小儿疖疮愈合后，脱痂不长头发：用饭蝇捣烂后涂抹，头发立即生长。
松香（研为细末，五钱），用猪脂调和搽擦。一日数次，数日即可痊愈。
又方：将腌制的茄子烤焦成灰，用麻油调和后涂抹。

Use Xuncao (i.e., Hui Lan, *Dendrobium nobile* or related orchid species, 1 liang) and Yang Sui (Sheep Marrow, 3 liang). Slowly boil in a diao (a type of ceramic or metal pot) until it forms an ointment. Remove the dregs. Rub onto the back three to four times daily.
For unclosed cranial sutures (Jie Lu / Craniotabes): Take Fang Feng (*Saposhnikoviae Radix*), Bai Ji (*Bletillae Rhizoma*), and Bai Zi Ren (*Biota Seed*) in equal parts. Grind into powder. Mix with milk and apply topically. Change once daily.
Another prescription: Gan Pao (Dry Pao, specific herb name as per text) and He (specific herb name as per text) (each 5 qian). Grind into powder. Mix with black cow's milk and apply to the soles of the feet and the open cranial sutures. Wrap with silk cloth. Change every two days.
For swelling present immediately after birth: Use Huang Bo (*Phellodendri Cortex*) powder mixed with water, applied to the soles of the feet.
This is caused by exposure to cold: Use Ban Xia (*Pinelliae Rhizoma*) powder mixed with water, applied to the soles of the feet.
Chen Xiang Ru (*Elsholtziae Herba*, aged for two years, 2 qian). Add one cup of water, decoct until one-third remains. Add Zhu Zhi (Pig Fat, 5 qian) and mix well. Apply daily.
Another prescription: Take the center part of Qiu Ye (Chinese Fig Leaf, *Ficus tikoua* leaf)...
For Xiao Er Shan Pi (Pediatric Flash Rash, a skin condition): If hair turns yellow and the child is extremely emaciated: Grind Gan Lin Gu Fu (Dried Apple Preserves) into powder. Mix with vinegar and apply as a poultice.
Mix Qing Fen (Calomel, *Mercurous Chloride*) with Tong You (Tung Oil) and apply. Effective even for chronic cases lasting many years.
After pediatric furuncles heal and scabs fall off without hair regrowth: Mash Fan Ying (House Fly larvae/maggots) and apply. Hair will grow immediately.
Song Xiang (Rosin, ground into powder, 5 qian). Mix with Zhu Zhi (Pig Fat) and rub on. Apply several times a day; heals within a few days.
Another prescription: Roast pickled eggplant to ash. Mix with Ma You (Sesame Oil) and apply.
One live Xia Ma (Toad). Peel off the entire skin and apply directly over the sore. Miraculous effect.
Another prescription: Mash large clam meat. Add a small amount of Bing Pian (Borneol) and spread on the affected area.
Song Zhi (Pine Resin, finely ground) and Qing Fen (Calomel, *Mercurous Chloride*) (each 5 qian). Mix evenly. Dilute with oil and apply.
Huang Shui Tou Chuang (Yellow Water Head Sore / Favus): Sun-dry and grind the root of Wu Bai Shu (Chinese Tallow Tree, *Triadica sebifera*) growing by the water into powder (4-5 qian). Mix with Xiong Huang (Realgar, *Arsenicum Disulfide*, 1 qian) using raw oil for topical application.
Another prescription: Take chicken eggs...
Decoct Sang Ye (Mulberry Leaf, *Mori Folium*) and Bai Ju Hua (White Chrysanthemum Flower, *Chrysanthemi Flos*). Wash the area with green silk cloth soaked in the decoction.
Slice Sheng Di Huang (*Rehmanniae Radix*) thinly. Soak in cold water and apply as a compress.
Another prescription: Take Huang Bo (*Phellodendri Cortex*), soak in milk, and dab on the affected area.
Another prescription: Dip Deng Xin Cao (*Junci Medulla*) in Rooster Gallbladder juice and dab on the affected area. Divine efficacy.
Another prescription: Hu Huang Lian (*Coptidis Rhizoma* substitute, *Picrorhizae Rhizoma*, 1 qian). Grind into powder. Mix with human milk and apply to the soles of the feet. (Left foot for males, right foot for females).
Also, mash Earthworm Mud (Qiu Yin Ni) and apply to the fontanelle. Replace when dry. Cured after three applications.
Another prescription: Sheng Nan Xing (*Arisaematis Rhizoma*) and Sheng Da Huang (*Rhei Radix et Rhizoma*) in equal parts. Grind into powder. Mix with vinegar and apply to both soles of the feet.
Another prescription: Mix Hu Huang Lian (*Picrorhizae Rhizoma*) powder with tea and apply to the palms and soles.
