Biandu (Groin Abscess) is a disease occurring in the lower abdomen, between the inner seams of both thighs. Upon initial onset, it presents with alternating chills and fever, accompanied by swelling and pain in the thigh region.
The Kidney is referred to as the "Official of Strength and Endurance" (Zuoqiang), storing Jing (Essence) and Zhi (Will). When men and women cannot fulfill their sexual desires directly, defeated Jing (Essence) and Blood contend and stagnate midway, condensing into Biandu (Groin Abscess). The junction where the legs meet the lower abdomen is the pathway for the emergence of Jing (Essence) and Qi (Vital Energy). Sometimes, visual stimuli stir the heart/mind, or nocturnal emissions occur without release; since Yin-Yang union cannot be achieved, and emotional attachments and thoughts cannot be extinguished, Jing (Essence) and Blood become mutually stagnant, forming swellings and nodules. In the early stage, one must strictly avoid using cold-natured herbs, lest the Qi and Blood become further condensed and unable to disperse, thereby causing greater harm. Instead, one should only dissipate cold pathogens and clear/drain heat-toxins, allowing Jing (Essence) and Blood to circulate freely, leading to natural recovery.
