鬼疟，是由邪气侵袭所致。其发作没有固定的时间规律，有时一天发作两三次寒热交替，有时两天才发作一次。患者心神恍惚，病程绵延经年。
治疗鬼疟，发作无定时，寒热不定的麝香丸方：
麝香（三两，需细研）、朱砂（三分，需细研）、砒霜（半两，需细研）、恒山（半两，切碎）、鳖甲（半两，涂醋炙至黄色，去除裙边）、虎头骨（半两，涂酥油炙至微黄）、甘草（半两，生用）。
以上药材，捣碎过筛成粉末，将前三味药研入其中混合均匀。在五月五日，用粽子和药制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子。在即将发作时，用温酒送服三丸，以出现呕吐或腹泻为度。
治疗鬼疟，神效的手把丸方：
猢狲头骨（半两）、虎头骨（半两）、猫儿头骨（半两）、砒霜（一分，需细研）、恒山（一两，切碎）、朱砂、阿魏（一分）。

以上药材，捣碎过筛成粉末，加入麝香研匀。用醋煮面糊和药制成丸剂，大小如鸡头实。男性系于左手，女性系于右手的中指上，绑一丸即可痊愈。如果未愈，则用醋茶送服一丸，效果极佳。
治疗鬼疟的神效方：
砒霜（半两，需细研）、朱砂（半两，需细研）、麝香（一分，需细研）、阿魏（一分，需细研）、乳香（半两，需细研）、安息香（一分）、绿豆（一分，研末）、猢狲头骨（一分）、虎粪中的骨头（一分）。
以上药材，捣碎过筛成粉末，全部研匀。用蒸饼和药制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子。在发作前，男性持左手，女性持右手的一丸，随即躺下。约一顿饭的时间后起身，病即痊愈。
治疗鬼疟，纳药于鼻中即刻见效的方子：
天灵盖（一分）、猢狲头骨（一分）、臭黄（一分，需细研）、阿魏（一分）、乳香（一分）、麝香（一分，需细研）、藜芦（一分，去芦头）、黄丹（一分）。
以上药材，捣碎过筛成粉末，全部研匀。用醋煮面糊和药制成丸剂，大小如豇豆。在即将发作前，先用棉布包裹一丸，纳入鼻中，病即痊愈。
治疗鬼疟，连年不愈的方子：
恒山（一分）、朱砂（半两，需细研）、黄丹（半两，炒至紫色）。
以上药材，用一大盏水浸泡，用刀搅拌三二十下。将刀横放在药水上，置于星月下过夜。到发病日清晨，用刀搅拌，冷服半盏。在发作前，再服半盏。待药力散去后，方可进食。
又一方：
砒霜（一分）、蜘蛛（三枚）。
以上药材，共同研成丸剂，大小如梧桐子。每次用棉布包裹一丸，男性塞左耳，女性塞右耳。
治疗鬼疟，进退不定，神效的方子：
人胆、朱砂、雄黄、麝香（各等分）。
以上药材混合，研至极细。用醋煮面糊和药制成丸剂，大小如绿豆。每次用棉布包裹一丸，纳入鼻中即愈。每丸可治两人。
又一方：
阿魏（一分，需细研）、野狐肝（一个，连同胆汁一起收于新瓦罐内，阴干后研末）。
以上药材，全部研匀。用醋煮面糊和药制成丸剂，大小如鸡头实。男性持左手，女性持右手的一丸。如果未愈，即用红帛系于中指上，也不断嗅闻它。
又一方：
雄野狐粪（一分）、蝙蝠粪（一分）。
以上药材，捣碎过筛成粉末，用醋煮面糊和药制成丸剂，大小如鸡头实。在即将发作时，男性持左手，女性持右手的一丸嗅闻。
又一方：
砒霜（半两，需细研）、五方桃心（一把）。
先取东方之桃心，其次北方，逆向取齐五方的桃心足（指桃木枝条或核心部分），在砂盆内研细。然后加入砒霜混合，研匀。制成如梧桐子大的丸剂。在发作前，用刚打来的冷水送服二丸。忌食热性食物。
又一方：
猢狲头骨（一枚，烧成灰）。
研细为散剂。空腹时，用温酒调服一钱。在发作时再服一次。
又一方：
桃心（一大握）。
捣碎绞取汁液，分为两次服用。在发病日的早晨，用井华水（清晨第一次打的井水）半盏调服。等到临近发作时再服一次。
Gui Malaria (Ghost Malaria) is caused by pathogenic factors. Its onset has no fixed schedule; it may occur two or three times a day with alternating chills and fever, or once every two days. The patient suffers from mental confusion and the condition persists for years.
**Musk Pill Formula for Treating Gui Malaria with Irregular Onset and Unstable Chills/Fever:**
* Moschus (She Xiang, 麝香): 3 liang, finely ground.
* Cinnabaris (Zhu Sha, 朱砂): 3 fen, finely ground.
* Arsenic Trioxide (Pi Shuang, 砒霜): 0.5 liang, finely ground.
* Radix Dichroae (Heng Shan, 恒山): 0.5 liang, chopped.
* Carapax et Plastrum Testudinis (Bie Jia, 鳖甲): 0.5 liang, brushed with vinegar and roasted until yellow, remove the skirt-like edges.
* Os Tigris (Hu Tou Gu, 虎头骨): 0.5 liang, brushed with suet (animal fat) and roasted until slightly yellow.
* Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata (Gan Cao, 甘草): 0.5 liang, used raw.
Process: Crush and sieve the above herbs into powder. Mix in the first three ingredients thoroughly. On the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, combine with glutinous rice dumplings (zongzi) to form pills the size of *Koelreuteria paniculata* seeds. When an attack is imminent, take 3 pills with warm wine. The treatment is considered effective when vomiting or diarrhea occurs.
**Hand-Held Pill Formula for Treating Gui Malaria with Divine Efficacy:**
* Cranium Simiae (Hu Sun Tou Gu, 猢狲头骨): 0.5 liang.
