热毒邪气侵袭心脏，会导致心神烦乱。阳气极度亢盛，进而出现胡言乱语、眼睛发红、心烦意乱、无法安睡、精神惊恐悸动、言语失常等症状。如果热毒邪气未能清除，腹部会出现燥结不通，脉象表现为洪大且快速，这就是其证候特征。
对于热病已经出汗但热势仍未解除，伴有腹胀、烦躁不安、胡言乱语不定者，可服用大柴胡散方。
药材：柴胡（一两）、川大黄（一两，锉碎后微炒）、黄芩（一两）、赤芍药（一两）、枳实（一两，麸炒至微黄）。
制法与用法：将上述药物捣碎并过粗筛制成散剂。每次服用五钱，加水一大盏，加入竹茹一分、生姜半分，煎煮至剩余五分药液，滤去药渣。不限服药时间，温服。
对于热病导致胡言乱语、心烦口渴者，适宜服用猪苓散方。
药材：猪苓（一两，去除黑皮）、白鲜皮（三分）、龙胆（半两，去除芦头）、泽泻（一分）、赤茯苓（三分）、麦门冬（一两，去除心后焙干）、黄芩（半两）、人参（三分，去除芦头）、甘草（三分，炙至微红后锉碎）。
制法与用法：将上述药物捣碎并过粗筛制成散剂。每次服用五钱，加水一大盏，煎煮至剩余五分药液，滤去药渣。不限服药时间，温服。
对于热病导致胡言乱语不止者，适宜服用白鲜皮散方。
药材：白鲜皮（半两）、黄芩（半两）、秦艽（半两，去除苗）、犀角屑（半两）、甘草（半两，炙至微红后锉碎）、麦门冬（半两，去除心）、大青（半两）、杏仁（半两，汤浸去皮尖及双仁，麸炒至微黄）。
制法与用法：将上述药物捣碎并过筛制成散剂。每次服用五钱，加水一大盏，煎煮至剩余五分药液，滤去药渣。不限服药时间，温服。
对于热病导致心肺热邪壅滞，胡言乱语、心神不安者，适宜服用龙齿散方。
药材：龙齿（一两）、人参（一两，去除芦头）、白鲜皮（三分）、川升麻（三分）、葳蕤（三分）、秦艽（三分，去除苗）、川大黄（一两，锉碎后微炒）、石膏（一两半）、川芒硝（一两）。
制法与用法：将上述药物捣碎并过筛制成散剂。每次服用五钱，加水一中盏，煎煮至剩余六分药液，滤去药渣。不限服药时间，温服。
治疗热病，热毒攻心，烦躁不安、胡言乱语、精神不定的方剂。
药材：生地黄汁（三合）、生姜汁（一合）、薄荷汁（一合）、白蜜（一合）、地龙（半两，微炒后去土，捣细罗为末）。
制法与用法：将前四种汁液混合，加入地龙末，搅拌均匀。不限服药时间，分两次温服。
治疗热病，烦热如火，胡言乱语、妄语欲奔走者，适宜服用此方。
药材：黄芩（一两）、甘遂（一两，煨至黄色）、龙胆（一两，去除芦头）。
制法与用法：将上述药物捣碎并过细筛制成散剂。每次服用时，不限时间，用温水调服一钱。片刻之后，让患者饮水三两盏。若腹部胀满则引发呕吐。此方治疗大热急症，效果显著。
治疗热病，经过五六天，壮热不退，胡言乱语、欲奔走者。
药材：鸡蛋清（取二至三枚的蛋清）、川芒硝（半两，细研）、寒水石（半两，细研）。
制法与用法：先用新汲水一小盏，调和芒硝等粉末，然后加入鸡蛋清，搅拌均匀。不限服药时间，分为两次服用。
治疗热病，胡言乱语，心神惊恐悸动，烦热气喘急促者，适宜服用牛黄丸方。
药材：牛黄（一分，细研）、犀角屑（半两）、人参（半两，去除芦头）、茯神（半两）、胡黄连（半两）、龙胆（半两）、麦门冬（半两，去除心）。
制法与用法：将上述药物捣碎过筛为末，充分研磨均匀。用炼蜜和丸，如梧桐子大小。每次服用时，不限时间，用新汲水送服十五丸。
治疗热病胡言乱语，以及各类黄疸病的雪煎方。
药材：川大黄（五两，锉碎后微炒）。
制法与用法：将上述药物捣碎并过细筛制成散剂。使用腊月积雪水五升，煎煮成膏状。每次服用时，不限时间，用冷水调服半匙。
When heat-toxin pathogenic factors attack the Heart, it causes mental restlessness and confusion. When Yang Qi becomes excessively flourishing, it leads to delirious speech, red eyes, mental irritability, inability to sleep, spiritual fright and palpitations, and abnormal speech. If the heat-toxin is not eliminated, dryness and accumulation will form in the abdomen, and the pulse will be surging and rapid; this constitutes its clinical manifestation.
For febrile diseases where sweating has occurred but the heat remains unresolved, accompanied by abdominal distension, irritability, and unstable delirious speech, Da Chai Hu San (Great Bupleurum Powder) may be administered.
Ingredients: Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix, 1 liang), Chuan Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, 1 liang, crushed and lightly stir-fried), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, 1 liang), Chi Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra, 1 liang), Zhishi (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus, 1 liang, stir-fried with bran until slightly yellow).
Preparation and Administration: The above ingredients are coarsely ground and sieved to make a powder. Each dose consists of 5 qian, decocted with one da zhan of water, plus 1 fen of Zhuru (Bambusae Caulis in Taeniam) and 0.5 fen of Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens), until reduced to 0.5 zhan. Strain the dregs. Take warm at any time.
For febrile diseases causing delirious speech, mental irritability, and thirst, Zhu Ling San (Polyporus Powder) is suitable.
Ingredients: Zhuling (Polypori Sclerotium, 1 liang, black skin removed), Baixianpi (Dictamni Cortex, 3 qian), Longdan (Gentianae Radix, 0.5 liang, radix head removed), Zexie (Alismatis Rhizoma, 1 fen), Chi Fuling (Poria cum Pini Radix, 3 qian), Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix, 1 liang, heart removed and baked), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, 0.5 liang), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, 3 qian, radix head removed), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 3 qian, honey-fried until slightly red and crushed).

For febrile diseases with incessant delirious speech, Baixian Pi San (Dictamni Cortex Powder) is suitable.
Ingredients: Baixianpi (Dictamni Cortex, 0.5 liang), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, 0.5 liang), Qinjiao (Gentianae Macrophyllae Radix, 0.5 liang, sprouts removed), Xijiaoxie (Rhinocerotis Cornu, 0.5 liang), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 0.5 liang, honey-fried until slightly red and crushed), Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix, 0.5 liang, heart removed), Daqing (Isatidis Folium, 0.5 liang), Xingren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum, 0.5 liang, soaked in water, skin and tips removed, double-kernel avoided, stir-fried with bran until slightly yellow).
Preparation and Administration: The above ingredients are ground and sieved to make a powder. Each dose consists of 5 qian, decocted with one da zhan of water until reduced to 0.5 zhan. Strain the dregs. Take warm at any time.
For febrile diseases where heat-toxin obstructs the Heart and Lungs, causing delirious speech and mental unrest, Longchi San (Dragon's Teeth Powder) is suitable.
Ingredients: Longchi (Dentis Mamuthi Fosilium, 1 liang), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, 1 liang, radix head removed), Baixianpi (Dictamni Cortex, 3 qian), Chuan Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma, 3 qian), Weirui (Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma, 3 qian), Qinjiao (Gentianae Macrophyllae Radix, 3 qian, sprouts removed), Chuan Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, 1 liang, crushed and lightly stir-fried), Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum, 1.5 liang), Chuan Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas, 1 liang).
Preparation and Administration: The above ingredients are ground and sieved to make a powder. Each dose consists of 5 qian, decocted with one zhong zhan of water until reduced to 0.6 zhan. Strain the dregs. Take warm at any time.
Formula for treating febrile diseases where heat-toxin attacks the Heart, causing irritability, delirious speech, and mental instability.
Ingredients: Sheng Dihuangzhi (Rehmanniae Radix Juice, 3 he), Shengjiangzhi (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens Juice, 1 he), Bohezhi (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba Juice, 1 he), Baimi (Mel, 1 he), Dilong (Pheretima, 0.5 liang, lightly stir-fried, earth removed, ground finely through sieve).
Preparation and Administration: Mix the four juices together, add the Dilong powder, and stir evenly. Take warm in two divided doses at any time.
For febrile diseases with intense heat like fire, delirious speech, nonsense talking, and urge to run, this formula is suitable.
Ingredients: Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, 1 liang), Gansui (Euphorbiae Pekinensis Radix, 1 liang, roasted until yellow), Longdan (Gentianae Radix, 1 liang, radix head removed).
Preparation and Administration: The above ingredients are finely ground and sieved to make a powder. Each dose is 1 qian, taken with warm water at any time. Shortly after, have the patient drink three liang of water. If abdominal fullness occurs, induce vomiting. This formula is very effective for severe acute heat conditions.
For febrile diseases lasting five or six days, with high fever, delirious speech, and urge to run.
Ingredients: Jizi Qing (Album Ovi Galli, extract from two to three eggs), Chuan Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas, 0.5 liang, finely ground), Hanshuishi (Halaesitum, 0.5 liang, finely ground).
Preparation and Administration: First, mix the Mangxiao powder with a small zhong zhan of fresh well-water. Then add the albumen, stirring evenly. Divide into two doses, taken at any time.
For febrile diseases causing delirious speech, mental fright and palpitations, irritability, heat, panting, and shortness of breath, Niuhuang Wan (Calculus Bovis Pill) is suitable.
Ingredients: Niuhuang (Calculus Bovis, 1 fen, finely ground), Xijiaoxie (Rhinocerotis Cornu, 0.5 liang), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, 0.5 liang, radix head removed), Fushen (Poria cum Radice Pinelli, 0.5 liang), Huhuanglian (Coptidis Chinensis Rhizoma, 0.5 liang), Longdan (Gentianae Radix, 0.5 liang), Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix, 0.5 liang, heart removed).
Preparation and Administration: Grind all ingredients into fine powder and mix thoroughly. Blend with refined honey to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take 15 pills with fresh well-water at any time.
Xue Jian (Snow Decoction) for treating febrile disease delirium and various types of jaundice.
Ingredients: Chuan Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, 5 liang, crushed and lightly stir-fried).
Preparation and Administration: Grind the ingredient into fine powder. Decoct using five sheng of snow water collected in the twelfth lunar month until it forms a paste. Take half a spoonful mixed with cold water at any time.
