Tongjing Wan (Extracted from *Yixue Leizheng*).

Once there was a woman whose menstrual flow stopped. She had abdominal pain. All physicians prescribed medicines for warming the middle and treating cold qi. Her pain became even worse. She told her relatives, "The pain is unbearable, I wish to end my life." The family had no head. Therefore, she consulted the discussion on Tongjing Wan in *Ben Shi Fang*. She prepared it and took it. After a few doses, she was cured instantly. Another woman, pregnant for three or four months, suffered from dizziness and abdominal pain, unable to eat. She became increasingly emaciated, heavy, critical, and distressed. Medical treatment was ineffective. She had already arranged her funeral affairs. Accidentally obtaining Tongjing Wan and taking it, the pain stopped and eating returned to normal. When the term was full, she gave birth to a daughter. Both mother and child were safe. Generally, young unmarried women and married women often develop diseases due to menstrual blood issues. Patients entrust themselves purely to physicians for rescue. Unexpectedly, physicians do not thoroughly investigate the disease, relying on subjective speculation. They use prescriptions and administer drugs, merely saying bland things. This leads to delaying the condition until it deepens. Patients think physicians cannot treat them, hands tied waiting for death. This is like talking about ice and frost in summer. I have seen this situation with patients. If one says physicians still cannot treat it, then cutting off other medicines, why did the previous two cases respond to Tongjing Wan? Generally, do women not have blood diseases? To treat amenorrhea and the aforementioned blood diseases, Tongjing Wan is most accurate. Many cures have been achieved through medical intervention [using this formula].

To treat irregular menstruation.
Use juice squeezed from Titu leaves. Mix with wine and decoct to take one zhan.
