*Chao Shi Bing Yuan* (Source of Diseases by Chao Yuanfang) on Pediatric Nasal Conditions: The Lung governs Qi and connects to the nose. Qi belongs to Yang, and the Qi of all Yang meridians ascends to nourish the head and face. If Qi deficiency allows Wind-Cold to invade, and Wind-Cold lodges in the brain, then the Qi becomes disharmonious. Cold Qi stagnates, combats with body fluids, leading to the accumulation of purulent rhinorrhea, resulting in the inability to smell fragrances or odors; this is called *Qiu* (nasal obstruction with discharge).
