八角附子（一枚） 大酢（半升）
上二味于铜器中煎两沸，纳好矾石大如 子许一枚，消尽，内香脂三两，和令相得，搅
至凝，内竹筒内，拔白发，以膏涂拔根，即生黑发也。（出第五卷中）
备急拔白毛令黑毛生方。
拔去白毛，以好白蜜敷拔处，即生黑毛，眉中无毛，以铁挑伤，敷蜜，亦生眉毛，比见
诸人以石子研丁香汁拔白毛讫，急手以敷孔中，即生黑毛，此法神验。
延年拔白发良日。

范汪王子乔服菊，增年变白方。
菊以三月上寅日采，名曰五英，六月上寅日采，名曰容成，九月上寅日采，名曰金精，
十二月上寅日采，名曰长生者，根茎也，阴干百日，取等分，以成日合捣千杵，下筛，和以
蜜丸如梧桐子，日三服七丸，百日身体润，一年白发变黑，二年齿落复生，三年八十者变童
儿。
又染发方。
胡粉（一分） 白灰（一分）
上二味，以鸡子白和，先以泔浆洗令净，后涂之，即急以油帛裹之一宿，以澡豆洗却，
黑软不绝甚妙。
必效染白发方。
拣细粒乌豆（四升）
上一味，以醋浆水四斗煮，取四升，去却豆，以好灰汁净洗发，待干，以豆汁热涂之，
以油帛裹之，经宿开之，待干，即以熊脂涂揩，还以油帛裹，即黑如漆，一涂三年不变。妙
验。
又方
捣木槿叶，以热汤和汁洗之，亦佳。
近效换白发及髭方。（严中书处得云验）

尖齐于去皮取汁但以指甲掐之即有汁） 生姜（一两亦铛中熬之） 母丁香（半大两）
上五味，二味捣为末，其脂炼滤之，以药末相和令匀，取一小槐枝，左搅数千遍少倾即
凝，或似膏，即拔白发，以辰日良以槐枝点药，拔一条，即以药令入发眼孔中，以措头熟揩
之，
《千金翼方》中使白发变黑的方子。

以上两味药在铜器中煎煮至沸腾两次，放入如李子大小的一块优质矾石，使其完全溶解，再加入三两香脂，调和均匀，搅拌至凝固状态，装入竹筒内。使用时拔除白发，将药膏涂抹于拔后的毛囊根部，即可长出黑发。（出自第五卷中）
备急拔白毛令黑毛生方。
拔去白毛后，用优质的白蜜敷在拔除处，即可长出黑毛。如果眉毛中长不出毛发，可用铁针挑破皮肤，再敷上蜂蜜，也能长出眉毛。近来见到许多人用石子研磨丁香汁，在拔除白毛后，立即用手蘸取药液敷入毛孔中，就能长出黑毛，此法神奇且灵验。
延年益寿拔白发的吉日。
正月四日，二月八日，三月十二日和二十三日（这两天都可以），四月十六日，五月二十日，六月二十四日，七月二十八日，八月十九日，九月十五日，十月十日，十一月十日，十二月十日。
范汪、王子乔服用菊花增加寿命并使白发变黑的方子。
菊花在三月上旬的寅日采摘，称为“五英”；六月上旬的寅日采摘，称为“容成”；九月上旬的寅日采摘，称为“金精”；十二月上旬的寅日采摘，称为“长生”，这是指菊花的根茎部分。将其阴干一百天，取等分，在成日的日子合在一起捣碎一千杵，过筛，与蜂蜜混合制成梧桐子大小的丸药，每天服用三次，每次七丸。服用一百天后身体滋润，一年后白发变黑，两年后脱落的牙齿重新生长，三年后八十岁的人变得像儿童一样。
又一种染发方。
胡粉（一分） 白灰（一分）
以上两味药，用鸡蛋清调和。先用淘米水洗净头发，然后涂上药，立即用油布包裹一夜，第二天用澡豆洗去，效果黑亮柔顺，非常好。
必效染白发方。
挑选细粒乌豆（四升）
以上一味药，用醋浆水四斗煮，浓缩至四升，去掉豆子，用优质的草木灰水洗净头发，待干后，用热的豆汁涂抹头发，用油布包裹，经过一夜打开，待干后，再用熊脂涂抹擦拭，最后再用油布包裹，头发就会黑如漆，一次涂抹三年不变色。非常灵验。
近效换白发及胡须方。（从严中书处得到，据说灵验）
熊脂（二大两，腊月制作的为佳） 白马脂（一两，切碎熬制后用绵布过滤绞取汁液） 婆罗勒（十颗，形状似尖头，去皮取汁，用指甲掐一下就有汁液流出） 生姜（一两，也在锅中熬制） 母丁香（半大两）
以上五味药，其中两味（熊脂、白马脂）捣成末，其油脂经过炼制过滤，将药末与油脂混合均匀，取一小段槐树枝，向左搅拌数千遍，稍停片刻即凝固，或者呈膏状。使用时拔除白发，选择辰日为吉日，用槐树枝蘸取药点涂，每拔一条发，就将药液导入发孔中，用手指揉搓头部使其熟透吸收。
**Formula from *Qianjin Yifang* to Turn White Hair Black.**
*Bajiao Fuzi* (One piece) *Da Cu* (Half sheng)
Boil the above two ingredients in a copper vessel until they boil twice. Add one piece of high-quality alum stone, approximately the size of a plum seed, and dissolve it completely. Then add three liang of *Xiangzhi* (fragrant fat/balm), mix well, and stir until it coagulates. Place the mixture into a bamboo tube. To use, pluck the white hair, apply the balm to the root of the plucked hair, and black hair will grow back. (From Volume 5)
**Emergency Formula to Pluck White Hairs and Grow Black Hairs.**
After plucking the white hairs, apply good white honey to the plucked area, and black hairs will grow back. If no hair grows on the eyebrows, scratch the skin with an iron needle, apply honey, and eyebrows will also grow. Recently, I have seen many people grind cloves with a stone to extract juice. After plucking white hairs, they immediately apply this juice into the pores by hand, resulting in the growth of black hairs. This method is miraculous and effective.
**Auspicious Days for Plucking White Hair to Extend Longevity.**
4th day of the 1st month; 8th day of the 2nd month; 12th and 23rd days of the 3rd month (either day is acceptable); 16th day of the 4th month; 20th day of the 5th month; 24th day of the 6th month; 28th day of the 7th month; 19th day of the 8th month; 15th day of the 9th month; 10th day of the 10th month; 10th day of the 11th month; 10th day of the 12th month.
**Formula from Fan Wang and Wang Ziqiao for Taking Chrysanthemum to Increase Lifespan and Turn White Hair Black.**
Harvest chrysanthemum flowers on the Yin day of the first lunar month, called "Wuying"; on the Yin day of the sixth lunar month, called "Rongcheng"; on the Yin day of the ninth lunar month, called "Jingjing"; and on the Yin day of the twelfth lunar month, called "Changsheng". These refer to the roots and stems. Dry them in the shade for one hundred days. Take equal parts, pound them together for one thousand strokes on auspicious days ("Cheng" days), sift the powder, and mix with honey to form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take seven pills three times a day. After one hundred days, the body becomes moist; after one year, white hair turns black; after two years, lost teeth regrow; after three years, an eighty-year-old person becomes like a child.
**Another Hair Dye Formula.**
*Hufen* (Lead carbonate/White lead, one part) *Baishui* (White ash/lime, one part)
Mix the above two ingredients with egg white. First, wash the hair thoroughly with rice water. Then apply the mixture, wrap the head tightly with oil cloth overnight, and wash off with soap nuts (*Zao Dou*) the next day. The result is black, soft, and enduring, which is excellent.
**Highly Effective Formula for Dyeing White Hair.**
Select fine-grained black soybeans (Four sheng)
Boil the single ingredient in four dou of sour grain water until reduced to four sheng. Remove the beans. Wash the hair clean with good alkaline ash water. When dry, apply the hot bean juice to the hair, wrap with oil cloth, leave overnight, then unwrap and let dry. Apply bear fat (*Xiong Zhi*) to rub and massage the hair, then wrap again with oil cloth. The hair will become black as lacquer, and one application lasts three years without fading. Highly effective.
**Another Formula**
Crush *Mujin Ye* (Hibiscus mutabilis leaves), mix with hot water to extract the juice, and use it to wash the hair. This is also good.
**Recent Effective Formula for Replacing White Hair and Beard.** (Obtained from Yan Zhongshu, reported as effective)
*Xiong Zhi* (Bear fat, two large liang, preferably made in the 12th lunar month) *Baima Zhi* (White horse fat, one liang, finely cut, boiled, filtered through silk, and squeezed for juice) *Poluole* (Ten pods, shaped like pointed tips, peeled for juice; juice flows out when pinched with fingernails) *Shengjiang* (Fresh ginger, one liang, also boiled in a pot) *Mu Dingxiang* (Mother clove, half a large liang)
Grind two of the ingredients (bear fat and white horse fat) into powder. Refine and filter the fats. Mix the medicinal powder evenly with the fats. Take a small branch of locust tree (*Huai*), stir leftwards for thousands of turns. After a short while, it coagulates or becomes paste-like. To use, pluck the white hair. Choose the Chen day as an auspicious day. Use the locust branch to dip the medicine and apply it. For each plucked hair, insert the medicine into the hair follicle, and rub the head vigorously with fingers to ensure absorption.
