Cracks on the hands and feet refer to the dry and cracked appearance, which is caused by the inability of Qi and Blood (vital energy and blood) to nourish the skin. When heat invades the muscles and is suddenly constrained by wind-cold, the blood vessels become stagnant, causing the skin to gradually wither and crack; if exposed to wind repeatedly during the day, wind and heat combine, resulting in significant pain. It is advisable to wash and rub the affected area with Yuji San (Jade Skin Powder), moisturize it with Runji Gao (Moisturizing Ointment), and for severe cases, taking Danggui Yinzi (Angelica Decoction) internally is beneficial.
Eye Dan (Ocular Erysipelas) arises from wind in the Spleen Meridian and excessive heat in the Stomach Meridian, combining to cause swelling. If wind predominates, the edema subsides easily; if heat is severe, the firm swelling is difficult to resolve. In the initial stage, Jinhuang San (Golden Yellow Powder) should be applied externally. If exterior symptoms are present, Jingfang Baidu San (Schizonepeta and Saposhnikovia Decoction to Expel Toxins) is used; if interior symptoms are present, Qingwei San (Stomach-Clearing Powder) with added Dahuang (Rhubarb Root) to promote purgation is indicated. If the swelling does not subside with these treatments and suppuration becomes inevitable, a plaster should be changed and applied; once pus matures, it should be incised immediately. Delaying treatment may lead to spontaneous rupture at the Qiming acupoint (Ex-HN17) on the inner canthus. Since this area is hollow internally and difficult to heal, fistulas often form.
Heizi refers to moles. This condition occurs when turbid Qi from the Kidneys stagnates among the Yang Qi, which binds and condenses it into a black mole that is hard and unyielding. ... It is suitable to use a fine copper tube to encircle the mole, twist it six or seven times to draw the mole into the tube, and then pull it out completely. For moles that are superficial and cannot be pulled out, prick the surface of the mole with a needle, apply a small amount of Bing Si San (Ice Snail Powder), cover it with paste-coated paper, and it will naturally fall off after three days; alternatively, Huimi Gao (Ash Rice Paste) can be dabbed on it. After it falls off, sprinkle Zhenzhu San (Pearl Powder) on the new skin to heal. Avoid soy sauce and vinegar to prevent scarring.
Jun Du (Fungus Poison) is formed by the accumulation and coagulation of heat in the Spleen Meridian. The lesion manifests as a mushroom-like growth emerging from within the eyelid, with a large head and a small stalk, growing larger and hanging down over time. In severe cases, it causes eversion of the eyelid, tearing, and even blurred vision. Treatment involves placing soft cotton paper soaked in water on the eyelid. After a moment, use the thumbnail of the left hand to press at the root of the lesion, and use the tip of a scalpel held in the right hand to cut it off cleanly at the base; bleeding is acceptable. Immediately grind Cuiyun Dian (Emerald Cloud Indigo) into a thick paste and apply it to stop the bleeding. Internally, take Liangge Qingpi Yin (Cooling the Diaphragm and Clearing the Spleen Decoction) for two doses. Strictly avoid seafood, fried foods, Sichuan pepper, ginger, and alcoholic beverages to prevent recurrence.
