遗精和白浊，应当在尺脉处验证。脉象呈现芤、动、紧的特征，是这两种病症的确切指征。
梦遗的症状有三种情况：年少体壮，长期独身，强行克制情欲，自己并不知晓。这种泄精就像瓶子满了而溢出一样。
因此，
如果没有疾病，不吃药也可以。或者是心气虚弱，不能主宰心神。这种泄精就像瓶子侧放而流出一样。很多人都有这种情况，病情还较轻，就用平和的药剂治疗。真元长久虚弱，心神不能摄持意念，肾气不能固摄精气。这种泄精就像空瓶子漏液一样。这是重病，可以断定。必须用大补的汤剂或丸剂治疗，不可稍有迟缓。
论述因心中所慕而引发梦遗。这是因为君火已经发动，相火随之而动。治疗重点在心。
黄连清心汤
黄连（六分）生地（三钱）当归（三钱）人参（二钱）远志（一钱）白茯苓（三钱，去皮和木质部）酸枣仁（炒一钱五分）石莲肉（一钱）甘草（八分）
以上药物切碎。用水煎煮，加入去心的麦门冬，效果更佳。
鲁藩泰兴王的验方，治疗遗精。
人参（二钱）石莲肉（一钱）莲须（二钱）芡实（三钱）麦冬（二钱）白茯苓（三钱）
远志（一钱）甘草（八分）
以上药物切碎。用水煎煮，温服。另一配方，加酸枣一钱，柏子仁二钱，石菖蒲一钱，黄柏用酒炒二钱。
论述心神宁静则精气固摄，君火和相火平息则小便清澈。这种病症，起初是因为心动摇，导致精气动摇所致。龙雷之火妄动，水液浑浊而不清澈，尾闾关禁固不住，即精关松弛而不坚固。治疗应当补益心神、宁心安神，滋阴固本。
益智固真汤
黄芪（蜜炒一钱五分）人参（三钱）白术（酒炒去芦头一钱）白芍（酒炒一钱）白茯神（去皮和木质部一钱）五味子（十二粒，夏季用十六粒）当归身（酒炒一钱）麦冬（去心一钱）巴戟肉（三钱）益智仁（去壳一钱）酸枣仁（炒一钱）山药（一钱）泽泻（一钱）升麻（五分）黄连（酒炒一钱五分）黄芩（一钱）黄柏（酒炒七分）知母（一钱）莲花蕊（一钱）生甘草梢（一钱五分）
以上药物切碎，分为两剂。用水煎煮，空腹服用。
论述心神不安，肾虚，经常自发性泄精等症状。
宁神固精丸
黄柏（酒炒）知母（酒炒各一两）牡蛎（煅）龙骨（煅）芡实莲蕊白茯苓（去皮）远志（去心）山茱萸肉（各三两）
以上药物研成细末，用煮山药糊制作成丸，如梧桐子大小。用朱砂做外衣。每次服用五十丸，米汤送下。
论述夜间梦遗精，或者滑精，虚损到了极点，长时间不能停止的情况。
滋补丸

以上药物研成细末，用山药打糊制作成丸，如梧桐子大小。每次服用一百丸，空腹，酒送下。
论述男子发热遗精，或者小便失禁，都属于脾肾亏损。补中益气汤（方剂见内伤章节）合六味丸。（方剂见补益章节）将两方合并做成汤剂，用水煎服。
论述嗜欲无度，梦遗精滑，日夜长流，各种方法都无效，病势垂危的情况。

用一个公猪肚，加入带心皮的莲肉一斤，放入砂锅内。用水煮烂，去掉猪肚，将莲肉晒干，同前面的药物一起研成细末，炼蜜制作成丸，如梧桐子大小。每次服用一百丸，空腹，用莲须煎汤送下，效果神奇。
一个男子肾脏虚惫，遗精盗汗，常常梦中性交。用猪腰子一枚，用刀切开去掉筋膜，放入大附子末一钱，用湿纸包裹煨熟。空腹服用，随即饮酒一二杯，多喝也很好。服用三五次见效。
论述保养元气，生心血，健脾胃，滋肾水，止盗汗，除遗精，降相火，壮元阳。

论述神，是精气的居所。神用来驾驭气，气用来摄持精。所以人醒着时神栖息于心，睡觉时神栖息于肾。心和肾，是神的宅舍。白天所做的行为，夜晚做的梦。男子梦中性交而泄精，女子梦中性交而出精。这都是不知道清心寡欲的道理。这种人，神不守舍，顺从欲望而行动。白天有所感触，夜晚梦境随之而来。心神不能摄持意念，肾气不能摄持精气，时间久了不停止，最终成为虚损。或者有神气萎靡，念头思虑猖狂，风邪乘其虚弱，厉气干扰正气，从而梦见与人交合。这又是难以形容的疾病。用镇神锁精丹。
人参白茯苓远志（甘草水煮去心）柏子仁酸枣仁（炒各一两）石菖蒲（去毛一两）白龙骨（煅）牡蛎（煅各一两半）辰砂（水飞五钱，留一钱做外衣）
以上共同研成细末，炼蜜制作成丸，如弹子大小。每次服用一丸，枣汤送下。
论述精滑久治不愈，牡蛎在砂锅内煅烧，醋淬七次，研成细末，醋糊制作成丸，如梧桐子大小。每次服用五十丸，空腹，盐汤送下。
治疗心虚导致的梦遗，只用白茯苓去皮，一味药研成细末，空腹，米饮调服。
治疗遗精虚漏，小便余滴不尽，以及夜间多尿的情况。用益智仁十四个，用水煎煮，加入少许盐一同服用。
梦遗不止，脉象弦而大。
石莲肉（六两）甘草（二两）
以上研成细末。每次服用二钱，饭前，灯心草汤送下。

Mu Zei (Equiseti Herba), Xiao Chuan Xiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Hort.) [each 5 fen]. Fen Ge (Puerariae Radix) [1 liang] resides in the middle. She Tui (Bombyx Batryticatus) [1.5 cun, with head facing upward] is hung on the wall to manifest its efficacy.
The above herbs are stir-fried with wine. Take on an empty stomach.
Treatment for red and white turbidity. Passed down by Chen Yunyue.
Mu Tong (Akebiae Caulis, remove nodes) [7 qian], Hua Shi (Talcum) [3 qian], Fen Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Preparata) [4 qian], Huang Jing Zi (Viticis Fructus) [1 spoon].
The above herbs are chopped. Decoct in water. Take on an empty stomach; symptoms will resolve immediately.
Spermatorrhea and white turbidity should be verified at the Chi pulse position. The pulse characteristics of Kou (Hollow), Dong (Fluttering), and Jin (Tight) are definitive indicators of these two conditions.
There are three manifestations of nocturnal emission: In young men who are vigorous but have been celibate for a long time, forcibly suppressing sexual desire without realizing it. This type of emission is like a bottle overflowing when full.
Therefore,
If there is no disease, medication is not necessary. Or if Heart Qi is deficient and cannot govern the mind, this emission is like liquid flowing out from a tilted bottle. Many people have this condition, which is relatively mild; treat it with harmonizing formulas. If True Yuan (Original Qi) has been deficient for a long time, the Heart cannot control thoughts, and the Kidney cannot secure essence. This emission is like a leaking empty bottle. This indicates a severe illness that can be determined. It must be treated with major tonifying decoctions or pills; do not delay even slightly.
Discussion on nocturnal emission caused by mental longing. This occurs because the Ministerial Fire (Xiang Huo) follows after the Sovereign Fire (Jun Huo) is activated. Treatment focuses on the Heart.
Huanglian Qingxin Tang (Coptis Decoction to Clear the Heart)
Huang Lian (Coptidis Rhizoma) [6 fen], Sheng Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix) [3 qian], Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) [3 qian], Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix) [2 qian], Yuan Zhi (Polygalae Radix) [1 qian], Bai Fu Ling (Poria) [3 qian, remove peel and wood], Suan Zao Ren (Ziziphi Spinosae Semen) [stir-fried, 1.5 qian], Shi Lian Rou (Nelumbinis Plumula) [1 qian], Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) [8 fen].
The above herbs are chopped. Decoct in water. Add Mai Men Dong (Ophiopogonis Radix, remove heart) for better effect.

The above herbs are chopped. Decoct in water. Take warm. Another prescription adds Suan Zao (Ziziphus Jujuba Mill. var. Spinosa Seed) [1 qian], Bai Zi Ren (Platycladi Semen) [2 qian], Shi Chang Pu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma) [1 qian], Huang Bo (Phellodendri Cortex) [stir-fried with wine, 2 qian].
Discussion: When the mind is tranquil, essence is secured; when Sovereign and Ministerial fires subside, urine becomes clear. This condition initially arises because the mind is disturbed, causing essence to be shaken. Long Lei Fire (Dragon Thunder Fire) moves chaotically, making the water turbid and unclear. The Wei Lu Guan (Tailgate Gate) fails to restrain, meaning the Jing Guan (Essence Gate) is loose and insecure. Treatment should tonify the Heart, calm the Spirit, nourish Yin, and consolidate the root.

Ningshen Gujing Wan (Spirit-Calming Essence-Consolidating Pill)
Huang Bo (Phellodendri Cortex) [wine-fried], Zhi Mu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma) [wine-fried, each 1 liang], Mu Li (Ostreae Concha) [calcined], Long Gu (Fossilia Ossis Mastodi) [calcined], Qian Shi (Euryales Semen), Lian Rui (Nelumbinis Stamen), Bai Fu Ling (Poria) [peel removed], Yuan Zhi (Polygalae Radix) [heart removed], Shan Zhu Yu (Corni Fructus) [each 3 liang].
Grind into fine powder. Make pills using cooked Shan Yao paste, size of Sophora japonica seeds. Coat with Cinnabar. Take 50 pills per dose, washed down with rice soup.

Discussion on male fever with spermatorrhea or urinary incontinence, all belonging to Spleen and Kidney deficiency. Combine Buzhong Yiqi Tang (Decoction to Boost the Middle and Augment the Qi) [see Internal Injury chapter] with Liuwei Wan (Six-Ingredient Pill) [see Tonification Chapter]. Prepare both together as a decoction, decoct in water, and take orally.
Discussion on excessive lust, nocturnal emission and slippery semen, continuous flow day and night, unresponsive to hundreds of methods, with the patient near death.

Lian Xu (Nelumbinis Stamen) [yellow color is best, 1 jin], Shi Lian Rou (Nelumbinis Plumula) [clean flesh, 1 jin], Qian Shi (Euryales Semen) [clean flesh, 12 liang], Mai Dong (Ophiopogonis Radix, remove heart) [4 liang].
Take one male pig stomach. Add 1 jin of Lotus seed with heart and skin. Place in a clay pot. Boil in water until soft. Remove the stomach. Dry the lotus seeds. Grind together with the previous herbs into fine powder. Make pills with refined honey, size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 100 pills per dose on an empty stomach, washed down with Lian Xu decoction. Miraculous effect.
A man with Kidney organ deficiency and exhaustion, suffering from spermatorrhea and night sweats, often experiencing dream intercourse. Use one pig kidney. Cut open with a knife, remove fascia. Insert 1 qian of powdered Da Fu Zi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata). Wrap in wet paper and roast until cooked. Take on an empty stomach, followed by drinking one or two cups of wine. More is also very good. Effective after 3-5 doses.
Discussion on nurturing Original Qi, generating Heart Blood, strengthening Spleen and Stomach, nourishing Kidney Water, stopping night sweats, eliminating spermatorrhea, descending Ministerial Fire, and strengthening Yuan Yang.

Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix) [1 liang], Qian Shi (Euryales Semen) [shelled, 1 liang], Suan Zao Ren (Ziziphi Spinosae Semen) [stir-fried, 2 liang], Tian Dong (Asparagi Radix) [remove heart, 2 liang], Yuan Zhi (Polygalae Radix) [soaked in Licorice water, remove heart, 1 liang], Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) [wine-rinsed, 1 liang], Lian Rui (Nelumbinis Stamen) [1 liang], Bai Zi Ren (Platycladi Semen) [remove oil, stir-fried, 1 liang], Shi Chang Pu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma) [remove hairs, 6 qian], Shu Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix Preparata) [wine-steamed, 2 liang], Wu Wei Zi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus) [1 liang], Mai Dong (Ophiopogonis Radix, remove heart) [2 liang], Zhi Mu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma) [remove hairs, wine-fried, 2 liang], Bai Shao (Paeoniae Radix Alba) [salt-wine fried, 1.5 liang], Bai Fu Shen (Poria with Hostwood) [remove peel and wood, 1 liang], Lian Rou (Nelumbinis Semen) [remove heart and skin, 1 liang], Mu Li (Ostreae Concha) [calcined, 1 liang], Huai Shan Yao (Dioscoreae Rhizoma) [fried, 3 liang], Sheng Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix) [wine-rinsed, 2 liang], Huang Bo (Phellodendri Cortex) [remove bark, salt-water fried, 2 liang].
Grind into fine powder. Make pills with refined honey, size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 70 pills per dose on an empty stomach, washed down with salt water.
Discussion: The Spirit (Shen) is the chamber of Essence and Qi. The Spirit commands Qi, and Qi secures Essence. Thus, when awake, the Spirit resides in the Heart; when sleeping, the Spirit resides in the Kidney. The Heart and Kidney are the dwellings of the Spirit. Actions during the day correspond to dreams at night. Men emit essence during dream intercourse; women release essence during dream intercourse. All these result from ignorance of the way of clearing the mind and reducing desires. Such people have Spirits that do not guard their dwelling, moving according to desires. Sensations during the day lead to corresponding dreams at night. The Heart cannot control thoughts, and the Kidney cannot secure essence. Over time without cessation, this leads to deficiency damage. There may be listless Spirit and Qi, wild thoughts and worries. Wind pathogens take advantage of the deficiency, and malignant Qi interferes with righteous Qi, leading to dreams of intercourse with others. This is another difficult-to-describe illness. Use Zhenshen Suojing Dan (Spirit-Calming Essence-Locking Elixir).
Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix), Bai Fu Ling (Poria), Yuan Zhi (Polygalae Radix) [boiled in Licorice water, remove heart], Bai Zi Ren (Platycladi Semen), Suan Zao Ren (Ziziphi Spinosae Semen) [stir-fried, each 1 liang], Shi Chang Pu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma) [remove hairs, 1 liang], Bai Long Gu (Fossilia Ossis Mastodi) [calcined], Mu Li (Ostreae Concha) [calcined, each 1.5 liang], Chen Sha (Cinnabaris) [water-ground, 5 qian, reserve 1 qian for coating].
Grind all together into powder. Make pills with refined honey, size of a bullet. Take one pill per dose, washed down with Jujube soup.
Discussion on chronic slippery emission unresponsive to treatment. Calcine Mu Li (Ostreae Concha) in a clay pot, quench in vinegar seven times. Grind into powder. Make pills with vinegar paste, size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take 50 pills per dose on an empty stomach, washed down with salt water.
Treatment for Heart deficiency causing dream emission. Use only Bai Fu Ling (Poria) [peel removed], grind into powder. Take on an empty stomach, mixed with rice drink.
Treatment for spermatorrhea due to deficiency leakage, residual urine drops, and frequent urination at night. Use 14 Yi Zhi Ren (Alpiniae Oxyphyllae Fructus). Decoct in water. Take with a little salt.
Nocturnal emission continues, pulse is string-like and large.

Grind into powder. Take 2 qian per dose before meals, washed down with Centella asiatica soup.
One person emits essence upon exertion, and teeth hurt immediately. Use Buzhong Yiqi Tang added with Ban Xia (Pinelliae Rhizoma), Fu Ling (Poria), and Shao Yao (Paeoniae Radix), combined with Liuwei Dihuang Wan. Gradually recovered. Further cured with Shiquan Dabu Tang added with Mai Men Dong (Ophiopogonis Radix) and Wu Wei Zi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus).
One person had white turbidity and dream emission, dry mouth with thirst, constipation, and severe afternoon fever. Use Buzhong Yiqi Tang added with Shao Yao (Paeoniae Radix) and Xuan Shen (Scrophulariae Radix), combined with Jiawei Bawei Wan. Recovered.
One person had pain in the urethra, discharge of white fluid, urinary obstruction, and occasional itching. Use Xiaochaihu Tang added with Shan Zhi Zi (Gardeniae Fructus), Ze Xie (Alismatis Rhizoma), Chao Lian Zi (Nelumbinis Semen stir-fried), Mu Tong (Akebiae Caulis), Long Dan Cao (Gentianae Radix), and Fu Ling (Poria). Two doses led to immediate recovery. Further cured with Liuwei Dihuang Wan.
One person had blood in stool, slippery emission, and fever. One man had hematuria and fever. One man had fever with spermatorrhea or urinary incontinence. All belong to Kidney Meridian deficiency. Use Dihuang Wan and Yiqi Tang to nourish the source of transformation. All recovered.
One person had afternoon fever, emitted essence upon exertion, and teeth hurt immediately. This is Spleen and Kidney deficiency heat. First use Yiqi Tang and Liuwei Wan. Further cured with Shiquan Dabu Tang.
One person had dream emission and slippery semen due to Qi and Blood deficiency. Use Shiquan Dabu Tang added with Shan Zhu Yu (Corni Fructus), Shan Yao (Dioscoreae Rhizoma), Wu Wei Zi (Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus), and Mai Dong (Ophiopogonis Radix).
