黑灵丹 大巴豆（十六两） 蓖麻子（五钱） 俱不可去壳。安石臼内捶匀。候天晴之日。将风炉放露天。上用铁锅以枥炭火。用长柄铲刀炒焦黑。无白油可末为度。研极细末。凡一切顽恶毒。升丹所不能提出者。用此丹掺之神效。

动刀针外敷麻药 川乌 草乌 细辛 南星 半夏 蟾酥（各等分） 共为细末。用好酒炖熟调搽。待麻木不知痛
痒时。方可下手。
内服大麻药 香白芷 川芎 制半夏 木鳖肉 紫金皮 大茴香 牙皂 台乌药 当归（各二两） 木香（五分不
见火） 生川乌 生草乌（各一两） 共为末。每服一钱。好酒调下。待麻不知疼痛。方可下手。若人昏沉。用盐水灌
之。
黑灵丹：取大巴豆十六两、蓖麻子五钱，均不可去掉外壳。放入石臼中捣碎均匀。选择晴朗的日子，将风炉放置在露天处，上面用铁锅，以栗炭火炒至焦黑，直到没有白色油分渗出，方可研磨成极细的粉末。凡是各种顽固恶毒的疮疡，使用升丹无法提脓祛腐的，用此丹药掺敷，效果神妙。
黄灵丹：取生白矾六钱、枯白矾三钱、腰黄一钱，共同研磨成极细粉末，装入罐中储存，不要让灰尘杂质混入。凡是各种有毒的臭秽腐烂死肉无法去除的，掺敷此药后，自然能生长出新肉。如果在新长出的肉上掺敷，只需片刻，见到有脓水湿气渗出，疼痛就会立即停止。如果是肌肉腐烂引起的疼痛，先将金花散掺在好肉上，再用此丹掺在腐烂处，自然就不会疼痛。也可以将其制成粉条状使用。
醉仙丹：取川乌、草乌、乳香、没药（去油）、木鳖子仁。使用方法：取一块豆腐，将木鳖子放入其中，放在瓦片上烤至腐败枯干，取出并去掉皮毛。再加入白酒曲、鸦片（各一钱）、木香（五分），共同研磨成细末。用火酒泛丸，如弹子大小，每丸重七分。凡是痈疽疮毒，在使用内托药物化毒的时候，疼痛难以忍受，用酒送服一丸，就能止痛。
动刀针外敷麻药：取川乌、草乌、细辛、南星、半夏、蟾酥（各等份），共同研磨成细末。用好酒炖熟后调匀搽擦。等到患处麻木，不知痛痒时，才可以进行手术操作。
内服大麻药：取香白芷、川芎、制半夏、木鳖肉、紫金皮、大茴香、牙皂、台乌药、当归（各二两）、木香（五分，不经过火炒）、生川乌、生草乌（各一两），共同研磨成粉末。每次服用一钱，用好酒调服。等到身体麻木，不知疼痛时，才可以进行手术操作。如果患者出现昏沉症状，用盐水灌服解救。
Heiling Dan (Black Spirit Pill): Take sixteen taels of large croton seeds (Crotonis Tiglii Fructus, 巴豆) and five qian of castor beans (Ricini Semen, 蓖麻子), without removing their shells. Place them in a stone mortar and pound until uniform. On a clear day, place a wind furnace outdoors. Use an iron pot over chestnut charcoal fire to stir-fry until charred black, continuing until no white oil exudes. Grind into an extremely fine powder. For all kinds of stubborn and malignant toxic sores where Shengdan (Calomel or similar mercurial preparation for drawing out pus, 升丹) cannot effectively draw out pus and remove necrotic tissue, applying this pill yields miraculous effects.
Huangling Dan (Yellow Spirit Pill): Take six qian of raw alum (Alumen Crude, 生白矾), three qian of calcined alum (Alumen Ustam, 枯白矾), and one qian of realgar (Realgar, 腰黄). Grind together into an extremely fine powder and store in a jar, ensuring no dust or impurities enter. For all kinds of toxic, foul-smelling necrotic dead flesh that cannot be removed, applying this powder will naturally promote the growth of new flesh. If applied to newly grown flesh, within moments, upon seeing the exudation of pus and moisture, pain will cease immediately. If pain is caused by rotting flesh, first apply Jinhua San (Golden Flower Powder, 金花散) to the healthy flesh, then apply this pill to the necrotic area; pain will naturally not occur. It can also be formed into powder sticks for use.
Zuixian Dan (Drunken Immortal Pill): Take Chuanwu (Aconiti Radix Praeparata, 川乌), Caowu (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix Praeparata, 草乌), Ru Xiang (Olibanum, 乳香), Mo Yao (Myrrha, 没药 - de-oiled), and Muguziren Ren (Semen Strychni, 木鳖子仁). Preparation method: Take one piece of tofu, place the Strychnos seed inside it, and roast on a tile until it becomes rotten and dry. Remove and discard the skin/husk. Add Jiuniang (Fermented Rice Wine, 白酒曲), Yapians (Opium Poppy, 鸦片), and Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix, 木香 - five fen). Grind together into a fine powder. Form pills using Huojiu (Fire Liquor/Baijiu) to the size of a bullet, each weighing seven fen. For any carbuncles, ulcers, or toxic sores, when internal supportive medicines are being used to resolve toxins but pain is unbearable, take one pill with wine to stop pain.
Topical Anesthetic for Incision and Needling: Take Chuanwu (Aconiti Radix Praeparata, 川乌), Caowu (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix Praeparata, 草乌), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma, 细辛), Nanxing (Arisaematis Rhizoma, 南星), Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma Praeparatum, 半夏), and Chansu (Toad Venom, 蟾酥) in equal parts. Grind into a fine powder. Stew well with good wine and apply as a paste. Wait until numbness occurs and pain/itching are not felt before proceeding with surgical intervention.
Internal Strong Anesthetic: Take Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix, 香白芷), Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma, 川芎), Zhibanxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma Praeparatum, 制半夏), Mugourou (Semen Strychni, 木鳖肉), Zijinpi (Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis, 紫金皮), Dahuixiang (Foeniculi Fructus, 大茴香), Yazao (Gleditsiae Sinensis Spina, 牙皂), Taiwuyao (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma, 台乌药), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, 当归) - two taels each; Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix, 木香 - five fen, not roasted); Sheng Chuanwu (Raw Aconiti Radix, 生川乌); Sheng Caowu (Raw Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix, 生草乌) - one tael each. Grind into powder. Take one qian per dose, mixed with good wine. Wait until numbness sets in and pain is not felt before proceeding with surgery. If the patient becomes lethargic/unconscious, administer salt water to rescue.
