用不蛀皂角一挺大者，去皮棱为两片，去子，每一子内入巴豆肉一粒，线系定，童子小
便浸一宿，火上炙令焦黄色，去巴豆不用，或入一、二粒亦不妨，却用真杏仁一合，半夏一
合，二味入麻油内煎，赤裂为度，同皂角为细末，每服一字，用干柿半斤蘸药吃，或用白饧
亦可，临睡时服，服了不得吃汤水，妙不可言！
治痰嗽，亦治寒热壅嗽，张寺簿传。
人参（去芦） 桔梗 半夏（汤洗七次） 五味子 赤茯苓 白术（各一两） 枳壳 甘
草（炙，各半两）
上 咀，每服三钱重，水一盏半，姜五片，煎至七分，去滓，空心服。治寒壅者，加杏
仁不去皮尖，紫苏各半两。
治肺气不调，咳嗽喘急，胸膈烦闷，痰涎不利，坐卧不安，昼夜不止，久不
愈者，以致形容瘦减，力气羸劣者，并宜服之。苏司法次三传之于滕举二方。
人参 五味子 甘草 桂枝（各一分） 京紫菀 款冬花 杏仁（各半两） 缩砂仁 罂
粟壳（去顶穣，和姜汁制炒，各一两）
上并为饮子，每服四钱，水一盏半，姜五片，乌梅二枚，煎至七分，去滓温服。
治冒寒咳嗽，清涕自流。
麻黄（不去节） 杏仁（不去尖） 甘草（生用） 桂枝（微去皮） 干姜（炮，各半
两） 五味子
上为 咀饮子，每服三钱，水一盏半，生姜五片，葱白五寸，煎至七分，去滓热服。

取不蛀蚀的大皂角一根，去除棱角劈成两半，去掉种子，在每个种子孔内放入一粒巴豆肉，用线系紧，在童子的尿液中浸泡一夜，然后在火上烤至焦黄色，去掉巴豆不用（或者放入一两粒也无妨），接着取真杏仁一合，半夏一合，将这两味药放入麻油中煎炸，直到表面出现裂纹为止，与处理好的皂角一起研成细末。每次服用“一字”的量，用半斤干柿子蘸着药粉吃，或者用白饴糖也可以，临睡前服用，服后不得喝水或喝汤，效果妙不可言！
治疗痰嗽，也治疗寒热壅滞引起的咳嗽，由张寺簿传授。

以上药物切碎，每次取三钱重，加水一盏半，生姜五片，煎煮至七分水量，滤去药渣，空腹服用。如果是治疗寒邪壅滞的病症，加入不去皮尖的杏仁、紫苏各半两。
治疗肺气不调，咳嗽气喘急促，胸膈烦闷，痰涎不利，坐卧不安，昼夜不止，久治不愈，导致形体消瘦，力气虚弱的人，都适宜服用此方。此方由苏司法的第三个儿子传给滕举。

Shenxiao Tang (Miraculous Efficacy Decoction), transmitted by a Physician-in-waiting.
Take one large piece of non-boring Gleditsiae Fructus (Zaojiao, 皂角), remove the ridges and split it into two halves, remove the seeds. Place one seed of Semen Crotonis (Badou, 巴豆) inside each seed cavity, tie securely with thread, soak overnight in the urine of a young boy, then roast over fire until scorched yellow. Remove the Semen Crotonis (do not use it; adding one or two seeds is also acceptable). Then take one he of Semen Armeniacae Amarum (Xingren, 杏仁) and one he of Pinelliae Rhizoma Preparatum (Banxia, 半夏). Fry these two herbs in Sesami Oleum (Mahu You, 麻油) until they crack red. Grind together with the processed Gleditsiae Fructus into a fine powder. Take one "zi" (a traditional small weight unit) per dose. Dip half a jin (approx. 500g) of dried persimmon into the medicine powder and eat it, or use Baiyi (white maltose) as an alternative. Take before sleep. Do not drink water or soup after taking it. The efficacy is indescribably wonderful!
Treats Tan Sou (Phlegm Cough), and also treats Han Re Yong Sou (Cough due to Cold-Heat Obstruction), transmitted by Zhang Sibbu.
Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, 人参) (remove rhizome), Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix, 桔梗), Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma Preparatum, 半夏) (wash seven times with decoction), Wuweizi (Schisandrae Fructus, 五味子), Chifuling (Poria cum Rhus, 赤茯苓), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, 白术) (each 1 liang), Zhike (Aurantii Fructus, 枳壳), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 甘草) (roasted, each 0.5 liang).
Chop the above ingredients. For each dose, take 3 qian, add 1.5 zhan of water and 5 slices of Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, 生姜). Decoct until 0.7 zhan remains, filter dregs, and take on an empty stomach. To treat Cold Obstruction, add Xingren (Semen Armeniacae Amarum, 杏仁) without removing skin and tips, and Zisu (Perillae Folium, 紫苏), each 0.5 liang.
Treats Bu Tiao (Disorder) of Fei Qi (Lung Qi), coughing and wheezing, chest and diaphragm oppression, difficult expectoration of phlegm-saliva, restlessness day and night, persistent for a long time without cure, leading to emaciation and weakness. All such cases are suitable for this prescription. Transmitted by Su Sifa's third son to Teng Ju.
Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, 人参), Wuweizi (Schisandrae Fructus, 五味子), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 甘草), Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus, 桂枝) (each 1 fen), Jing Ziwan (Asteris Radix, 京紫菀), Kuandonghua (Farfarae Flos, 款冬花), Xingren (Semen Armeniacae Amarum, 杏仁) (each 0.5 liang), Suosharen (Amomi Fructus Rotundus, 缩砂仁), Ying Susu Qiao (Papaveris Capsicum, 罂粟壳) (remove top and pith, process with Shengjiang juice and stir-fry, each 1 liang).
Process all into a decoction (Yinzi). For each dose, take 4 qian, add 1.5 zhan of water, 5 slices of Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, 生姜), and 2 Wumei (Mume Fructus, 乌梅). Decoct until 0.7 zhan remains, filter dregs, and take warm.
Treats Mao Han Ke Sou (Cough due to Exposure to Cold), with clear nasal discharge flowing spontaneously.
Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, 麻黄) (do not remove joints), Xingren (Semen Armeniacae Amarum, 杏仁) (do not remove tips), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 甘草) (raw), Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus, 桂枝) (lightly remove bark), Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma, 干姜) (processed, each 0.5 liang), Wuweizi (Schisandrae Fructus, 五味子).
Chop the above into a decoction. For each dose, take 3 qian, add 1.5 zhan of water, 5 slices of Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, 生姜), and 5 cun of Congbai (Allii Fistulosi Bulbus, 葱白). Decoct until 0.7 zhan remains, filter dregs, and take hot.
