Dengli Fadan (Erysipelas within Pockmarks) arises from extreme heat toxicity; it is appropriate to administer blood-cooling and toxin-dispersing agents. Internal and external applications should be dosed according to their cooling properties, with external use involving bathing in Huaban Decoction.
[Note] This condition results from extreme internal heat toxicity. Internally, one should take Shengdi (Rehmanniae Radix), Niubangzi (Arctii Fructus), Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Mutong (Akebiae Caulis), and Jing Sui (Schizonepetae Spica); the toxicity will naturally dissipate. If accompanied by swelling and pain, add Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix) and Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix); if symptoms are severe on the crown of the head, it indicates toxin accumulation in the Upper Jiao (Upper Burner), and one should use Chao Huanglian (Stir-fried Coptidis Rhizoma), Chaihu, Gancao, Cheqianzi (Plantaginis Semen), and Zhizi (Gardeniae Fructus). Externally, bathe in Huaban Jiedu Decoction, take cooling medicines in moderation, and apply pig bile, Beijing ink, and Bingpian (Borneolum Syntheticum) to the affected area. The appearance and color of this erysipelas can be referred to Chiyou Dandu (Red Roaming Erysipelas).
Huaban Jiedu Tang (See Nei Fa Dandu in Rib Area)
Doulan Jinyin refers to pockmarks that ulcerate and spread, leaving no intact skin on the body, with pus and fluid oozing and sticking to clothes. Treatment involves selecting tea leaves, removing stems, blanching them in boiling water, and immediately removing them; remove stems again, lay them wet on the bed, place a layer of straw paper on top, and let the child lie on it overnight. The pus will dry up, and the ulcers will heal effectively.
[Note] This condition arises from ruptured pockmarks where the body has no intact skin, and pus and fluid ooze and stick to clothes. One should select tea leaves, remove the stems, blanch them in boiling water, and immediately retrieve them; remove stems again, lay them damp on the bed, cover with a sheet of straw paper, and have the child lie on it. After one night, the pus dries, which is very effective.

[Note] This condition is caused by exposure to wind after pockmarks. Initially, small sores appear with itching, which then spread into patches as lipid fluid increases and oozes. Apply Shen Shi Jiu Ku San externally, while avoiding wind and observing dietary restrictions. In severe cases, scratching leads to intense itching, toxic fluid oozing, and no intact skin, resulting in Dou Lai (Pockmark Leprosy).
