黄连六分 牛膝 甘草(炙各四分) 上三味切。以水四升煮取二升洗之

枯矾(五钱) 熟石膏 轻粉 黄丹(各三钱) 共研末。开水候温洗
破烂有脓水者。葱汤洗净。用海螵蛸(去硬板三钱) 人中白(三钱) 冰
用一钱。搽之效。
切勿断脐。即取小锅烧水。以胎衣放热水中。并以水浇脐带。俟暖气入腹。
啼声发出矣。若先断脐带者不治。
小儿初离母体。口有液毒。形如血块。啼声一出。随即咽下。而毒伏于命
惊热疮疾恶痘等症。须于未啼时。急用丝绵裹指挖去口内浊秽。以清脏腑。
色赤有红筋。乃受胎未足也。用早稻白米研细末。频扑之。皮肤自生。名先天粉
东向陈壁土研细末掺之。亦能生皮。
用浮萍 水苔捣取汁。调朴硝 赭石末敷之。
初生遍身如鱼脬。或如水晶。破则水流不止。 以密陀僧研细末KT 之。
取犬头下毛。以绛囊盛。系儿两手。立效。
黑牵牛子(一钱) 研极细末。水调敷脐上。立止。又五倍子研末。以津唾调作
脐上。用带扎之。效。又朱砂磨新汲水涂心窝及两手足心五处。最验。又用本
瓶内。自不哭。又明镜挂床脚下。自止。
黄连六分，牛膝、甘草（炙）各四分。将这三味药切碎。用四升水煎煮至二升，用药液清洗患处。
生车前草捣烂后敷在患处，效果很好。或者将生葱剖开，取有黏液的一面贴在患处并包扎好，三天即可痊愈。
枯矾（五钱）、熟石膏、轻粉、黄丹（各三钱），共同研成粉末。用温开水清洗溃烂且有脓水的患处；若用葱汤洗净，则使用海螵蛸（去硬壳三钱）、人中白（三钱）、冰片（一钱），共同研磨后涂抹，效果显著。
切勿切断脐带。应立即取一个小锅烧水，将胎衣放入热水中，同时用热水浇淋脐带。等到热气传入腹部，婴儿的啼哭声就会发出。如果先切断脐带，则无法救治。
新生儿刚离开母体时，口中含有液毒，形状像血块。一旦啼哭，随即咽下，毒素便潜伏于命门。此外还有惊风、热病、疮疾、恶痘等症状。必须在婴儿啼哭之前，急忙用丝绵包裹手指挖出口内的浊秽之物，以清理脏腑。
皮肤色赤且带有红筋，说明是胎气未足所致。用早稻白米研成细末，频繁扑洒在身上，皮肤自然生长，这种粉称为“先天粉”。也可以用向东生长的老墙土研成细末撒在患处，也能促进皮肤生长。
新生儿初生时全身像鱼泡一样，或者像水晶一样透明，破裂后水流不止。用密陀僧研成细末掺入患处。
取桑树、槐树、榆树、柳树、桃树的嫩枝各二三十段煎汤，待水温适宜后给婴儿洗澡，可以预防疮疥。
取狗头下的毛，装入红色布袋中，系在婴儿的两只手上，立即见效。
黑牵牛子（一钱）研成极细粉末，用水调匀敷在肚脐上，立即止哭。另外，五倍子研成粉末，用唾液调成糊状敷在肚脐上，用带子扎紧，也有效。还有朱砂磨新汲水涂在心窝及两手心共五处，最为灵验。另外，将本方药物放在瓶内，婴儿自不会哭。或者在床脚下挂一面明镜，哭声也会停止。
Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian) 6 fen, Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix (Niuxi) and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao), roasted, each 4 fen. Cut the three herbs. Decoct in four sheng of water until two sheng remain, and wash the affected area with the liquid.
Pulverize Galla Chinensis (Wubeizi) into an extremely fine powder and apply it to the affected area.
Mash fresh Plantaginis Herba (Cheqiancao) and apply as a poultice; this is very effective. Alternatively, split fresh Allii Cepae Bulbus (Cong), take the side with the mucilage, apply it to the affected area, and wrap it well. It will heal in three days.
Desiccated Alum (Kufan) 5 qian, Gypsum Fibrosum (Shushigao), Calomelas (Qingfen), and Minium (Huandan), each 3 qian. Grind them together into a powder. Wash the ulcerated area with pus using warm boiled water. If washed with scallion soup, then use Sepiae Endoconcha (Haopiaoxiao), dehardened, 3 qian; Nanshi Bai (Renzhongbai), 3 qian; and Borneolum Syntheticum (Bingpian), 1 qian. Grind them together and apply; this is effective.
Do not sever the umbilical cord immediately. Instead, take a small pot, boil water, place the placenta in the hot water, and pour hot water over the umbilical cord. Wait until warmth enters the abdomen, and the crying sound will emerge. If the umbilical cord is severed first, it is incurable.
When a newborn leaves the mother's body, there is fluid toxin in the mouth, resembling a blood clot. Upon the first cry, it is swallowed, and the toxin lies dormant in the Mingmen (Gate of Life). There are also conditions such as convulsions, fever, sores, malaria, and severe smallpox. Before the infant cries, urgently wrap a finger with raw silk to dig out the turbid filth from the mouth to clear the Zang-Fu organs.
At birth, bathe the infant with decoction of Leonuri Fructus (Yimucao) 5 liang to prevent sores and scabies.
The skin is red with red veins, indicating incomplete gestation. Grind early-ripened white rice into a fine powder and frequently dust it on the body; the skin will naturally regenerate. This powder is called "Xiantian Fen" (Primordial Powder). Alternatively, grind soil from an old wall facing east into a fine powder and apply it; it can also promote skin growth.
Mash Spirodela Polyrrhiza (Fuping) and Hydrocharis Dubia (Shuitai) to extract juice, mix with Natrii Sulfas (Puxiao) and Haematitum (Zheshi) powder, and apply as a poultice.
If the newborn's whole body resembles fish bladders or crystal, and breaks with continuous fluid leakage, grind Lithargyrum (Mituo seng) into a fine powder and apply it.
Decoct tender branches of Morus alba (Sang), Sophora japonica (Huai), Ulmus pumila (Yu), Salix matsudana (Liu), and Prunus persica (Tao), each 20-30 segments. Bathe the infant in the warm decoction to avoid sores and scabies.
Take hair from under a dog's head, store it in a crimson bag, and tie it to the infant's two hands; it takes immediate effect.
Black Semen Kochiae (Heiqianniuzi) 1 qian, ground into an extremely fine powder. Mix with water and apply to the navel; crying stops immediately. Also, pulverize Galla Chinensis (Wubeizi), mix with saliva to form a paste, apply to the navel, and tie with a belt; this is effective. Additionally, grind Cinnabar (Zhusha) with fresh drawn water and apply to the heart pit and both palms (five points); this is most reliable. Furthermore, place the herbal mixture in a bottle; the infant will not cry spontaneously. Or hang a bright mirror under the foot of the bed; the crying will stop.
