chi) into cakes. Fill ear. Cut Shengdihuang 5-6 fen long, sharpen one end. Insert into ear level with the cake. Place Mulberry leaf (Qiu Ye) on top. Cover. Poke a hole the size of a chopstick tip through the cake. Moxibustion: 3 cones.
Another formula: Make a clay cake, thickness like wonton skin. Cover the ear completely, sealing edges. Pierce a small hole over the ear canal. Moxibustion: 100 cones over the hole. Stop when pain is unbearable. Tilt ear to drain all yellow fluid. Cure. If clay dries during moxa, replace frequently.
Another formula: 3 sheng of wine, 2 sheng of crushed Viticis Fructus (Mujing Zi). Soak for 7 days. Strain. Drink freely. Even 30-year deafness can be cured.
Another formula: Cut arrow shaft 2 cun long. Insert into ear. Seal edges with flour dough to prevent air leakage. Moxibustion: 7 cones on the tube.
Another formula: Equal parts Sulfur (Huang) and Realgar (Xionghuang) powdered. Wrap in cotton and insert into ear. Hearing returns within a few days.
Another formula: Cinnamomi Ramulus (Guixin) (18 zhu), Gnetum (Yege) (6 zhu), Prepared Chicken Fat (Cheng Jian Jifang) (5 liang).
Cut the above three ingredients. Decoct in a copper vessel over low fire for three boils. Strain. Store tightly sealed. Load into a reed tube the size of a jujube seed. Warm slightly over fire. Lie on side, tilt ear, and instill. After 10 days, cerumen will discharge naturally, large as a finger, 1 inch long. Chronic deafness cures within 30 days. Pack deep with hair-wrapped ointment. Keep sealed. Remove after 5 days. (*Qianjin Yi*: Treats 20-year deafness).
Red Ointment Formula for Deafness and Toothache.
Cinnamomi Ramulus (Guixin), Rheismi Radix (Dahuang), Atractylodis Rhizoma (Baizhu), Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin), Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong) (each 1 liang), Zingiberis Rhizoma (Ganjiang) (2 liang), Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix (Danshen) (5 liang), Zanthoxyli Pericarpium (Shujiao) (1 sheng), Crotonis Fructus (Badou) (10 pieces), Large Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata (Da Fuzi) (2 pieces).
Cut the above ten ingredients. Soak in 2 sheng of sour wine (Ku Jiu) overnight. Add 3 jin of prepared pig fat. Decoct over fire, stirring up and down. When ready, strain. Can be taken orally or applied externally. For deafness, wrap in cotton and insert into ear. For cold toothache, place between teeth. For other pains, massage. If abdominal disease exists, take with wine, size of a jujube. For sore throat, swallow size of a jujube seed.
Another formula: Wrap snake fat in cotton and insert into ear. Very effective.
Another formula: Decoct Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata (Fuzi) in pure vinegar over low fire overnight. Shape to fit ear. Wrap in cotton and insert.
Formula for Sudden Deafness.
Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin), Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (Changpu) (each 6 zhu), Armeniacae Semen Amarum (Xingren), Qu Powder (Qu Mo) (each 10 zhu).
Mix and pound into pills. If dry, add small amount of pig fat. Size of jujube seed. Wrap in cotton, insert into ear. Change daily. If improving, change every two days. Remove at night, insert in morning.
Formula for 30-Year Deafness.
Old Iron (30 jin), soaked in 7 dou of water for three nights. Take the liquid. Add Qu and 7 dou of rice. Brew wine normally. When ripe, take 1 jin of Magnetitum (Cishi), powder it, and soak in wine for three days. Drink until drunk. Wrap Magnetitum in cotton and insert into ear. Cover head and lie down. Remove magnetite upon waking. Cure.
Formula for Tinnitus and Deafness.
Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin), Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata (Fuzi), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Baizhi) (each 6 zhu).
Powder the above six ingredients. Decoct with 8 liang of Cyprini Carassii Cerebrum. Stir up and down. Strain when paste forms. Instill size of jujube seed into ear. Block with cotton in morning.
Formula for Tinnitus like flowing water, which becomes deafness if untreated.
Freshly dug Aconitum carmichaelii (Sheng Wutou). While wet, shape to size of jujube seed. Insert into ear. Change daily. Cure within 3 days. Also treats itching and sudden wind-deafness.
Formula for Tinnitus caused by water entering ear.
Tetrapanacis Medulla (Tongcao), Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin), Cinnamomi Ramulus (Guixin) (each 18 zhu), Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma (Changpu) (1 liang), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata (Fuzi) (6 zhu), Alum (Fanshi) (6 zhu), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao) (each 12 zhu), Angelicae Pubescentis Radix (Duohuo) (1.5 liang).
Powder the above nine ingredients. Mix with 0.5 he of White Goose Fat (Bai E Zhi) to form pill size of jujube seed. Wrap in cotton, insert into ear. Three times daily, prepare fresh each time. (Alternative version uses 0.5 he of onion juice).
Powder for Deafness with Pus.
Sepiae Endoconcha (Wuzei Gu), Soot from Pot Bottom (Fudi Mo), Dragon Bone (Longgu), Longtan Earth (Fulonggan) (each 0.5 liang), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata (Fuzi) (1 liang), Yuyi Lithospermum (Yuyuliang) (6 zhu).
Powder the above six ingredients. Form pill size of soap pod. Wrap in cotton, insert into ear. Change daily until cured. If no cure, parasites exist; add Musk (Shexiang) size of a bean.
Formula for Deafness with Pus and Parasites.
Cyprini Carassii Intestinum (Liyuchang) (one piece, cut), Vinegar (Sanhe).
Mix and pound. Wrap in silk, insert into ear. After one meal time, expect stuffiness/pain. White worms attach to medicine. Remove. Insert new medicine. Continue until worms are gone. Medicine can be reused after removing worms.
Another formula: First, use paper wick to absorb ear discharge. Dust ear with Alum powder. Then dust with Halitum powder. Leave for a long time before rising. Two applications ensure permanent cure.
Another formula: Pound Cinnamomi Ramulus (Guixin) and mix with Cyprini Carassii Cerebrum. Insert into ear. 3-4 applications suffice.
Formula for Ear Discharging Pus.
Alum (Fanshi), Sepiae Endoconcha (Wuzei Gu), Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian), Red Kaolin (Chishizhi).
Equal parts powdered. Wrap in cotton size of jujube seed. Insert into ear. Three times daily. (*Duanju* excludes Chishizhi; Yao adds 1 liang Longgu; *Qianjin Yi* follows Yao).
Formula for Ear Ulcer, Pain, and Purulent Bloody Discharge.
Take ash from pot bottom under moonlight. Apply to ear. Change three times daily. Remove old ash with comb before reapplying. Continue until cured.
Formula for Ear Gangrene.
Pound peach kernels cooked. Wrap in old red silk. Insert into ear. Change three times daily. Until cured.
Formula for Di Er (Ear Disease).
Roast Yellow Alum (Huangfan). Wrap in cotton and insert into ear. Cure within 2-3 days. Or blow powder into ear via reed tube. (*Zhouhou*: For sudden ear swelling and pus).
Formula for Dry Cerumen Deafness.
Pound self-dead white-headed earthworms. Place in scallion leaf. Seal head with dough. Steam until liquefied. Drip juice into ear until full. Repeat several times until cerumen loosens and can be picked out. After cure, plug ear with salt wrapped in hair. (*Zhouhou*: Effective for centipede/worm entry).
Another formula: Best is 3-year-old vinegar. Plug with cotton. After half a day, foreign body will exit.
Formula for Hundred Insects Entering Ear.
Powder Zanthoxyli Pericarpium (Shujiao). Mix with 0.5 sheng vinegar. Instill into ear. Walk 20 steps; insect exits.
Another formula: Fire-warm peach leaves. Roll up and plug ear. Insect exits immediately.
Another formula: Apply axle grease (Chegang Zhi) to ear canal. Insect exits. (*Zhouhou*: For ear ulcer pus/blood).
Another formula: Instill onion juice into ear. Insect exits. Also treats deafness.
Formula for Centipede Entering Ear.
Roast pork until fragrant. Cover ear. Centipede exits.
Formula for Garden Centipede (Youyan) Entering Ear.
Roast sesame, pound. Hold in gourd bag. Place pillow under ear. Garden centipede exits.
Another formula: Instill cow butter/milk. Ear fills, insect exits partially digested. If ingested, eat good yogurt/milk on empty stomach (1-2 sheng). Turns to yellow water and exits. Repeat if necessary. Miraculous. (*Qianjin Yi* uses cow milk).
Formula for Foreign Body Stuck in Ear.
Untie bowstring. Apply good glue to column. Place on foreign body in ear. Let adhere. Slowly pull out.
