When the sow presents with a body arched to the ground, first puncture the root of the tongue with a needle. Do not puncture the nails of the two great toes; for the remaining eight toe nails, insert one needle on each side. Then pour plain boiled water into the feeding trough, mix with water, and administer orally; it will be cured immediately. (Ibid.)
When the sow presents with abdominal distension and pain, rolling on the ground, urgently puncture the umbilicus (Shenque, CV8) three times, the vertex (Baihui, GV20) once, and the soles of the feet (Yongquan, KI1) twice (once on each foot); it will be cured immediately. (Ibid.)
When the sow presents with headache, abdominal distension, and cardiac inversion, if there are black, purple, or yellow spots on the anterior and posterior chest, puncture with a needle and wipe with vinegar. If the whole body is numb without these spots, it indicates Sha disease in the heart. The treatment involves puncturing each wrist and ankle once, and administering a mixture of stir-fried salt and boiling water orally; it will be cured immediately. (Ibid.)
When the sow is unable to speak, strike the vertex (Baihui, GV20) with a shoe sole dipped in water. For pregnant sows, part the hair at the vertex, dip hands in cool water, and gently strike the vertex; it will be cured immediately. (Ibid.)

A newborn infant appears like a fish bubble or crystal, clear and transparent; upon rupture, fluid flows out. Use Mituoseng (Litharge, PbO) ground into an extremely fine powder, sprinkle it on the affected area; it will be cured immediately. (Famous Medical Cases Compiled by Masters)
A newborn infant has red flesh all over the body without skin. This is because the mother lived in a building during the ten months of pregnancy, deprived of the nourishing Qi of the earth. Place the infant on muddy ground to lie for one night; the skin will gradually grow back, with miraculous effect. (Ibid.)
Another method: An infant is born without skin due to parents having previously suffered from Yangmei Jiedu (Syphilis), which was transmitted to the fetus. Consequently, the upper or lower body may be red and ulcerated, or even have a purplish-black color. Take 4 liang of Duanshi (Calcined Alum) that has not been moistened by rainwater, soak it in water until the depth covers the fingertip by half an inch, and leave it exposed overnight. When cloud-like flakes float on the surface, gently collect them, keeping them slightly moist. Mix with an equivalent amount of cold-pressed sesame oil, stirring in the direction of the grain until a paste forms. Apply with a chicken feather; it will heal spontaneously. Alternatively, use Sheng Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex) and Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum) in equal parts, grind into a fine powder, and dust the affected area. If wet, apply dry powder; if dry, mix with Gallbladder Bile for application; effective. (Medical Indication Summary)
