《口议》先凉三焦，利惊去热，安神定志，平调脏腑，温化痰涎，然后与治惊痫
药服之。
比金丹
人参 白茯苓 远志（去心） 山药 辰砂 天麻 石菖蒲 川芎 甘草（炙。各一分） 天南星（炮，二钱，生
姜汁制） 麝香（一字）
上为细末，炼蜜为丸，皂子大。每服一粒，煎金银、薄荷汤化下。一方，有
琥珀（二钱） 青黛（一钱），无山药。
〔钱氏〕蛇黄丸 治惊痫，因震骇恐怖，叫号恍惚，是也。
蛇黄（真者三个，火 ，醋淬） 郁金（七分一处为末） 麝香（另入一匙）
上为末，饭丸，桐子大。每服十二丸，煎金银、磨刀水化下。
镇惊丸 治小儿一切惊痫。
茯神（去木） 铁粉 远志（去心，姜制焙） 紫石英（烧，醋淬，研） 人参（去芦）
琥珀 滑石 蛇黄（ ，醋淬） 南星（炮。各二钱半） 龙齿 熊胆（各半分） 轻粉（三分）
上为细末，炼蜜为丸，如梧桐子大，朱砂为衣。每服三五丸，煎金银汤磨化，
不拘时服。
虎睛丸 治小儿惊痫，邪气入心。
虎睛（细研） 远志（姜制焙，去心） 犀角（镑） 大黄（湿纸裹煨） 石菖蒲 麦门冬（去心。
各二钱半） 蜣螂（三枚，去足翅炒）
上为细末，粟米粉打糊为丸，如梧桐子大。每服五七丸，竹叶煎汤磨化，或金
银煎汤亦可，不拘时服。
七宝镇心丸 治小儿惊痫心热。
远志（去心，姜制焙） 雄黄 铁粉 琥珀（各二钱） 朱砂（一钱） 金银箔（四片） 麝香（少许）
上为细末，煮枣取肉为丸，如梧桐子大。每服三五丸，煎去心麦门冬汤化下，
不拘时服。
清神散 治小儿惊痫。
犀角 白藓皮 石菖蒲 远志（去心，姜制焙） 半夏（汤泡。各二钱半） 茯神（半两）
大黄（焙） 人参 甘草（炙。各一钱半）
上为末。每服半钱，煎去心麦门冬汤调，不拘时服。
《口议》指出，应先清利三焦（上、中、下三焦），以祛惊退热，安神定志，平调脏腑功能，温化痰涎，然后再服用治疗惊痫的药物。
比金丹：
人参、白茯苓、远志（去心）、山药、辰砂、天麻、石菖蒲、川芎、甘草（炙，各一分）、天南星（炮制，二钱，用生姜汁炮制）、麝香（一字）。
以上药物研为细末，用炼蜜制成丸剂，大小如皂荚子。每次服用一粒，用煎好的金银水、薄荷汤化开服用。另一配方中，加入琥珀（二钱）、青黛（一钱），去掉山药。
〔钱氏〕蛇黄丸：治疗惊痫，因受惊吓恐怖所致，表现为呼叫号哭、神志恍惚，即是此证。
蛇黄（真品三个，火煅后醋淬）、郁金（七分，一处研为细末）、麝香（另加一匙）。
以上研为细末，用饭糊制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子。每次服用十二丸，用煎好的金银水、磨刀水化开服用。
镇惊丸：治疗小儿各种惊痫。
茯神（去木心）、铁粉、远志（去心，姜制焙干）、紫石英（烧红后醋淬，研细）、人参（去芦头）、琥珀、滑石、蛇黄（火煅醋淬）、南星（炮制，各二钱半）、龙齿、熊胆（各半分）、轻粉（三分）。
以上研为细末，用炼蜜制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子，朱砂为衣。每次服用三五丸，用煎好的金银汤磨化服用，不拘时间。
虎睛丸：治疗小儿惊痫，邪气入心。
虎睛（细研）、远志（姜制焙干，去心）、犀角（镑片）、大黄（湿纸包裹煨制）、石菖蒲、麦门冬（去心，各二钱半）、蜣螂（三枚，去足翅炒制）。
以上研为细末，用粟米粉打糊制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子。每次服用五至七丸，用竹叶煎汤磨化服用，或用金银煎汤亦可，不拘时间。
七宝镇心丸：治疗小儿惊痫伴有心热。
远志（去心，姜制焙干）、雄黄、铁粉、琥珀（各二钱）、朱砂（一钱）、金银箔（四片）、麝香（少许）。
以上研为细末，煮枣取肉制成丸剂，大小如梧桐子。每次服用三五丸，用煎好的去心麦门冬汤化开服用，不拘时间。
清神散：治疗小儿惊痫。
犀角、白藓皮、石菖蒲、远志（去心，姜制焙干）、半夏（汤泡，各二钱半）、茯神（半两）、大黄（焙干）、人参、甘草（炙，各一钱半）。
以上研为细末。每次服用半钱，用煎好的去心麦门冬汤调服，不拘时间。
The "Oral Discussion" states that one should first clear and benefit the Sanjiao (Triple Burner), dispel fright and remove heat, calm the spirit and stabilize the will, harmonize the Zang-Fu organs, and warm-transform phlegm-fluids. Only then should one administer medicines for treating Jing-Xian (Fright Epilepsy).
Bi Jin Dan (Comparison Golden Pill):
Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Baifuling (Poria), Yuanzhi (Polygalae Radix) [decored], Shanyao (Dioscoreae Rhizoma), Chensha (Cinnabar), Tianma (Gastrodiae Rhizoma), Shichangpu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) [roasted, each 1 fen], Tiannanxing (Arisaematis Rhizoma) [processed, 2 qian, prepared with fresh ginger juice], Shexiang (Moschus) [1 zi].
Grind the above into a fine powder, mix with refined honey to make pills, size of a soap bean. Take one pill per dose, dissolve in decoction of gold/silver and Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba), take orally. Another prescription adds Hupo (Electrum) [2 qian] and Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis) [1 qian], without Shanyao.
Qian's Shehuang Wan (Snake Yellow Pill): Treats Jing-Xian caused by shock and terror, manifesting as crying out, wailing, and mental confusion.
Shehuang (Real Snake Gallstone) [3 genuine ones, calcined and quenched in vinegar], Yujin (Curcumae Radix) [0.7 fen, ground together into powder], Shexiang (Moschus) [add separately, 1 spoonful].
Grind the above into powder, mix with rice paste to make pills, size of Sophora seeds. Take 12 pills per dose, dissolve in decoction of gold/silver or water used for grinding knives, take orally.
Zhenjing Wan (Calming Fright Pill): Treats all types of Jing-Xian in children.
Fushen (Poria with Hostwood), Tie Fen (Iron Powder), Yuanzhi (Polygalae Radix) [decored, ginger-processed and baked], Zhiyingshi (Fluorite) [calcined, quenched in vinegar, ground], Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) [de-stalked], Hupo (Electrum), Huashi (Talcum), Shehuang (Snake Gallstone) [calcined, quenched in vinegar], Nanxing (Arisaematis Rhizoma) [processed, each 2.5 qian], Longchi (Draconis Os), Xiongdan (Ursi Bile) [each 0.5 fen], Qingfen (Calomelas) [3 fen].
Grind the above into a fine powder, mix with refined honey to make pills, size of Sophora seeds, coated with Zhusha (Cinnabar). Take 3-5 pills per dose, dissolve in decoction of gold/silver, take at any time.
Huqing Wan (Tiger Eye Pill): Treats Jing-Xian in children where pathogenic qi enters the Heart.
Huqing (Tiger Eye) [finely ground], Yuanzhi (Polygalae Radix) [ginger-processed, baked, decored], Xijiao (Rhino Horn) [shaved], Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) [wrapped in wet paper and roasted], Shichangpu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma), Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix) [decored, each 2.5 qian], Qianglang (Scarabaeus) [3 specimens, legs and wings removed, fried].
Grind the above into powder, use millet flour paste to make pills, size of Sophora seeds. Take 5-7 pills per dose, dissolve in decoction of Zhuye (Bambusae Folium) or decoction of gold/silver, take at any time.
Qibao Zhenxin Wan (Seven-Treasure Heart-Calming Pill): Treats Jing-Xian in children with Heart Heat.
Yuanzhi (Polygalae Radix) [decored, ginger-processed and baked], Xionghuang (Realgar), Tie Fen (Iron Powder), Hupo (Electrum) [each 2 qian], Zhusha (Cinnabar) [1 qian], Jinyinbo (Gold/Silver Foil) [4 pieces], Shexiang (Moschus) [a small amount].
Grind the above into powder, use flesh of boiled dates to make pills, size of Sophora seeds. Take 3-5 pills per dose, dissolve in decoction of decored Maimendong, take at any time.
Qingshen San (Spirit-Clearing Powder): Treats Jing-Xian in children.
Xijiao (Rhino Horn), Baixianpi (Dictamni Cortex), Shichangpu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma), Yuanzhi (Polygalae Radix) [decored, ginger-processed and baked], Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma) [soaked in boiling water, each 2.5 qian], Fushen (Poria with Hostwood) [0.5 liang], Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) [baked], Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) [roasted, each 1.5 qian].
Grind the above into powder. Take half a qian per dose, mix with decoction of decored Maimendong, take at any time.
