千金紫双丸，主小儿身热头痛，食饮不消，腹胀满，或小腹绞痛，大小便不利。或重下

上八味，以汤熟洗巴豆，研，以新布绞去油，别捣甘遂，甘草，牡蛎，麦门冬，
细筛毕，捣巴豆蕤仁令极熟，乃内诸药散，更捣三千杵，如药燥，入少蜜足之。半岁儿可服
如荏子一双，一二岁儿服如半麻子。作一双，三岁儿服如麻子一枚，作一双四岁儿服如麻子
二丸，五六岁儿服如大麻子二丸，七八岁儿服如小豆二丸，九岁十岁儿微大于小豆二丸，常
以鸡鸣时服，
必效疗小儿大便不通方。
灸口两吻各一壮。
又方
猪苓（一两）
上一味，以水少许煮鸡矢白一钱匕，与服立瘥。
又主小儿大小便不通妨闷方。
白蜜（一合）
上一味，煎为丸内下部中，即通，小便不通嚼生葱以绵裹少许内小便道中即通。
《千金方》治疗小儿遗尿的方剂。

用豆酱调和灶膛口的黑灰，取如大豆大小的量，纳入尿道口为佳。
《救急方》治疗小儿排便后出血的方剂。
鳖甲（一枚，炙烤后研成细末，五分）。
以上一味药用水调和，根据患儿大小酌情服用，每日三次，忌口遵循常规方法。（《千金方》记载为鳖头一枚）
又一个方剂：
用车螯一枚，烧至通红，放入水中让患儿服用即可痊愈。（《千金方》记载相同）
又一个方剂：
烧甑带产生的灰烬，涂抹在乳头处让患儿吮饮即可痊愈。（《千金方》记载相同）
《千金方》紫双丸，主治小儿身体发热头痛，饮食不消化，腹部胀满，或下腹绞痛，大小便不通利。或者频繁里急后重起立多次，小儿并无其他疾病，仅仅是饮食过度，不知自我节制，哺乳没有规律，或者惊悸寒热，只有此丸能治疗它，若未痊愈可再次服用。小儿想要排便，是体内积热的征候，哺食减少，气息不畅，夜间啼哭不眠，这是腹部内部不调和，都适宜使用此丸。
巴豆（去除心皮并熬制）、蕤核仁（各十八铢，分别捣碎）、麦门冬（十铢，去除心）、甘草（五铢，炙烤）、甘遂（二铢）。
以上八味药（注：原文此处列举五味，但前文称“上八味”，且后文提到牡蛎，推测原文有脱漏或计数包含未列出的药物，此处依原文翻译），先用热水洗净巴豆，研磨，用新布绞榨去除油脂，另外捣碎甘遂、甘草、牡蛎、麦门冬，细筛完毕后，将巴豆和蕤仁捣至极熟，然后加入上述药散，再捣三千杵，如果药粉太干，加入少许蜂蜜补足。半岁的婴儿可服用如荏子大小的两粒，一至两岁的幼儿服用如半粒芝麻大小。做成两粒，三岁幼儿服用如一粒芝麻大小，做成两粒，四岁幼儿服用如两粒芝麻大小，五至六岁幼儿服用如两粒大麻子大小，七至八岁幼儿服用如两粒小豆大小，九至十岁幼儿服用略大于两粒小豆大小，常在鸡鸣时分服用。
又一个方剂：
猪苓（一两）。
以上一味药，用少量水煎煮鸡矢白一钱匕的量，给患儿服用立即痊愈。
又主治小儿大小便不通导致烦闷的方剂。
白蜜（一合）。
以上一味药，煎炼成丸纳入肛门中，大便即通；小便不通则嚼碎生葱，用棉包裹少许纳入尿道中即通。
The *Qianjin Fang* (Thousand Gold Formulas) treats enuresis in children.
*Epimedii Herba* (Yinyanghuo, 淫羊藿 - Note: Text says Qumai, correcting to *Dianthi Herba* Qumai), *Dianthi Herba* (Qumai, 瞿麦), *Gentianae Radix* (Longdan, 龙胆), *Pyrrosiae Folium* (Shiwei, 石苇, remove hairs), *Cinnamomi Ramulum* (Guixin, 桂心), *Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus* (Zaojia, 皂荚, roasted, remove skin and seeds, each 2 fen), *Polygoni avicularis Herba* (Jichangcao, 鸡肠草, 4 fen), *Plantaginis Semen* (Cheqianzi, 车前子, 5 fen), *Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma* (Renshen, 人参, 2 liang).
Crush and sieve the above eight herbs, mix with honey to make pills the size of small beans. Take five pills per dose, increasing to six or seven pills.
Another formula:
Moxibustion at one and a half cun below the umbilicus, number of moxa cones based on the child's age.

Moxibustion at the Dacun point (LR1, Great Pushing) for three cones.
Another formula:
Juice extracted from *Phaseoli Radiati Vigna* leaves (Xiaodouye, 小豆叶) is best taken orally.
Another formula for incontinence where urine flows out unconsciously:
Mix soot from the kitchen chimney with bean paste, take an amount the size of a large soybean, and insert it into the urethral opening.
The *Jiuji Fang* (Emergency Rescue Formulas) treats hematochezia after defecation in children.
*Tartar Testa* (Biejia, 鳖甲, one piece, roasted and powdered, 5 fen).
Mix this single herb with water, administer according to the child's size and condition, three times daily. Follow usual dietary restrictions. (*Qianjin Fang* records using one turtle head).
Another formula:
Burn one *Corbicula* shell (Che, 车螯) until red hot, immerse in water, and give the water to the child to drink until cured. (*Qianjin Fang* records the same).
Another formula:
Apply ash from the steamer band, let the child suck and drink it until cured. (*Qianjin Fang* records the same).
*Qianjin Fang* Zishuang Wan (Purple Double Pills) mainly treats children with fever, headache, indigestion, abdominal distension, or lower abdominal colic, and difficulty in urination and defecation. Or frequent tenesmus with repeated rising, while the child has no other diseases, merely overeating without self-restraint, irregular breastfeeding, or palpitations with alternating chills and fever. Only this pill can treat these conditions; if not cured, it may be taken again. If a child feels the urge to defecate, it indicates internal heat accumulation; reduced feeding, poor breath, night crying and insomnia indicate internal disharmony of the abdomen. All these cases are suitable for this pill.
*Badi Seed* (Badou, 巴豆, remove heart and skin, roast), *Pruni Persicae Semen* (Ruiren, 蕤核仁, each 18 zhu, crush separately), *Ophiopogonis Tuber* (Mendong, 麦门冬, 10 zhu, remove heart), *Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma* (Gancao, 甘草, 5 zhu, roasted), *Kansui Radix* (Gansui, 甘遂, 2 zhu).
(Note: The text lists five herbs but refers to "above eight", implying missing ingredients like Oyster Shell mentioned later). Wash the *Badi Seed* with hot water, grind it, squeeze out the oil using fresh cloth. Crush *Kansui Radix*, *Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma*, *Concha Ostreae* (Muli, 牡蛎), and *Ophiopogonis Tuber* separately. After fine sieving, crush the *Badi Seed* and *Pruni Persicae Semen* thoroughly. Mix with the powdered herbs and pound for three thousand strokes. If the mixture is too dry, add a little honey. For infants half a year old, administer two pills the size of *Corchorus* seeds. For children aged one to two years, administer half the size of a sesame seed. Make two pills; for three-year-olds, administer one sesame seed-sized pill. Make two pills; for four-year-olds, administer two sesame seed-sized pills. For five to six-year-olds, administer two hemp seed-sized pills. For seven to eight-year-olds, administer two small bean-sized pills. For nine to ten-year-olds, administer slightly larger than two small bean-sized pills. Administer at dawn (cockcrow time).
*Bixiao Fang* (Effective Formulas) treats constipation in children.
Moxibustion at both corners of the mouth, one cone each.
Another formula:
*Polyporus* (Zuling, 猪苓, 1 liang).
Boil one qianbi of *Gallus gallus domesticus* excrement (Jishi Bai, 鸡矢白) in a small amount of water with this single herb. Give to the child to drink for immediate cure.
Another formula treating obstruction of both large and small intestines causing distress:
*Apis Mellifera Wax* (Baimi, 白蜜, 1 he).
Cook this single herb into a pill and insert into the anus for immediate bowel movement. For urinary obstruction, chew raw scallion, wrap a small amount in cotton, and insert into the urethra for immediate relief.
