肾开窍于耳。过度劳累损伤会导致肾气虚弱。风邪侵入肾经，就会使人耳聋并伴有痛苦的耳鸣声。膀胱内有停滞的水液，浸渍到肾脏。
治疗因虚劳导致的肾脏功能受损，出现耳聋、身体消瘦、脚膝无力、疼痛等症状，适宜服用补肾汤方。
药材：磁石（二两，捣碎后用水淘洗去除红色汁液）、牛膝（一两，去苗）、桂心（一两）、黄芪（一两半，锉碎）、人参（一两）、白术（一两，去黑皮）。
以上药材，捣碎过粗罗筛成粉末。每次服用时，取羊肾一对，切去脂膜，用一大盏半的水，煎煮羊肾至一盏水，去掉羊肾，加入药末，再煎至适量，温服。
药材：熟干地黄（一两）、磁石（二两，捣碎后用水淘洗去除红色汁液）、防风（三分，去芦头）、羌活（三分）、黄芪（一两半，锉碎）。
以上药材，捣碎过粗罗筛成散剂。每次服用时，取羊肾一对，切去脂膜，用一大盏半的水，煎煮至一盏水，去掉羊肾，加入药散，再煎至适量，温服。
治疗因虚劳导致的身体羸弱消瘦、脚腰无力、耳聋、盗汗、心中时常惊悸不安，适宜服用白羊肉汤方。
药材：白羊肉（二斤，去脂膜，用水四升煮取二升汁）、杜仲（一两，去粗皮，炙微黄，锉碎）、白茯苓（一两）、熟干地黄（一两）、桂心（一两）。
以上药材，捣碎过粗罗筛成散剂。每次服用四钱，用羊肉汁一中盏，煎至六分，去渣滓。每次在饭前温服。
药材：菖蒲（三两）、木通（二两，锉碎）、磁石（五两，捣碎后用水淘洗去除红色汁液）、防风（二两，去芦头）、桂心（二两）。
以上药材，细锉碎，用生绢袋盛装，用酒一斗，放入药材浸泡七日后，每日饭前，温热一小盏服用。
治疗因虚劳导致的肾脏虚弱，耳聋，或者经常听到钟磬风雨之声，适宜服用补肾虚磁石丸方。
药材：磁石（二两，烧红后用醋淬炼七遍，捣碎后用水飞法处理）、鹿茸（一两半，去毛，涂酥炙微黄）、人参（一两，去皮脐）、牡蛎（一两，煅）、防风（一两，去芦头）、石斛（一两）。
以上药材，捣罗成粉末，用炼蜜调和，捣三五百杵，制成梧桐子大小的丸药。每次服用时，空腹及晚饭前，用温酒送下三十丸。
药材：肉苁蓉（一两，酒浸一夜，刮去皱皮，炙干）、黄芪（一两，锉碎）、熟干地黄（一两）、巴戟天（一两）、枳壳（一两，去瓤）、附子（一两，酒浸三日，炮裂）。

To treat deafness, emaciation, weakness and pain in the legs and knees due to Kidney damage from consumptive disease (Xu Lao), the Bu Shen Tang (Tonify the Kidney Decoction) is indicated.
Ingredients: Cishi (Magnetitum, 2 liang, crushed and washed with water to remove red juice); Niuxi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix, 1 liang, removed seedlings); Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex, 1 liang); Huangqi (Astragali Radix, 1.5 liang, sliced); Renshen (Ginseng Radix, 1 liang); Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, 1 liang, removed dark skin).
Crush the above ingredients into a coarse powder. For each dose, take one pair of sheep kidneys, remove the fatty membrane, add 1.5 da zhan of water, decoct the kidneys until 1 da zhan remains, discard the kidneys, add the herbal powder, decoct further, and take warm.
For treating deafness and deficient tinnitus due to consumptive disease, this formula is suitable.
Ingredients: Shu Dihuang (Prepared Rehmanniae Radix, 1 liang); Cishi (Magnetitum, 2 liang, crushed and washed with water to remove red juice); Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, 3 fen, removed radicle); Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix, 3 fen); Huangqi (Astragali Radix, 1.5 liang, sliced).
Crush the above ingredients into a powder. For each dose, take one pair of sheep kidneys, remove the fatty membrane, add 1.5 da zhan of water, decoct until 1 da zhan remains, discard the kidneys, add the herbal powder, decoct further, and take warm.
For treating emaciation, weakness in the lower back and legs, deafness, night sweats, and frequent palpitations due to consumptive disease, the Bai Yang Rou Tang (White Goat Meat Decoction) is indicated.
Ingredients: Bai Yang Rou (White Goat Meat, 2 jin, remove fatty membrane, boil in 4 sheng of water to obtain 2 sheng of broth); Duzhong (Eucommiae Cortex, 1 liang, remove rough bark, stir-fry until slightly yellow, slice); Baifuling (Poria, 1 liang); Shu Dihuang (Prepared Rehmanniae Radix, 1 liang); Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex, 1 liang).
Crush the above ingredients into a powder. Take 4 qian per dose, add 1 zhong zhan of goat meat broth, decoct until 6 fen remains, filter dregs, and take warm before meals.
For treating deafness due to consumptive disease, the Changpu Jin Jiu (Calamus Infused Wine) is indicated.
Ingredients: Changpu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma, 3 liang); Mutong (Akebiae Caulis, 2 liang, sliced); Cishi (Magnetitum, 5 liang, crushed and washed with water to remove red juice); Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, 2 liang, removed radicle); Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex, 2 liang).
Finely slice the above ingredients, place in a raw silk bag, immerse in 1 dou of wine for seven days. Warm a small zhan and take before each meal.
For treating weak Kidney function due to consumptive disease, deafness, or hearing sounds like bells, chimes, wind, and rain, the Bu Shen Xu Cishi Wan (Tonify Kidney Deficiency Magnetite Pill) is indicated.
Ingredients: Cishi (Magnetitum, 2 liang, calcined until red, quenched in vinegar seven times, crushed, and processed by water levigation); Lurong (Cervi Cornu Pantotrichum, 1.5 liang, remove hair, coat with butter, stir-fry until slightly yellow); Renshen (Ginseng Radix, 1 liang, remove skin and navel); Muli (Ostreae Concha, 1 liang, calcined); Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, 1 liang, removed radicle); Shihu (Dendrobii Caulis, 1 liang).
Grind the above ingredients into powder, mix with refined honey, pound 300-500 times, and form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take 30 pills with warm wine on an empty stomach and before evening meals.
For treating deafness due to insufficient Kidney Qi from consumptive disease, the Roushou Rong Wan (Cistanche Pill) is indicated.
Ingredients: Roushou Rong (Cistanches Herba, 1 liang, soaked in wine overnight, scrape off wrinkled skin, dry by stir-frying); Huangqi (Astragali Radix, 1 liang, sliced); Shu Dihuang (Prepared Rehmanniae Radix, 1 liang); Bajitian (Morinda Officinalis Radix, 1 liang); Zhike (Aurantii Fructus, 1 liang, remove pulp); Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, 1 liang, soaked in wine for three days, processed until cracked).
Grind the above ingredients into powder, mix with refined honey, pound 300-500 times, and form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take 30 pills with warm wine on an empty stomach and before evening meals daily.
