小儿暴痢，是由于肠胃虚弱，突然受到冷热气机的伤害，从而引发暴痢。热邪所致者，大便颜色黄赤；寒邪所致者，大便颜色青白。
治疗小儿冷热之气不和，厌恶突发下痢，腹内疼痛的胡黄连散方：
胡黄连（一分）、母丁香（一分）、桂心（一分）、木香（一分）、犀角屑（半分）。
以上药材捣碎过细筛成为散剂。每次服用半钱，用米汤调服，每日三到四次。根据患儿年龄大小，酌情增减剂量服用。
治疗小儿暴痢，腹痛且不能进食的干姜散方：
干姜（一分，炮裂后锉碎）、人参（三分，去芦头）、甘草（一分，炙至微红后锉碎）、诃黎勒（半两，煨熟）、浓朴（三分，去粗皮，涂生姜汁炙至黄熟）。
以上药材捣碎过粗筛成为散剂。每次服用一钱，用水一小盏，加入薤白一茎，煎煮至五分水量，滤去药渣。不限时间服用。根据患儿年龄大小，酌情增减剂量服用。
治疗小儿暴痢的黄连散方：
黄连（三分，去须，微炒）、黄柏（三分，微炙后锉碎）、桃白皮（半两，微炙后锉碎）、丁香（半两）、胡黄连（二分）。
以上药材捣碎过细筛成为散剂。不限时间服用，用米汤调服半钱。根据患儿年龄大小，酌情增减剂量服用。

龙骨（一两）、枳壳（半两，麸炒至微黄，去瓤）、当归（半两，锉碎，微炒）、黄连（一两，去须，微炒）。

Pediatric sudden dysentery arises from deficiency and weakness of the intestines and stomach, where sudden injury by cold or hot pathogenic qi leads to the onset of sudden dysentery. When caused by heat, the stool color is yellowish-red; when caused by cold, the stool color is bluish-white.
Huahuanglian San (Huanglian Powder) for treating pediatric disharmony of cold and hot qi, aversion to sudden diarrhea, and abdominal pain:
* *Coptidis Rhizoma* (Huanglian, 1 fen), *Elettaria Fructus* (Mudingxiang, 1 fen), *Cinnamomi Cortex* (Guixin, 1 fen), *Aucklandiae Radix* (Muxiang, 1 fen), *Rhinocerotis Cornu* (Xijiao, 0.5 fen).
Crush the above herbs finely and sieve them into a powder. Administer half a qian per dose, mixed with rice water. Take three to four times daily. Adjust the dosage according to the child's age.
Ganjiang San (Dried Ginger Powder) for treating pediatric sudden dysentery with abdominal pain and anorexia:
* *Zingiberis Rhizoma* (Ganjiang, 1 fen, processed by frying until cracked and crushed), *Panacis Ginseng Radix* (Renshen, 3 fen, radix removed), *Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma* (Gancao, 1 fen, roasted until slightly red and crushed), *Terminalia Chebulae Fructus* (Helile, 0.5 liang, baked), *Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex* (Houpo, 3 fen, bark removed, coated with ginger juice and roasted until yellow).
Crush the above herbs coarsely and sieve them into a powder. Administer one qian per dose. Add one stalk of *Allii Macrostemonis Bulbus* (Xiebai) to one small cup of water, decoct until reduced to 0.5 cup volume, then filter out the dregs. Take at any time. Adjust the dosage according to the child's age.
Huanglian San (Coptis Powder) for treating pediatric sudden dysentery:
* *Coptidis Rhizoma* (Huanglian, 3 fen, fibrous roots removed, lightly stir-fried), *Phellodendri Cortex* (Huangbai, 3 fen, lightly roasted and crushed), *Pruni Persicae Cortex* (Taobaipi, 0.5 liang, lightly roasted and crushed), *Myrti Flos* (Dingxiang, 0.5 liang), *Coptidis Rhizoma* (Huhuanglian, 2 fen).
Crush the above herbs finely and sieve them into a powder. Take at any time, mixed with rice water, half a qian per dose. Adjust the dosage according to the child's age.
Gancao San (Licorice Powder) for treating pediatric sudden dysentery:
* *Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma* (Gancao, 3 fen, roasted until slightly red and crushed), *Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex* (Houpo, 3 fen, bark removed, coated with ginger juice and roasted until yellow), *Panacis Ginseng Radix* (Renshen, 0.5 liang, radix removed), *Scutellariae Radix* (Huangqin, 0.5 liang, black heart removed).
Crush the above herbs coarsely and sieve them into a powder. Administer one qian per dose. Add one small cup of water, decoct until reduced to 0.5 cup volume, then filter out the dregs. Take at any time. Adjust the dosage according to the child's age.
Longgu San (Dragon Bone Powder) for treating pediatric sudden dysentery:
* *Os Draconis* (Longgu, 1 liang), *Aurantii Fructus Immaturus* (Zhike, 0.5 liang, bran-fried until slightly yellow, pith removed), *Angelicae Sinensis Radix* (Danggui, 0.5 liang, crushed and lightly stir-fried), *Coptidis Rhizoma* (Huanglian, 1 liang, fibrous roots removed, lightly stir-fried).
Crush the above herbs coarsely and sieve them into a powder. Administer one qian per dose. Add one small cup of water, decoct until reduced to 0.5 cup volume, then filter out the dregs. Take at any time. Adjust the dosage according to the child's age.
Another prescription:
Take the tail of a small carp, burn it to ash, and grind it finely. Take at any time, mixed with rice water, half a qian per dose. Adjust the dosage according to the child's age.
