The eyes are the essence of the Zang-Fu organs and the external manifestation of the Liver, as the Liver Qi connects to the eyes. In children, phlegm-heat within the Zang-Fu organs steams and soaks into the Liver, then surges upward to affect the eyes.
Initially, depending on the severity, mild cases produce only one nebula (corneal opacity), while severe cases may result in two or three nebulas. If no nebula forms but a white cataract (leukoma) appears, the condition is extremely severe, completely covering the black pupil (cornea), accompanied by symptoms of non-redness, non-itchiness, and excessive tearing; or it may be due to heat from the brain flowing downward into the eyes, or sores/rashes invading the eyes and eroding the cornea.

To treat pediatric liver heat causing eye nebulas, or swelling and pain in the blood wheel (vascular margin of the eyelids), urgent treatment is required. It is suitable to take Cheqianzi San (Plantago Seed Powder).
Ingredients: Cheqianzi (Plantaginis Semen), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Gan Juhua (Chrysanthemi Flos), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, honey-fried and crushed), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Xingyi (Thlaspidis Fructus), Qingxiangzi (Celosiae Semen).
Process the above ingredients by crushing and sifting coarsely to make a powder. Take 1 qian per dose with one small cup of water, adding seven leaves of Danzhuye (Lophatheri Herba), decoct until five fen remains, remove dregs, and take warm. Three times daily.

To treat pediatric eye nebulas accompanied by body heat and restlessness, Huangqin San (Scutellaria Powder) is suitable.
Ingredients: Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Juemingzi (Cassiae Semen), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Chuan Shengma (Bupleuri Radix), Chuan Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, crushed and lightly stir-fried), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, honey-fried and crushed; each 1 fen).
Process the above ingredients by crushing and sifting coarsely to make a powder. Take 1 qian per dose with one small cup of water, adding seven leaves of Danzhuye (Lophatheri Herba), decoct until five fen remains, remove dregs, and take warm. Three times daily.

To treat white nebulas in children, Lingyangjiao San (Antelope Horn Powder) is suitable.
Ingredients: Lingyangjiao xie (Saigae Tataricae Cornu, shaved), Chuan Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, crushed and lightly stir-fried), Sanggen Baipi (Mori Cortex, crushed), Zhenzhu mo (Pearly Shell Powder), Gan Juhua (Chrysanthemi Flos; each 1 fen), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, honey-fried; 0.5 fen).
Process the above ingredients by crushing and sifting finely to make a powder. For each dose, mix half a qian with warm water. Take three to four times daily, adjusting the dosage according to the child's age and size.

To treat drooping eye nebulas in children, Kuzhuye San (Bitter Bamboo Leaf Powder) is suitable.
Ingredients: Kuzhuye (Bamboo Leaves, bitter variety; 0.5 liang), Zhi mu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma), Chuan Shengma (Bupleuri Radix), Chuan Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, crushed and lightly stir-fried), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, honey-fried and crushed), Zhizi ren (Gardeniae Semen; each 1 fen).
Process the above ingredients by crushing and sifting finely to make a powder. For children aged three to five, take half a qian mixed with warm light grain water after meals. For older children, adjust the dose accordingly.

To treat red membranes growing from below and infiltrating the cornea in children, Xuanfuhua San (Inula Flower Powder) is suitable.
Ingredients: Xuanfuhua (Inulae Flos), Sanggen Baipi (Mori Cortex, crushed), Lingyangjiao xie (Saigae Tataricae Cornu, shaved), Chi Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra), Xuanshen (Scrophulariae Radix; each 1 fen), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, honey-fried and crushed; 0.5 fen).
Process the above ingredients by crushing and sifting coarsely to make a powder. Take 1 qian per dose with one small cup of water, adding seven bamboo leaves, decoct until five fen remains, remove dregs, and take warm. Three to four times daily.

For children under five years old with liver heat-toxin causing "ding" shaped nebulas (pinpoint opacities), this formula is suitable.
Ingredients: Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Chuan Shengma (Bupleuri Radix), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, honey-fried and crushed; each 0.5 liang), Weirui (Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma), Xuanshen (Scrophulariae Radix), Xijiao xie (Rhinocerotis Cornu, shaved; each 1 fen).
Process the above ingredients by crushing and sifting coarsely to make a powder. Take 1 qian per dose with one small cup of water, decoct until five fen remains, remove dregs. Divide into two warm doses. Take three to four times daily.

To treat red nebulas in children, Tuogan Wan (Hare Liver Pill) is suitable.
Ingredients: Tuogan (Hare Liver, lightly fried; 0.5 liang), Zhizi ren (Gardeniae Semen; 0.5 liang), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma, cleaned; 0.5 liang), Chuan Shengma (Bupleuri Radix; 3 fen), Juemingzi (Cassiae Semen; 3 fen), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma...).
Process the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of mung beans. For children under three, grind three pills in warm water and administer. Take three to four times daily. For slightly older children... [text cuts off].

Ingredients: Qingxiangzi (Celosiae Semen), Ran She dan (Python Bile), Xiong dan (Ursi Fel), Mayaxiao (Natrii Sulfas), Longnao (Borneolum Syntheticum; 0.5 fen/qian).
Process the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of mung beans. For each dose, grind five pills in warm water and administer. Take three to four times daily, adjusting based on the child's size.

To treat red eyes with nebulas in children, Longnao Gao (Borneol Ointment) for topical application is suitable.
Ingredients: Longnao (Borneolum Syntheticum, finely ground), Shexiang (Moschus, finely ground), Nifen (Calomelas), Ruiren (Pruni Armeniaci Semen Exsiccatum, soaked in hot water and peeled), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma, cleaned; each 0.5 liang/fen), Mayaxiao (Natrii Sulfas)... [text cuts off].

Ingredients: Zhenzhu mo (Pearly Shell Powder), Longnao (Borneolum Syntheticum), Ruiren (Pruni Armeniaci Semen Exsiccatum, soaked in hot water and peeled), Nifen (Calomelas), Puxiao (Natrii Sulfas), Qingyan (Halitum), Zhusha (Cinnabaris; each 1 fen).
Grind the above ingredients finely into powder, mix with butter/ghee to form an ointment. Apply an amount the size of a millet seed three to four times daily.

To treat eye nebulas with dim pupils in children, Ruiren Jian (Apricot Kernel Decoction) for topical application is suitable.
Ingredients: Ruiren (Pruni Armeniaci Semen Exsiccatum, 1 fen, soaked in hot water and peeled), Huangdan (Minii Oxidum Rubrum; 0.5 liang), Jingyan (Well Salt; 0.5 fen), Huanglian mo (Coptidis Rhizoma Powder; 1 liang), Longnao (Borneolum Syntheticum; 0.5 liang/qian), Shexiang (Moschus)... To treat white membranes in children's eyes, this formula is suitable.
Use excrement of male sparrows, grind thoroughly with human breast milk, and apply to the nebula. It will gradually disappear.

To treat cataracts in children, Shanhu San (Coral Powder) is suitable.
Ingredients: Shanhu (Corallium Rubrum; 0.5 liang).
