Renmian Chuang (Human-faced Ulcer), as mentioned in ancient texts, was once said to occur, but it is rarely heard of in recent times. Its etiology varies, and the pathogenic factors are distinct; the ulcer resembles a human face completely, with eyes and nose fully formed. It mostly occurs above the knee, but can also appear on the arm. ... Administer Shiquan Liuqi Yin (Ten-Ingredient Decoction for Promoting Qi Circulation) [see section on Liuzhu], and externally apply powdered Fubei Mu (Fritillariae Bulbus). The ulcer will then resemble a person gathering its eyebrows and closing its mouth. Subsequently, apply medicines that promote tissue regeneration and close the wound, and recovery can be achieved. Shiquan Liuqi Yin (see section on Liuzhu)
In cases of accidentally swallowing a needle causing throat obstruction, pain, and difficulty in swallowing, take a ball of hemp fiber, roll it into the size of a longan fruit, thread it with a string leaving an end outside, wet it with water, and quickly swallow it down. Pull it out shortly after; the needle head will inevitably pierce the hemp and come out together. If unsuccessful, repeat swallowing and pulling until the needle is expelled. For accidental swallowing of copper objects, consume many fresh water chestnuts (Biqie, 荸荠) to soften the hardness. If iron bones or similar hard objects are swallowed and cannot move through the intestines, causing a sensation of heaviness, consume plenty of green vegetables and pork fat to naturally guide them into the large intestine for excretion with feces. For various bones stuck in the throat, use 8 qian of Yuzanhua Gen (Uvulariae Radix), decocted with water along with appropriate guiding herbs according to the affected area, and drink the soup; the bone will be expelled and the patient cured. In cases where bones are stuck below the pharynx and cannot exit, push them down using Wulong Zhen (Black Dragon Needle), which will settle the bone safely.
Wulong Zhen: Treats bones stuck below the pharynx that are difficult to expel. Use fine iron wire, heat it until soft, form a longan-sized pill with yellow wax at both ends, wrap the tip of the iron wire with this wax, and further wrap it with silk floss. Push it into the pharynx to the site of the impacted bone; the bone will naturally slide down. If it does not descend, push again.
Another prescription for treating various bones stuck in the throat: Slice Yuzanhua Gen (Uvulariae Radix), decoct with water, gargle, and slowly spit out. The bone will naturally soften, then swallow dry rice to help it pass down.
Pishuang Du (Arsenic Poisoning): Pishuang (Realgar/Orpiment/Arsenic compounds) is a substance of extreme toxicity derived from yang essence. Ingestion causes the internal organs to become dry and depleted, the skin to turn purple-black, qi and blood to become reversed and chaotic, leading to collapse and death. If detected early after ingestion, crush the leaves of Dalan Genye (Radix Isatidis/Isatis Root Leaves - *Note: Text says 'Da Lan', likely referring to Isatis root or similar detoxifying herb*) and squeeze out the juice to administer orally; mild cases can be resolved. In areas without Dalan, grind raw Lüdou (Mung Bean) with water into a paste and administer with water; a larger dose is more effective. If there is no improvement, administer Jinzhi (Golden Juice) to ensure revival. After revival, if the patient is mute like a manic patient, administer Mung Bean water daily until the toxin is exhausted and recovery occurs.
Method for obtaining Jinzhi (Golden Juice): Take a section of two joints of large bamboo, split off half of the outer green skin with a knife, bind the middle of the joint tightly with bricks, and submerge it in a large manure pit. After one year, retrieve it, soak it in running water for one day, retrieve it again, drill open the joint holes. The liquid inside is the fermented urine/feces filtrate. Store in porcelain jars. This medicine is suitable for arsenic poisoning, pufferfish poisoning, Yang-toxicity madness due to Shanghan (Cold Damage), Dingchuang (Carbuncle/Furuncle), Sha Zheng (Sha Syndrome), when toxic vapors enter the interior causing restlessness, dry mouth, thirst for drinking, and a large, forceful pulse.
