太阳寒水司天，太阴湿土在泉。中运为太角（木运太过）。岁木之气太过，气化运行先于天时。寒气在上，苍色之化在地，地气上升，雨水下降。雷声震动于春季。
这一年，水气为天气，土气为地气。土胜则水气虚弱，应当资助化源，以辅助天气中的水气。岁运属木，天气生助岁运。疾病方面，中焦宜味酸以调和，下焦宜味甘温以补益。
岁半之前，由太阳主事。若寒气过盛，则寒气反而到来，水结成冰，血液在中焦发生变化，发为痈疡。民众患病出现厥逆、心痛、心悸（澹澹）、神门穴处不适等症状。
岁半之后，由太阴主事。若湿气淫溢于内，则雾气昏暗笼罩山谷，黄色反现黑色。至阴交接之时，民众患病为饮邪积聚、心痛、耳部症状等。治疗宜用泻法。随证施治，病势平息。

五之气，从秋分日申初开始，到小雪日午初结束，共六十余日。主位为少商（金），客气为少阴君火，中见木运。木生火，火胜金，阳气复化，草木生长、化育、成熟，民众感到舒爽。宜调理少阴之客邪，以咸味补之，以甘味泻之，以酸味收敛之。岁谷宜……，间谷宜豆类。虽有热邪，不能为害。
终之气，从小雪日午正开始，到大寒日辰正结束，共六十余日。主位为太羽（水），客气为太阴湿土，中见木运。地气正常，湿气令行，阴气凝结于太虚，埃尘昏暗郊野，民众感到凄惨寒冷，寒风到来。若气候反常，胎儿乃死。木运制约它，土气乃郁结。宜治疗太阴之客邪，以甘味补之，以苦味泻之，以甘味缓之。岁谷宜……，间谷宜麻子。虽有湿邪，不能为害。

Taiyang Cold Water governs the Heaven (Si Tian), and Taiyin Damp Earth resides in the Earth (Zai Quan). The central movement is Taijue Wood (Excessive Wood Movement). The Wood Qi of the year is excessive, and its transformation operates prior to the natural timing. Cold transformation occurs above; Azure transformation occurs on the ground; Earth Qi rises; Rain descends. Thunder moves during this period.
In this year, Water Qi constitutes the Heaven Qi, and Earth Qi constitutes the Ground Qi. Earth overcomes Water, causing Heaven Qi to be deficient. One should nourish the source of transformation to assist the Water Qi of Heaven. The annual movement is Wood; Heaven Qi generates the movement. Regarding diseases: Middle Jiao should harmonize with Sour flavor; Lower Jiao should tonify with Sweet-Warm flavor.
Before the midpoint of the year, Taiyang governs. If Cold excess prevails, then Cold Qi returns reversely; Water freezes; Blood changes within; Carbuncles and sores erupt. The people suffer from Jue (cold extremities/reversal), Heartache, palpitations (Dan Dan), and discomfort at Shenmen acupoint.
After the midpoint of the year, Taiyin governs. If Dampness invades excessively internally, then mist and haze obscure the rocks and valleys; Yellow color appears reversed as Black. At the intersection of Extreme Yin, the people suffer from fluid accumulation (Yin Ji), heartache, and ear symptoms. Treatment should employ draining methods. Treat according to the condition until the disease subsides.
The First Qi begins from the Yin hour of the Great Cold day in the Xinmao year, ending at the Zi hour of the Spring Equinox of this year, lasting sixty days and eighty-seven and a half ke. The Host Position is Taijue Wood. [Text fragmentary]. Year grains should be black; intercalary grains should be Setaria italica (Ji). Although Cold pathogen exists, it cannot cause harm.
The Fourth Qi begins from the You hour of the Great Heat day, ending at the Wei hour of the Autumn Equinox, lasting over sixty days. The Host Position is Taigong Earth; the Guest Qi is Jueyin Wind Wood; the central movement is Wood Qi. The Qi and movement are identical, which is called Si Qi (Governing Qi). Wind and Damp contend; Wind transforms into Rain. Things grow, transform, and mature. The people suffer from high fever, shortness of breath, muscle atrophy, foot flaccidity, and dysentery with red and white discharge. It is appropriate to treat the Guest Qi of Jueyin with Sour flavor to drain, Sweet flavor to tonify, and Pungent flavor to relax. The Fifth Qi begins from the Shen hour of the Autumn Equinox day, ending at the Wu hour of the Minor Snow day, lasting over sixty days. The Host Position is Shaoshang Metal; the Guest Qi is Shaoyin Ministerial Fire; the central movement is Wood Qi. Wood generates Fire; Fire overcomes Metal; Yang recovers and transforms. Grass and trees grow, transform, and mature. The people feel comfortable. It is appropriate to regulate the Guest Qi of Shaoyin with Salty flavor to tonify, Sweet flavor to drain, and Sour flavor to astringe. Year grains should be...; intercalary grains should be beans. Although Heat pathogen exists, it cannot cause harm.
The Final Qi begins from the Wu hour of the Minor Snow day, ending at the Chen hour of the Great Cold day, lasting over sixty days. The Host Position is Taiyu Water; the Guest Qi is Taiyin Damp Earth; the central movement is Wood Qi. Earth Qi is correct; Damp command proceeds. Yin condenses in the great void; dust and haze obscure the suburbs. The people feel miserable and cold; Cold wind arrives. If there is reversal, pregnancy dies. Wood movement controls it; Earth Qi becomes depressed. It is appropriate to treat the Guest Qi of Taiyin with Sweet flavor to tonify, Bitter flavor to drain, and Sweet flavor to relax. Year grains should be...; intercalary grains should be Sesamum indicum (Sesame). Although Damp pathogen exists, it cannot cause harm.
This is the transformation of the Six Qi. At the transition of annual Qi, if Heaven Qi is superior, there will be a retaliation of Taiyin; if Earth Qi is superior, there will be a retaliation of Jueyin. Treatment should follow the method of superiority and retaliation.
