Use Bai Ding Xiang (Stool of a white cat) in any quantity, mix with the milk of a man whose first child is pregnant, and apply to the eyes for immediate cure (apply a small amount, do not use too much).
Shan Ji Li (Tribulus terrestris) one jin (pound), crushed, remove skin and spines, stir-fry over slow fire to remove heat. Qing Yan (Halite) two liang.
Take five qian each time, decoct in water and take orally; long-term use is beneficial.
Feng Mi (Honey), Xiong Dan (Bear Bile), Ren Ru (Human Milk), Qing Yu Dan (Green Fish Gallbladder) in equal parts.
Boil in a copper spoon until it becomes a paste, add a small amount of Pian Nao (Borneol), store in porcelain ware, and apply to the eyes for extreme efficacy.
Sheep liver one piece, do not touch water, do not contact iron utensils, cut open with a bamboo knife, add Gu Jing Cao (Euphrasiae Herba) and Xi Mi (fine rice), cook thoroughly in a clay pot, take occasionally; frequently effective (black sheep liver is more effective).
Treat dim vision and nebula covering the pupils.
Mi Meng Hua (Galegae Flos) one jin (steamed three times mixed with honey water), Mu Zei (Equiseti Herba) four liang (remove nodes, lightly stir-fried), Chuan Xiong (Ligustici Rhizoma et Radix) eight liang (steamed mixed with honey water), Bai Ji Li (Tribuli Fructus) four liang.
Grind into fine powder. Take two qian each time, washed down with clear tea.
Fan Mu Die (Strychnos nux-vomica) one seed, grind with water and drip into the ear canal for immediate cure.
Hai Piao Xiao (Sepiae Endoconcha) (powdered) one qian, Ku Fan (Alumen) one qian, She Xiang (Musk) one fen, Gan Yan Zhi (Dry Red Ochre) five fen.
Grind into powder. Blow into the ear canal for immediate effect.
Xi Xin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Shi Chang Pu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma), Mu Tong (Akebiae Caulis) each one fen, She (Musk) one li.
Grind into powder. Wrap in cotton and insert into the ear canal for immediate cure.
Nourish blood and tonify kidney, long-term use brightens the eyes.
Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Sheng Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix), Niu Xi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix), Zhi Ke (Aurantii Fructus) (stir-fried), Tu Si Zi Bing (Cuscutae Semen prepared as cake), Shu Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix Preparata), Gou Qi Zi (Lycii Fructus), Ju Hua (Chrysanthemi Flos), Di Gu Pi (Lycii Cortex), Yuan Zhi Rou (Polygalae Radix flesh) in equal parts. Soak Sheng Di Huang and Shu Di Huang in wine, crush into paste, form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take 50-60 pills each time, washed down with boiling water far from meals.
Treat wind-heat attacking upwards in men and women, causing swollen and painful eyes, photophobia, sensation of foreign body and difficulty opening, fleshy growth invading the cornea, or sudden severe swelling and unbearable pain.
