Women's leukorrhea belongs to the "Six Extremes" (six types of extreme deficiency and exhaustion). A floating pulse indicates intestinal murmurs and abdominal fullness; a tight pulse indicates abdominal pain; a rapid pulse indicates vaginal itching; if accompanied by pain, sores will develop.
A wiry pulse indicates pulling pain in the vaginal orifice. Leukorrhea with a floating pulse, accompanied by aversion to cold and dripping blood loss, is difficult to treat.
White discharge from women that is not very thick is called "Bai Yin" (White Turbidity), which is the same as "Bai Zhuo" (White Turbidity) in men. It is caused by the hyperactivity of Ministerial Fire, similar to the disturbance of Dragon and Thunder fire, causing the essence to fail to clarify.
This condition belongs to the Foot Shaoyin Kidney Meridian and Foot Taiyang Bladder Meridian. Treatment should focus on clearing and tonifying. If the discharge is mixed with red and white and is thick and sticky, it is called "Dai Xia" (Leukorrhea). This condition belongs to the Hand Jueyin Pericardium Meridian and Hand Shaoyang Sanjiao Meridian, similar to spontaneous seminal emission in men. In severe cases, it may resemble gravel strangury. Its origin lies in the Pericardium, connects to the spine, links to the Dai Mai (Girdle Vessel), communicates with the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel), descends to Yongquan (KI 1), and ascends to Niwan Palace. Wang Shuhe stated: "Prolonged metrorrhagia leads to leukorrhea and dripping blood loss; over time, the bone marrow becomes depleted." His words are most earnest. Treatment is suitable for using substances of flesh and blood to nourish the root. This is a theory that explores the source and root, an unchanging method for generations. People at the time were mostly stuck in conventional routines, treating it as damp-phlegm, and used drugs like Oyster Shell (Muli), Dragon Bone (Longgu), Sanguisorba Root (Diyu), and Gelatin and Moutan Decoction (Jiao Ai Tang) to astringe, combined with Four Substance Decoction (Sì Wù Tāng), and supplemented with lifting methods. Little did they know that this was due to damage to the root, leading to the downward flow of corrupt matter. Those obstructive and stagnant substances would only increase stagnation; lifting incorrect qi would only increase depression. Alas! Perhaps this is not the fault of the physician, but rather the lack of wisdom in those seeking treatment.
Whenever encountering this disease, one must use Liu Long Gu Ben Wan (Six Dragons Root-Securing Pill) and Shi Liu Wei Bao Yuan Tang (Sixteen-Ingredient Essence-Preserving Decoction) as the main formulas.
Shi Liu Wei Bao Yuan Tang (Sixteen-Ingredient Essence-Preserving Decoction)
Astragali Radix (Huangqi, 1 qian)
Dendrobii Caulis (Shihu, 7 fen)
Morinda Officinalis Root Bark (Bajitian Rou, 2 qian)
Poria (Baifuling, 1 qian)
Cimicifugae Rhizoma (Shengma, 7 fen)
Dimocarpus Longan Aril (Yuanyan Rou, 3 qian)
Dipsaci Radix (Xuduan, remove roots and soil, 3 qian)
Ginseng Radix (Renshen, 2 qian)
Dioscoreae Rhizoma (Shanyao, 1 qian)
Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Chuan Du Huo, 1 qian)
Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui Shen, 2 qian)
Nelumbinis Plumula (Lian Rui, 1 qian)
Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai, wine-fried, 8 fen)
Raw Licorice Root (Sheng Gancao, 3 fen)
Eucommiae Cortex (Duzhong, soaked in cumin salt vinegar decoction and fried, 1.5 qian)
Drynariae Rhizoma (Gusuibu, first roasted on straw fire to remove hairs, wiped clean with coarse cloth, 2 qian)
The above ingredients are coarsely crushed for one dose. Decoct in water. Take warm on an empty stomach. For tidal fever, add Bupleuri Radix (Chaihu, 8 fen) and Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin, wine-fried, 1 qian). For severe leukorrhea, menstruation will necessarily be scant. If there is accumulation followed by abnormal return of blood, purple in color, starting and stopping abruptly, dripping continuously without clearing, add Schizonepetae Spica (Jingjie, 1 qian), Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian, wine-fried, 7 fen), and Sanguisorbae Radix (Diyu, 8 fen). For five-palm heat, irritability, and dry mouth and tongue, add Anemarrhenae Rhizoma (Zhimu, 1 qian), Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong, 1 qian), and Lycii Cortex (Digupi, 8 fen). For dry and constipated stool, it is due to blood deficiency and dryness-fire in the Yangming. Use Si Wu Tang (Four Substance Decoction) plus Semen Cannabis (Maren) and Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang) in equal parts, ground into a paste. Take hot at midnight. For chronic leukorrhea that cannot stop and does not respond to the previous medicine, Liu Long Gu Ben Wan (Six Dragons Root-Securing Pill) is highly effective.
Discussion: This medicine can generate blood and secure the true essence, tonify the heart and benefit the kidneys. When leukorrhea stops, menstrual flow will naturally regulate; when menstruation is regular, pregnancy can occur. When men and women have sufficient primordial qi, children will be few in number, free from disease, and long-lived. This formula is not only effective for red and white leukorrhea but also for post-abortal deficiency, deficiency from metrorrhagia, five exhaustions and seven emotions, consumptive diseases, all deficiency syndromes, and for those seeking conception or various female deficiencies, showing special efficacy.

The above fourteen ingredients are mixed with three bowls of water, two zhong of child's urine, and one zhong of good wine, soaked for one day, then dried. Soak again and dry again.
Grind the above ingredients into fine powder. Mix with Banlong Jiao (one portion) to make pills the size of mulberry seeds. Take 100 pills each time on an empty stomach, delivered with light salt water.
Banlong Jiao (Formula seen in Tonification section) Many people find it difficult to conceive; commonly using refined honey to make pills and taking them is also effective.
Another prescription: Treats irregular menstruation, cold pain in the abdomen, red and white leukorrhea, uterine deficiency-cold, and infertility for a long time. First, take Wu Ji San (Five Accumulations Powder), add Cyperi Rhizoma (Xiangfu), Evodiae Fructus (Wuzhuyu), and Foeniculum Vulgare Fruit (Xiaohui), add a piece of rice sugar, decoct and take. Reduce Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang). Afterwards, take this pill.
