虚损之极。以八物汤加龙骨、熟附子等分。又加真茜草五钱。水煎服。连进二剂。其血遂止
又根据前方去茜草、龙骨。调理十数剂而痊。
一治鼻中流血。用小儿胎发烧灰吹之。其血立止。
一女子因翻身望后一跌。鼻血长流。止后。一有所感。其血即流。诸医不效。
一方用白面和水。包大附子一个在内。火煨熟。去附子。用面烧存性为末。每二钱。白
水调服。永不复发。
八物汤（方见补益）
凡是因为饮酒和房事过度，或者体力劳动过度，或者在科举考试中用心劳神，内心思虑极深，导致心肺脉络破裂，气血妄行，血液像泉水一样涌出，从口鼻同时流出，如果不及时抢救就会死亡。（黄滨江的方子）
将上述药物研成细末。每次服用二钱，加入飞罗面二钱，用刚打来的冷水调和成稀糊状服用。
另一个方子：用锅底墨研成细末三钱，用米汤调服。连续服用三次。
有一人吐血不止，发热面红，胸膈胀满，手脚冰凉，烦躁不安。使用当归身（二钱）、川芎（一钱五分）、官桂（三钱）。
将上述药物切碎，用水煎服，立刻见效。
衄血，就是鼻子出血。阳热郁结，导致胃经受动，胃火猛烈，使得血液妄行，所以发生衄血。治疗以凉血、行血为主。如果左侧鼻孔流血，用线将右手中指根部紧紧扎住；右侧鼻孔流血，扎左手中指，血自然停止。如果两个鼻孔都流血，双手都要扎住。

一个治疗衄血的方法：不要让患者知道，用井水中浮起的第一层水突然猛泼在其面部，立刻止血。
一个治疗鼻衄长期不止，素来有热且突然发作的，各种药物无效的情况。用一张大纸，折叠八次或十次，在水中浸湿，贴在头顶正中，用热的熨斗熨烫，直到一层或两层纸变干，立刻止血。
一个治疗鼻衄长期不止的方法：用驴粪焙干，研成细末，与血余炭（烧灰的人发）等分，每次取少许吹入鼻中，立刻止血。
一个治疗鼻衄的方法：用萝卜的自然汁混合酒饮用即可止血。因为血随着气的运转而运行，气逆不顺，所以血液妄行。萝卜最能降气并消导积滞，服用一次即见效。
一个治疗衄血不止的方法：将头顶头发分开，用刚打来的井泉水一匙，滴在百会穴上，立刻止血。
一个治疗鼻衄不止的方法：用山栀子、白芷等分，烧至存性（烧焦但保留药性），研成细末，吹入鼻中，血就停止了。另一个方子：用大蒜去皮捣烂，如果左鼻出血，贴在左脚心；右鼻出血，贴在右脚心；如果两鼻出血，两脚心都贴上，血立刻停止，然后用温水洗脚心。
一个治疗鼻血不止的方法：用绿豆粉、细草研成细末，用凉水调服，立刻止血。
另一个方子：将人中白（口腔内齿龈上的白色垢腻物）放在新瓦上焙干，用温水调服。
又一个方子：人中白一钱，头发烧成的灰一钱，麝香一分，研成细末，吹入鼻中少许，立刻止血。
又一个方子：大蚯蚓十余条，捣烂后加入井花水调和稀薄。病情轻的，澄清后饮用；病情重的，连同渣汁一起调服，立刻痊愈，久不再复发。
有一人年近五十，素来体质虚弱怯弱，患衄血，长流五天五夜，各种药物无法止住。六脉洪数但无力，这是失血过多，虚损到了极点。使用八物汤加上龙骨、熟附子等分，又加入真茜草五钱，用水煎服。连续服用两剂，血就停止了。后来又根据前方去掉茜草、龙骨，调理十多剂而痊愈。
一个治疗鼻中流血的方法：用小儿胎发烧成的灰吹入鼻中，血立刻停止。
有一女子因为翻身向后跌倒，鼻血长流。止血后，一旦有所触动，血就会再次流出，各位医生治疗无效。
一个方子：用白面和清水，包裹一个大附子在内，用火煨熟，去掉附子，将面烧至存性研成细末。每次服用二钱，用白水调服，永不复发。
八物汤（方剂见补益章节）
For those who suffer from excessive indulgence in alcohol and sexual activity, or overexertion of physical labor, or mental strain from imperial examinations, with deep internal contemplation, leading to the rupture of the meridians of the Heart and Lung, causing Qi and Blood to flow recklessly. Blood gushes forth like a spring, flowing from both the mouth and nose. If not rescued promptly, death will ensue. (Prescription by Huang Binjiang)
Ce Bai Ye (Biota Top's Leaf, steamed and dried)
Ren Shen (Ginseng Root, rhizome removed, equal parts with Ce Bai Ye)
Grind the above into a fine powder. Take two qian per dose. Add two qian of Fei Luo Mian (fine wheat flour). Mix with fresh well water to form a thin paste and ingest.
Another prescription: Use Fu Di Mo (Soot from the bottom of a cooking pot), grind into powder, three qian. Take with Mi Yin Tang (Rice Decoction). Administer continuously for three doses.
Another prescription: Use only Ce Bai Ye (Biota Top's Leaf), dry in shade, decoct in water, and drink as tea.
A patient suffered from incessant hematemesis (vomiting blood), fever, red face, distension and fullness in the chest and diaphragm, cold extremities, and restlessness. Use Dang Gui Shen (Angelica Sinensis Root Body, two qian), Chuan Xiong (Ligusticum Rhizome, one qian five fen), Guan Gui (Cinnamon Twig, three qian).
Cut the above ingredients, decoct in water, and take orally. Immediate effect.
Nu Xue (Epistaxis) refers to bleeding from the nose. Yang-Heat stagnation causes disturbance in the Stomach Meridian. Fierce Stomach Fire leads to reckless movement of Blood, resulting in epistaxis. Treatment focuses primarily on Cooling Blood and promoting Blood circulation. If bleeding occurs from the left nostril, tightly tie the base of the right middle finger with thread; if from the right nostril, tie the left middle finger. The bleeding will stop naturally. If both nostrils bleed, tie both hands.
Sheng Di Huang Tang (Rehmannia Root Decoction) treats epistaxis.

Chuan Xiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma, one qian)
Ku Huang Qin (Scutellariae Radix, processed, one qian)
Jie Geng (Platycodonis Radix, one qian)
Zhi Zi (Gardeniae Fructus, one qian)
Pu Huang (Typhae Pollen, one qian)
E Jiao (Asini Corii Colla, stir-fried, one qian)
Ce Bai (Biota Tops' Folium, three qian)
Mu Dan Pi (Moutan Cortex, one qian)
Mao Gen (Imperatae Rhizoma, three qian)
Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, three fen)
Bai Shao (Paeoniae Radix Alba, one qian)
Cut the above ingredients as one dose, decoct in water, and take warm.
A secret prescription for treating epistaxis.
Ren Ru (Human Breast Milk)
Tong Bian (Child's Urine)
Hao Jiu (Good Wine)
Take equal parts of the above three substances. Place in a bowl, heat by double-boiling, and drink. Bleeding stops immediately.
A method for treating epistaxis: Do not let the patient know. Suddenly splash Jing Hua Shui (first-drawn well water) onto the patient's face. Bleeding stops immediately.
A method for treating persistent epistaxis caused by latent Heat that suddenly flares up, where other medicines are ineffective. Take a large sheet of paper, fold it eight or ten times. Wet it in water, place it on the top center of the head (Baihui area). Iron it with a hot iron until one or two layers of paper are dry. Bleeding stops immediately.
A method for treating long-standing epistaxis: Roast donkey dung until dry, grind into powder. Mix with equal parts of Xue Yu Tan (Carbonized Human Hair). Blow a small amount into the nose. Bleeding stops immediately.
A method for treating epistaxis: Drink the natural juice of Luobo (Radish) mixed with wine. This works because Blood follows the movement of Qi; when Qi rebels and does not flow smoothly, Blood moves recklessly. Luobo is best at descending Qi and resolving stagnation. One dose yields immediate results.
A method for stopping epistaxis: Part the hair on the vertex. Drip one spoonful of fresh well water onto the Baihui acupoint (GV20). Bleeding stops immediately.
A method for stopping epistaxis: Use Shan Zhi Zi (Gardeniae Fructus) and Bai Zhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix) in equal parts. Char them to retain their properties (Cun Xing), grind into fine powder, and blow into the nose. Bleeding stops. Another prescription: Peel Da Suan (Allii Sativi Bulbus), mash into a paste. If the left nostril bleeds, apply to the sole of the left foot; if the right, to the sole of the right foot; if both, apply to both soles. Bleeding stops immediately. Wash the soles with warm water afterwards.
A method for stopping nasal bleeding: Use Lv Dou Fen (Vigna Radiata Powder) and Xi Cao (Fine Grass), grind into powder, mix with cool water, and ingest. Bleeding stops immediately.
Another prescription: Place Ren Zhong Bai (Calculus Dentis) on a new tile, roast until dry, mix with warm water, and ingest.
Yet another prescription: Ren Zhong Bai (one qian), Carbonized Human Hair (one qian), She Xiang (Moschus, one fen). Grind into fine powder, blow a small amount into the nose. Bleeding stops immediately.
Another prescription: Crush more than ten large earthworms, mix with Jing Hua Shui (well water) to make a thin slurry. For mild cases, drink the clarified liquid; for severe cases, drink the mixture including dregs. Recovery is immediate, and recurrence is prevented.
A patient near fifty years old, constitutionally weak, suffered from epistaxis flowing continuously for five days and nights. Various medicines failed to stop it. The six pulses were surging and rapid but forceless. This indicates extreme deficiency due to excessive blood loss. Use Ba Wu Tang (Eight Substance Decoction) plus Long Gu (Fossilized Bones) and Shu Fu Zi (Prepared Aconite Lateralis Radix) in equal parts. Add Zhen Qian Cao (Rubiae Cordifoliae Radix, five qian). Decoct in water and take. After two doses, bleeding stopped. Subsequently, remove Qian Cao and Long Gu from the previous formula, and administer more than ten doses for regulation until recovery.
A method for treating nasal bleeding: Burn Tai Er (Fetal Membrane/Afterbirth of an infant) to ash, blow into the nose. Bleeding stops immediately.
A young woman fell backward while turning over, causing prolonged nasal bleeding. After it stopped, any minor trigger caused bleeding to resume. Physicians were ineffective.
One prescription: Wrap one Da Fu Zi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata) in Bai Mian (Wheat Flour) mixed with water. Roast over fire until cooked. Remove the Aconite. Char the flour until it retains its properties, grind into powder. Take two qian per dose, mixed with plain water. Recurrence will never happen again.
