Cut the above six herbs, decoct with three sheng of water until one sheng remains, strain, add Didi Huang juice, honey, and ginger juice. Simmer over low heat for one or two boils. Take three he per dose, twice during the day and three times at night. The goal is mild laxation of residual accumulation. Food may be taken in between doses before resuming medication.

Another Formula for Treating Postpartum Blood Stasis Not Expelled, Causing Pain and Fainting:
Take lotus leaves, burn them to ash, mix with warm water, and ingest. Boiling the leaves to extract juice is also beneficial.
Another Formula for Retained Lochia, Abdominal Distension, and Pain:
Take tangled hair the size of an egg, wash clean with plant ash lye, burn to ash, and ingest with wine.
Another Formula:
Take one iron steelyard weight weighing one hundred jin, heat it until red-hot, and immerse it in five sheng of wine. Use this "weight-infused wine" to decoct Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) three liang. Obtain two sheng, strain, and divide into two doses. (Same as Qianjin Fang)

If unable to ingest all at once, divide into two doses. Expectation: stool passes first, followed by bean-paste-like fluid or black blood, which indicates efficacy. Discontinue when blood stasis is fully expelled. Do not exceed three doses. Avoid raw/cold foods, tea, and Abelmoschus manihot (Kui Cai).
