【附论】
所谓热毒之气侵袭眼部的情况，是由于体内潜伏的热邪在脏腑中积聚，导致心膈部位气机壅滞不畅。热毒熏蒸肝脏，并向上冲逆至眼部所致。肝气通于目，眼睛是肝的窍穴。如果受到邪热的侵袭，就会出现眼睛红赤、肿胀、疼痛，或者生成翳障等症状。
方剂：
犀角散（出自《圣惠方》）：治疗热病，热毒之气攻袭眼部，导致眼睛红赤干涩、肿胀疼痛。适宜服用此方。
药材：犀角屑、防风（去除芦头）、黄芩、川升麻、石膏、川大黄（锉碎后微炒）、黄连（去除须根）、大青、甘菊花、栀子仁、甘草（炙烤至微红色后锉碎，各半两）、麦门冬（一两，去心后焙干）。
制法与用法：将上述药材捣成粗散。每次服用三钱。取水一中盏，加入淡竹叶三十余片，煎煮至剩余六分药液，滤去药渣。不分时候，温服。
玄参散（出自《圣惠方》）：治疗热病，热毒攻袭眼部，导致额角偏侧疼痛，双眼干涩肿胀，心神烦闷不安。适宜服用此方。
药材：玄参、甘菊花、地骨皮、川升麻、黄连（去除须根）、栀子仁、柴胡（去除苗）、甘草（炙烤至微红色后锉碎，各半两）、麦门冬（一两，去心后焙干）。
制法与用法：将上述药材捣成粗散。每次服用三钱。取水一中盏，煎煮至剩余六分药液，滤去药渣。不分时候，温服。
青葙子丸（出自《圣惠方》）：治疗热病，热毒攻袭眼部，生成翳膜。适宜服用此方。
药材：青葙子、防风（去除芦头）、枳壳（麸炒至微黄色后去瓤，各一两）、枸杞子、泽泻、生干地黄、石决明（各一两半）、麦门冬（二两半，去心后焙干）、细辛、黄连（去除须根）、茺蔚子（各三分）、车前子（二两）。
制法与用法：将上述药材研为细末，用炼蜜调和，捣杵三二百下，制成如梧桐子大小的丸药。每次服用三十丸，用清粥汤送服。不分时候，温服。
洗眼黄柏汤（出自《圣惠方》）：治疗热病，毒气攻袭双眼，导致红赤肿胀疼痛。适宜服用此方外洗。
药材：黄柏、黄连、当归、甘草（生用）、黄芩（各半两）、灯心草（三束）、杏仁（热水浸泡去皮尖及双仁者，生用）、蕤仁（各一分）、大枣（五枚）。
制法与用法：将上述药材细细锉碎。全部用水三大盏，煎取药液一盏半。用绵布过滤去渣。待药液温度适宜（冷暖适中），在避风处清洗眼睛。每日使用三到五次。
洗眼栀子汤（出自《圣惠方》）：治疗热病，热毒之气攻袭眼部，生成赤脉和翳膜，伴有疼痛，畏光。适宜服用此方外洗。
药材：栀子仁、黄柏、黄芩、黄连、秦皮（锉碎）、决明子（微炒，各半两）、蕤仁（一分）、大枣（五枚）。
制法与用法：将上述药材细细锉碎。全部用水二大盏，煎取药液一大盏。用绵布过滤去渣。在避风处，待药液温度适宜后清洗眼睛。每日使用三到五次。
洗眼黄连汤（出自《圣惠方》）：治疗热病，毒气攻袭眼部，导致红赤肿胀疼痛。适宜服用此方外洗。
药材：黄连、甘草（生用）、秦皮、秦艽（去除苗，各一两）、黄柏（二两）。
制法与用法：将上述药材细细锉碎。全部用水三大盏，煎至剩余两大盏药液。待药液温热时清洗眼睛。每日使用三到五次。

制法与用法：将上述药材捣成粗散。每次服用三钱。取水一中盏，加入淡竹叶三十余片，煎煮至剩余六分药液，滤去药渣。不分时候，温服。
治疗热病痊愈后生成翳障的方子。（出自《肘后方》）
制法与用法：将豆豉十四粒烧成炭末，装入管中，吹入鼻中。
治疗热病痊愈后一百天内，食用五辛食物导致视力昏暗的情况。（出自《本草》）
制法与用法：用鲫鱼制作鱼羹或鱼肉，利用其烟气熏蒸眼睛，即可痊愈。
[Supplementary Discussion]
The condition where heat-toxin qi attacks the eyes is caused by latent heat accumulating in the zang-fu organs, leading to stagnation and obstruction in the heart and diaphragm. The heat-toxin steams and steers towards the Liver, rushing upward to the eyes. The Qi of the Liver connects with the eyes; the eyes are the orifice of the Liver. If attacked by pathogenic heat, symptoms such as redness, swelling, pain, or the formation of nebulae (opacities) may occur.
Formulas:
Xijiao San (Rhinoceros Horn Powder) [Source: *Shenghui Fang*]: Treats febrile diseases where heat-toxin qi attacks the eyes, causing redness, dryness, swelling, and pain. Suitable for administration.
Ingredients: Rhinoceros Horn shavings (Rhinocerotis Cornu), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Chuan Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum), Chuan Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Daqing (Isatidis Folium), Gan Juhua (Chrysanthemi Flos), Zhizi Ren (Gardeniae Fructus), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, honey-fried), Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix).
Preparation and Administration: Grind the above ingredients into a coarse powder. Take 3 qian per dose. Add 1 zhongzhan of water and 30-70 leaves of Danzhuyezhu (Lophatheri Herba), decoct until 6 fen remains. Strain the dregs. Take warm at any time.
Xuanshen San (Scrophulariae Radix Powder) [Source: *Shenghui Fang*]: Treats febrile diseases where heat-toxin attacks the eyes, causing unilateral temporal headache, dryness and swelling of both eyes, and mental restlessness. Suitable for administration.
Ingredients: Xuanshen (Scrophulariae Radix), Gan Juhua (Chrysanthemi Flos), Digupi (Lycii Cortex), Chuan Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Zhizi Ren (Gardeniae Fructus), Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, honey-fried), Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix).
Preparation and Administration: Grind the above ingredients into a coarse powder. Take 3 qian per dose. Add 1 zhongzhan of water, decoct until 6 fen remains. Strain the dregs. Take warm at any time.
Qingxiangzi Wan (Celosiae Semen Pill) [Source: *Shenghui Fang*]: Treats febrile diseases where heat-toxin attacks the eyes, causing the formation of nebulae (membranous opacities). Suitable for administration.
Ingredients: Qingxiangzi (Celosiae Semen), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Zhike (Aurantii Fructus, bran-fried), Gouqizi (Lycii Fructus), Zexie (Alismatis Rhizoma), Sheng Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix), Shi Jueming (Haliotidis Concha), Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Chongweizi (Leonuri Fructus), Cheqianzi (Plantaginis Semen).
Preparation and Administration: Grind the above ingredients into fine powder. Mix with refined honey and pound 200-300 times to form pills the size of wutong seeds. Take 30 pills per dose, washed down with clear rice broth. Take warm at any time.
Xiyan Huangbai Tang (Phellodendri Decoction for Eye Washing) [Source: *Shenghui Fang*]: Treats febrile diseases where toxic qi attacks both eyes, causing redness, swelling, and pain. Suitable for external washing.
Ingredients: Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, raw), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Dengxin (Junci Medulla), Xingren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum), Ruiren (Pruni Armeniacae Semen), Zao (Jujubae Fructus).
Preparation and Administration: Finely chop the above ingredients. Add 3 large zhan of water, decoct to obtain 1.5 zhan. Filter through cotton cloth to remove dregs. Check temperature for comfort. Wash eyes in a wind-sheltered place. Use 3-5 times daily.
Xiyan Zhizi Tang (Gardeniae Decoction for Eye Washing) [Source: *Shenghui Fang*]: Treats febrile diseases where heat-toxin qi attacks the eyes, causing red veins and nebulae (opacities), pain, and photophobia. Suitable for external washing.
Ingredients: Zhizi Ren (Gardeniae Fructus), Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Qinpi (Fraxini Cortex), Juemingzi (Cassiae Semen), Ruiren (Pruni Armeniacae Semen), Zao (Jujubae Fructus).

Ingredients: Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma, crushed), Mayaxiao (Natrii Sulfas), Ren Ruzhi (Human Milk).
Preparation and Administration: Put Huanglian and Mayaxiao into human milk and soak overnight. Filter to obtain clear liquid. Apply to eyes. Use 5-7 times daily.
Xigan San (Liver-Washing Powder) [Source: *Shenghui Fang*]: Treats febrile diseases where heat-toxin attacks the eyes, causing swelling and pain. Suitable for administration.
