Guankou Ju (Stork's Mouth Abscess) is formed due to the deficiency of the Three Yin meridians, where turbid qi and damp-phlegm flow and accumulate in the Du Meridian. The lesion arises at the Weili point (located at the end of the spine), presenting as a high, pointed swelling. Initially, it resembles a fish stomach; over time, it protrudes like a stork's beak. Symptoms include chills in the morning and fever in the evening, with symptoms being lighter during the day and heavier at night. After ulceration, thin pus flows out uncontrollably, or fresh blood bleeds continuously. For patients developing this condition, those in their prime years can manage it, whereas for the elderly, it is a cause for concern.
In the initial stage, Ziyin Chushi Tang (Nourish Yin and Dampness-Resolving Decoction) should be used to harmonize the condition. If the disease has formed but not yet ulcerated, Heqi Yangrong Tang (Harmonize Qi and Nourish Blood Decoction) should be used to expel toxins. If ulcerated but not healing, Zishen Baoyuan Tang (Nourish Kidney and Protect Yuan Decoction) should be used for tonification. If it persists and forms a fistula, taking Hupo Lafan Wan (Amber and Wax-Alum Pill) combined with Xiantian Dazao Wan (Pre-heaven Great Creation Pill) yields excellent results.
Ziyin Chushi Tang (Nourish Yin and Dampness-Resolving Decoction)
