Li Chuang, also known as Yangmei Chuang (Syphilis/Chancre), is named so due to its resemblance to a bayberry. When the Qi (vital energy) is affected, the lesions are firm and protruding; when the Blood is affected, the lesions are flat, spread out, and ulcerated. Due to their resemblance to fruits, they are colloquially called Guozi Chuang (Fruit Chancre). In the North, it is also called Tianpao Chuang (Heaven Blister Chancre). Although the names differ, the origin is the same, but treatments must be distinguished. Cases arising from internal causes are severe, while those transmitted are mild.
Internal cases arise necessarily from excessive sexual desire, causing fire in the yin region, combined with indulgent eating and drinking, leading to heat in the Sanjiao (Triple Burner), exhaustion of essence, coagulation of blood, and stagnation in the meridians. Folklore claims these are caused by consuming toxic foods such as sow meat, dog meat, mutton, chicken, or carp, believing that expelling the toxin cures the disease. This is akin to adding oil to fire.
Others, fearing the visibility of the sores and seeking quick effects, overuse Baidu San (Detoxification Powder), damaging the Five Zang organs and Stomach Qi, causing the toxin to sink deeper. Using medicinal threads to moxa the umbilicus prevents the toxin from emerging or resolving, leading to chronic ulcers. Subsequently, the skin on the palms and soles becomes dry like Baie Zhangfeng (White Goose Palm Wind), followed by bone and joint pain, urticaria, and other malignant symptoms, all resulting from inadequate treatment.
For this condition, administer Tuoli Jiedu Tang (Support Interior and Detoxify Decoction) internally, and frequently wash externally with Qianli Guangming Tang (Thousand-Mile Brightness Decoction), which is highly effective.

Jichangcao is also known as Qianli Guangming Cao, Jiuliming, or Tengkumai. Its leaves are pointed and forked, with white flowers, found everywhere.
