醋咽（指进食后出现类似打嗝或反酸的症状），是由于上焦有痰饮停滞，脾胃有积寒所致。因此不能消化谷物；谷物不能消化，就会导致腹部胀满、气机上逆。所以喜好出现这种症状。
治疗呃逆和醋咽。症见胸膈部感觉不畅，食欲减退，腹部胀满。用陈橘皮散方。

治疗脾肺气寒，上攻胸膈，呕吐酸水，不思饮食，腹胁部虚胀。用槟榔丸方。

Acid regurgitation (a symptom resembling hiccup or acid reflux after eating) is caused by the retention of phlegm-fluid in the Upper Jiao (Upper Burner) and accumulated cold in the Spleen and Stomach. Consequently, grains cannot be digested; when grains are not digested, it leads to abdominal distension and rebellious Qi. Therefore, this condition is prone to occur.
Treat hiccups and acid regurgitation. Symptoms include discomfort in the chest and diaphragm, poor appetite, and abdominal distension. Use Chenjupi San Formula.

The above medicines are coarsely ground into a powder. Each dose consists of four qian. Add one zhong of water, half a qian of fresh ginger, and two jujubes. Decoct until reduced to six parts. Strain off the dregs. Take while warm, do not wait for it to cool.
Treat acid regurgitation immediately after meals. Symptoms include stagnation of Qi in the heart and chest, pain in the abdomen and hypochondrium, and inability to eat. Use Renshen San Formula.

Treat acid regurgitation accompanied by vomiting of clear fluid and white foam, indigestion of food and drink, and distension in the abdomen and hypochondrium. Use Banglang San Formula.

Treat deficiency-cold of the Spleen and Lung Qi attacking the chest and diaphragm, vomiting of sour fluid, loss of appetite, and empty distension in the abdomen and hypochondrium. Use Banglang Wan Formula.
