Take the white part of chicken feces, in an amount the size of a jujube pit, mix with half a cup of wine, and instill into the patient's mouth and nose; this is effective.
Take dust from the roof beams, in an amount the size of a soybean, and use a small bamboo tube to intermittently blow it into both ears and nostrils of the patient; the patient will revive immediately.
Instill human feces into the patient's nasal cavity, oral cavity, eyes, and ears. Simultaneously, grasp a tuft of hair, thick as a nasal tube, and pull firmly; the patient will revive immediately.
Instill indigo juice (from *Indigofera tinctoria*) into the patient's mouth; the patient will revive immediately.
Place pine nut oil (*Pinus* seed oil) into the patient's mouth and allow them to swallow; the patient will revive. This method is also applicable for treating drowning.
Tightly bind the patient's body with silk cloth until it becomes rigid. Then, transport the patient by cart or ox for about thirty *li*. Have people walk on the cart and pull the shoulders as described previously to expel water from the abdomen.
Place a large earthenware jar upside down on the ground. Position the drowning victim with their abdomen resting on the jar. Light a gentle fire underneath the jar, directly opposite the victim's heart region. After a short while, if the area under the jar warms up and water flows out of the mouth, the patient will revive. Ensure the temperature does not become too high.
Take non-boring soap pod (*Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus*), grind it into a fine powder, and mix with juice of green onion bulb (*Allii fistulosi Bulbus*) or jujube flesh to form pills the size of a jujube pit. Insert the pill into the anus; water will naturally flow out, and the patient will recover.
Hang the drowning victim upside down. Instill good-quality wine into the nasal cavity and around the nose, or instill vinegar into the nasal cavity; either is acceptable.
Invert the victim to drain the water. Cover the abdomen generously with ash. Additionally, blow soap pod powder (*Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus* powder) into both nostrils; the patient will revive.
Apply calcined lime (*Calcitum*) to occlude the anus. Press the anal region to ensure all water is expelled; the patient will revive. Alternatively, insert calcined lime wrapped in cotton into the anus.
For any drowning victim rescued from the water, immediately find an ox. Place the victim's abdomen transversely across the ox's back, with assistants supporting both sides. Lead the ox slowly to facilitate the expulsion of water from the abdomen. If the patient regains consciousness, administer pills such as *Suhe Xiang Wan* (Styrax Pill) or rub the teeth with old ginger root (*Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens*). If no ox is available, have a living person lie supine on a long bench. Position the drowning victim so that their abdomen rests against the living person's body, as described above. Once water is expelled, the patient will revive. Additionally, moxibustion should be applied to the umbilicus (*Shenque*, CV8) with one hundred moxa cones.
First, have someone hold the victim securely, tilting the head slightly backward. Use your mouth to suction yellow fluid from the nasal cavity. Then, warm the lower body and scrotal region using warm cotton wadding; the patient will revive. If cotton wadding is unavailable, cover the entire body with dozens of baskets of ash, leaving only the face exposed, with the head tilted backward; revival is also possible.
