夫产难子死腹中者，多因惊动太早，或触犯禁忌，致令产难。皆因秽沃先下，产时未到
，秽露已尽而胎枯躁，故子死腹中。其候产母舌青黑及胎上冷者，子已死也。故产处坐卧须
顺四时方面，并避五行禁忌，若有触犯，多招灾祸也。
治妊娠三、五个月，胎死在腹内不出，当归葵子散。
大腹子 赤芍药 榆白皮（各三两） 当归（一两，炒） 滑石末（三分） 瞿麦 葵
子（炒） 茯苓 粉草 子芩（各半两）
上为粗末，每服四钱。水一盏，煎至七分，去滓，不拘时温服。
疗死胎腹内不出，母已危殆不得已者。立效方。
水银（半两） 桂末（一钱）
上只作一服，温酒调下。粥饮亦可。
又方∶以利斧 赤置酒中，待温饮之，其子便下。
治妊娠胎死腹中，候其母面赤舌青者是。宜锡粉丸。（出《指迷》）
锡粉 水银（各一钱）
上同研，不见水银为度，以枣肉和丸如豌豆大，煎瞿麦汤吞下。
疗胎死腹中。
以好辰砂一两，水煮数沸，研令极细，酒调二钱服。
又方∶以鸡子黄一枚，用姜汁一合调鸡子黄令均，顿服。分娩后吃芸苔粥良。
桂心（末，二钱） 麝香当门子（一个）
上同研，温酒调服，须臾如手推下，比之用水银等药，不损血气。何氏方无麝香，每用
桂末二钱，痛阵密时，用温童子小便调下，名观音救生散。兼治产难及横、倒生。
分娩困难且胎儿死于腹中的情况，多因孕妇过早受惊动，或触犯禁忌，导致难产。这都是因为污秽的羊水先流出，未到预产期时，胎液已耗尽而胎儿干枯躁动，所以胎儿死于腹中。其征象是产妇舌头呈青黑色，且胎儿部位感觉寒冷，这表明胎儿已经死亡。因此，分娩时的坐卧姿势必须顺应四季的方向，并避开五行相克的禁忌，若有触犯，往往会招致灾祸。
治疗妊娠三、五个月时，胎儿死于腹内无法排出的情况，使用当归葵子散。
大腹子（槟榔）、赤芍药、榆白皮（各三两）、当归（一两，炒制）、滑石末（三分）、瞿麦、葵子（炒制）、茯苓、粉草（甘草）、子芩（黄芩）（各半两）。
以上药物捣成粗末，每次服用四钱。加水一盏，煎煮至七分满，滤去药渣，不拘时间温服。
治疗死胎在腹内无法排出，母亲已处于危急境地不得已而为之的情况。立效方。
水银（半两）、桂末（肉桂粉，一钱）。
以上只作一次服用，用温酒调服。喝粥汤也可以。
又一方：将利斧烧红后放入酒中，待酒温热后饮下，胎儿便会排出。
治疗妊娠期间胎儿死于腹中，观察到产妇面部发红、舌头青黑的症状时使用。宜用锡粉丸。（出自《指迷》）
锡粉、水银（各一钱）。
以上共同研磨，直到看不见水银颗粒为止，用枣肉和丸，大小如豌豆，用瞿麦汤送服。
治疗胎死腹中。
用好辰砂（朱砂）一两，用水煮数沸，研磨至极细，用酒调服二钱。
又一方：取鸡蛋黄一枚，用姜汁一合调和鸡蛋黄使其均匀，一次性服下。分娩后吃芸苔粥效果好。
桂心（肉桂心，研末，二钱）、麝香当门子（麝香，一个）。
以上共同研磨，用温酒调服，不久胎儿就像被手推出来一样排出，比起使用水银等药物，不损伤气血。何氏方中没有麝香，每用桂末二钱，在疼痛阵发密集时，用温热的童子小便调服，名为观音救生散。兼治难产及横位、倒生。
Difficult labor with the fetus dead in the uterus is often caused by premature agitation or violation of taboos, leading to dystocia. This occurs because the amniotic fluid (hui wo) leaks out prematurely; before the time of delivery arrives, the fetal fluids are exhausted, causing the fetus to become dry and restless, thus resulting in intrauterine fetal death. The signs include a bluish-black tongue in the mother and coldness over the fetal area, indicating that the fetus has died. Therefore, sitting and lying positions during labor must conform to the directions of the four seasons, and one must avoid contraindications related to the Five Elements; violating these may invite misfortune.
For treating fetal death in the uterus during the third or fifth month of pregnancy where the fetus cannot be expelled, use Danggui Kuizi San (Angelica and Okra Seed Powder).
Dafuzi (Arecae Semen), Chishao Yao (Radix Paeoniae Rubra), Yubai Pi (Cortex Ulmi), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis, stir-fried), Huashi Mo (Talcum Powder), Qumai (Herba Dianthi), Kuizi (Fructus Abelmoschi Esculenti, stir-fried), Fuling (Poria), Fencao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Uralensis), Ziqin (Radix Scutellariae Baicalensis) (each 3 liang for the first three, 1 liang for Danggui, 3 fen for Talcum, and 0.5 liang for the rest).
Grind the above into coarse powder. Take 4 qian per dose. Add 1 sheng of water, decoct until reduced to 0.7 sheng, remove dregs, and take warm at any time.
For treating retained dead fetus in the uterus when the mother is in critical condition and there is no other choice: Lixiao Fang (Instant Effect Formula).
Shuiyin (Mercurius), Guimo (Cinnamomi Cortex Pulvis) (0.5 liang and 1 qian respectively).
Take as a single dose, mixed with warm wine. Rice gruel can also be used.
Another prescription: Place a sharp axe head, heated red-hot, into wine. When the wine warms up, drink it, and the fetus will be expelled.
For treating fetal death in the uterus during pregnancy, characterized by the mother's flushed face and bluish tongue, use Xifen Wan (Tin Powder Pill) (from "Zhi Mi").
Xifen (Stannum), Shuiyin (Mercurius) (1 qian each).
Grind together until the mercury disappears. Form pills the size of pea seeds using jujube flesh. Swallow with Decoctum Dianthi.
For treating intrauterine fetal death.
Use 1 liang of high-quality Chen Sha (Cinnabar). Boil in water for several boils, grind extremely fine, and take 2 qian mixed with wine.
Another prescription: Take one egg yolk, mix with 1 he of ginger juice until uniform, and take in one dose. Eating Youcai Congee (Brassica campestris porridge) after delivery is beneficial.
Guixin (Cinnamomi Ramulus Cortex, powdered, 2 qian), Shexiang Dangmenzi (Moschus) (one piece).
Grind together, mix with warm wine, and take. The fetus will be expelled shortly, as if pushed out by hand. Compared to using mercury-based medicines, this does not damage blood and qi. He Shi's formula omits Moschus; instead, use 2 qian of Cinnamon Twig Powder. During intense pain contractions, take mixed with warm urine from an uncircumcised boy. Named Guanyin Jiusheng San (Avalokitesvara Life-Saving Powder). It also treats difficult labor, transverse lie, and breech presentation.
