肿在下者因湿起，急宜利水可安然，外法贴脐如神妙，内服沉香琥珀丸。
【注】下体肿者，腰脐至两足皆肿也。病因脾经湿热所成，急用利水之法，经所谓洁
净府是也。外用贴脐法，内服沉香琥珀丸。
贴脐法
巴豆（去油四钱） 水银粉（二钱） 硫黄（一钱）
共研匀成饼，先用新棉一片，包药布脐上，外用帛缚时许，自然泻下恶水，待下三、五次，去药以粥补住。
沉香琥珀丸
苦葶苈子（一两五钱） 郁李仁（去皮一两五钱） 防己（七钱五分） 沉香（一两五钱） 陈
皮（去白，七钱五分） 琥珀（五钱） 杏仁（去皮尖，炒，五钱） 苏子（五钱） 赤苓（五钱） 泽泻（五钱）
共为细末，炼蜜为丸，如梧桐子大，以麝香为衣，每服一钱，量儿大小与之，用滚白水下。
通身皆肿属风湿，外散内利最相宜。峻攻则用疏凿饮，和剂茯苓导水医。水上攻肺喘不
卧，苏葶定喘最相宜。水停中州胀急满，舟车神 量攻之。
【注】通身肿者，头面手足皆肿也。得病之由，内停湿饮，外感风邪，风湿相搏，水
道不利，外攻肌表，因而作肿也。重者用疏凿饮峻攻之，轻者用茯苓导水汤和解之。若
水停上攻于肺，喘急不得卧者，以苏葶丸泻之；水停中州胀满者，以舟车神 丸攻之。

茯苓导水汤
紫苏 陈皮 白术（土炒） 木香 桑白皮（炒） 麦冬（去心） 赤茯苓 泽泻 木瓜 大腹
皮缩砂仁 槟榔
引用灯心，水煎服。

苏葶丸

皮木香 槟榔（各五钱） 轻粉（一钱）
上为细末，水丸如椒目大，小儿二丸、三丸，大儿五丸、七丸，量服之，滚白水送下。
下肢肿胀由湿邪引起，应当迅速采用利水的方法治疗，患者即可安然无恙。外治法可用贴脐之法，效果如神；内服方剂选用沉香琥珀丸。
【注】下半身肿胀，是指从腰部、肚脐到双脚全部肿胀。病因是由脾经湿热所致，必须紧急使用利水的方法，《内经》所说的“洁净府”就是指此法。外用贴脐法，内服沉香琥珀丸。
贴脐法
巴豆（去油四钱） 水银粉（二钱） 硫黄（一钱）
共同研磨均匀制成饼状，先用一片新棉布包裹药物敷在肚脐上，再用丝帛绑扎约一个时辰，自然排出恶臭的水液，待排泄三至五次后，去掉药物，用粥食来补养身体以固护正气。
沉香琥珀丸
苦葶苈子（一两五钱） 郁李仁（去皮一两五钱） 防己（七钱五分） 沉香（一两五钱） 陈皮（去白，七钱五分） 琥珀（五钱） 杏仁（去皮尖，炒，五钱） 苏子（五钱） 赤茯苓（五钱） 泽泻（五钱）
共同研成细末，用炼蜜制作成丸剂，大小如梧桐子，以麝香为衣，每次服用一钱，根据患儿年龄大小给予剂量，用滚开的白开水送服。
全身肿胀属于风湿所致，外散风邪、内利水湿最为适宜。病情严重者使用疏凿饮峻猛攻逐，病情较轻者使用茯苓导水汤调和治理。若水气上攻于肺导致气喘不能平卧，苏葶定喘丸最为适宜。若水湿停滞在中焦导致腹部胀满急迫，舟车神丸可攻逐之。
【注】全身肿胀，是指头面、手足全部肿胀。得病的原因，是体内停聚湿饮，外部感受风邪，风湿相互搏结，水道不通利，水气向外侵袭肌表，因而发生肿胀。重症用疏凿饮峻猛攻逐，轻症用茯苓导水汤和解治疗。如果水湿停滞并上攻于肺，出现气喘急促不能平卧的，用苏葶丸泻下；水湿停滞在中焦导致胀满的，用舟车神丸攻逐。

Swelling in the lower part arises from dampness; it is urgent to employ diuresis (promoting urination) to ensure a safe recovery. External therapy using navel application is as effective as divine intervention, while internally, Chenxiang Hupo Wan (Agarwood and Amber Pill) should be administered.
[Note] Swelling of the lower body refers to edema extending from the waist and umbilicus down to both feet. The etiology is caused by damp-heat in the Spleen meridian. It is imperative to urgently apply diuretic methods, which corresponds to the classic saying "purify the Yang-Bladder" (Jing Fu). Externally, use the navel application method; internally, administer Chenxiang Hupo Wan (Agarwood and Amber Pill).

Grind together uniformly into a cake. First, wrap the medicine in a piece of new cotton cloth and apply it to the umbilicus. Secure it externally with silk bandages for approximately one shichen (two hours). Evil water will naturally be discharged. After three to five bowel movements, remove the medicine and nourish the body with congee to consolidate the healthy qi.

Grind all into fine powder. Bind with refined honey to form pills the size of Sophora japonica seeds. Coat with Moschus (Shexiang). Each dose is 1 qian, adjusted according to the child's age and size. Take with boiling plain water.
Generalized edema belongs to wind-dampness; dispersing externally and draining internally is most appropriate. For severe cases, use Shuozao Yin (Draining and Scouring Decoction) for vigorous purgation; for mild cases, use Fuling Daoshui Tang (Poria Water-Guiding Decoction) for harmonizing treatment. If water qi attacks the Lung causing asthma and inability to lie flat, Sutong Dingchuan Wan (Perilla and Tingli Pill for Asthma) is most suitable. If water retention occurs in the Middle Jiao causing abdominal distension and urgency, Zhouche Shenwan (Boat and Cart Divine Pill) can be used for purgation.
[Note] Generalized edema refers to swelling of the head, face, hands, and feet. The cause of illness is internal retention of damp-fluids combined with external contraction of wind-pathogens. Wind and dampness interact, obstructing the water passages. Water qi attacks the muscle surface externally, resulting in edema. Severe cases are treated vigorously with Shuozao Yin (Draining and Scouring Decoction); mild cases are treated harmoniously with Fuling Daoshui Tang (Poria Water-Guiding Decoction). If water retention attacks the Lung upward, causing rapid asthma and inability to lie down, treat with Sutong Wan (Perilla and Tingli Pill) to purge; if water retention causes distension in the Middle Jiao, treat with Zhouche Shenwan (Boat and Cart Divine Pill) to attack and purge.
