五次。十日当瘥矣。
楸叶煎（出圣惠方）治瘰 疮神效方。
用秋分前后。平旦令人持囊袋。于枝上摘叶内袋中。秤取十五斤。水一石。净釜中煎取
三斗。又别换锅煎取七升。再换锅煎取二升。煎成入于瓷器中。凡患此疮者。先用麻油半合。
蜡一分。酥一粟许同消。如面脂。又取杏仁七粒。生姜少许。同研令细。米粉二钱。同入膏
中。搅令匀。先涂疮上。经二日后。乃拭干。即以蓖子匀涂楸叶煎敷疮上。仍用软帛裹好。
二日一度。拭却更上新药。不过五六次。已作头便生肌平复。未破者。即内消。瘥后须将理
半年以来。采叶及煎合时。忌孝子妇人僧人及鸡犬见之。
疗鼠 瘰 身热方。
用猪脂腊月者佳。并正月鼠头俱烧作灰。调和敷之即愈。若不瘥者。随瘰 之左右肩头
灸之。三指度。以下指。灸炷。皆如鸡子大良。若不能堪者。即灸如中黄豆大亦可。已试有
良验。
白花蛇散（出鲍氏方）治九 瘰 生于项腋之间。寒热交作。或不痛者。

上为细末。加腻粉半钱研匀。每服二钱。五更糯米饮下。已时当下恶物。十日再一服。忌食

之三度。根即出也。无孔者铁皮内之。
【附论】
所谓瘰疬，是由于强力入水、坐卧湿地，或者刚洗完头头发未干时，汗水流入头部，流注在颈部上方所引发的疾病。发病初期，病灶位于颈项部位，通常伴有脓液和渗出液，使人出现寒热交替的症状。其病根在于肾脏。
方剂
雄黄芍药丸（出自《千金方》），治疗瘰疬。症状表现为颈项部有根结，起初感到疼痛，令人寒热交作。此病多因洗头后湿发纠结，汗水流注于颈部所致。病根在肾，以雄黄为主药，芍药为佐药。
药材：雄黄、芍药、茯苓、续断、干地黄、空青、矾石、干姜、桔梗、蜀椒、恒山、虎肾（一作虎脂）、狸肉、乌脑、斑蝥（去除头、足、翅，用糯米拌炒至黄色为度，各一分）、矾石、附子（一两）。
制法与用法：将上述药物研成细末，用炼蜜调和制成如绿豆大小的丸剂。每次服用十丸，用酒送服，每日两次。忌食猪肉、冷水、生葱、生菜、芜荑、生血类食物及醋制品等。
露蜂房丸（出自《圣惠方》），治疗瘰疬发于颈项及腋下，多头形成孔窍，常流出脓血不止。
药材：露蜂房（一两）、续断（一两）、矾石（一两，用泥包裹烧至半两）、犀角屑（半两）、空青（半两，烧过后细研）、雄黄（一分，细研）、桔梗（半两，去芦头）、狸头（一枚，烧成灰）、麝香（一分，细研）、川大黄（一两，锉碎微炒）、斑蝥（一两，去除头、足、翅，用糯米拌炒至黄色为度）。
制法与用法：将上述药物研成细末，混合均匀。用炼蜜调和并捣二三百杵，制成如绿豆大小的丸剂。每次于饭前用粥饮送服十丸。
蜥蜴丸（出自《圣惠方》），治疗瘰疬。
药材：蜥蜴（一枚，炒熟）、芫青（五十枚，去除头、足、翅，用糯米拌炒至米黄色为度）、麝香（一分，细研）、犀角屑（三分）、斑蝥（二十枚，去除头、足、翅，用糯米拌炒至米黄色为度）、地胆（三十枚，去除头、足、翅，用糯米炒至黄色为度）、黑豆黄（三分）、甘草（三分，锉碎炙烤至微赤）。
制法与用法：将上述药物研成细末，用粟米饭调和制成如绿豆大小的丸剂。每日空腹时用温酒送服一钱。服用一百日可见效。
又一方（出自《圣惠方》），治疗瘰疬肿胀破溃成疮者，适宜使用此方。
药材：麝香（一分，细研）、胡粉（一两）、黄丹（一两，微炒）。
制法与用法：将上述药物都研细混合均匀。取暖浆水洗净疮口，用软布拭干。用蜂蜜调匀药粉，摊在旧布上贴敷。每日更换两次。
蛇床子膏（出自《圣惠方》），治疗瘰疬形成多个孔窍。
药材：蛇床子（三两，研末）、黄蜡（二两）、乱发灰（半两，细研）、大麻油（四两）。
制法与用法：用小火加热油，煎煮蛇床子十余沸，滤去药渣。接着加入发灰和黄蜡熬制成膏。随时取适量摊在布上贴敷。
治疗瘰疬成疮（出自《圣惠方》）
药材：砒霜（半两）、粉霜（半两）。
制法与用法：将上述药物研成细末，用面粉调和制成如绿豆大小的丸剂。放置在疮头之上，用面糊纸封好。待疮头排出后，便用生肌膏贴敷。
治疗瘰疬横阔呈头状，形似杏仁者，又名瘰疬方（出自《千金方》）
用法：用雄鸡屎烧成灰，腊月猪膏调和后外敷。
莨菪子方（出自《圣惠方》），治疗瘰疬。
用法：取莨菪子三两，淘去浮者，用小火炒熟。用醇醋一升浸泡一夜，晒干。再放入酒中浸泡一夜，又晒干。再用半升酒净洗一次，又晒干。每日空腹取三指撮的量，用井花水送服。服药后进食，每日三至五次，十日应当痊愈。
楸叶煎（出自《圣惠方》），治疗瘰疬疮的神效方。
用法：在秋分前后，清晨让人拿着囊袋，在树枝上摘取叶子放入袋中，称取十五斤。用水一石，在干净的锅中煎取三斗。再换锅煎取七升。再换锅煎取二升。煎成后装入瓷器中。凡是患有此疮的人，先用麻油半合、蜡一分、酥少许一同熔化，如面脂状。再取杏仁七粒、生姜少许，同研极细，米粉二钱，一同加入膏中，搅匀。先涂在疮上，两天后，拭干，然后用蓖子均匀涂抹楸叶煎敷在疮上，仍用软布包好。每两天一次，拭去旧药换新药。不超过五六次，已化脓的便会生肌平复；未破溃的，即可内消。痊愈后须调养半年。采集叶子及煎制时，忌讳孝子、妇人、僧人及鸡犬看见。
疗鼠瘰身热方
用法：用腊月猪脂为佳，连同正月老鼠的头一起烧成灰，调和后外敷即愈。若不愈，可在瘰疬左右肩头施灸。量取三指宽度，以下指为度，灸炷大小如鸡蛋大最好。若不能耐受，灸如黄豆大也可。已有良验。
白花蛇散（出自《鲍氏方》），治疗九种瘰疬生于项腋之间，寒热交作，或不痛者。
药材：白花蛇（酒浸去皮骨焙干二两）、生犀角（半钱）、青皮（半两）、黑牵牛（半两，半生半炒）。
制法与用法：将上述药物研成细末，加腻粉半钱研匀。每服二钱，五更天用糯米饮送下。巳时应排出恶物。十日再服一次。忌食发风热之物。已成疮者，一月有效。后用四圣散补益。
四圣散组成：海藻（洗）、石决明、羌活、瞿麦（各等分）。
用法：将上述各等分药物研成末，米饮送服二钱，每日三次。
治疗疮根结核，瘰疬毒肿（出自《本草单方》）
用法：以射干涂于肉的四周边缘，渐渐靠近疮口。药力会逐病深入至骨。若疮内有熟脓及黄水流出者，可涂之。若无脓水，有生血及伤肉破损者，则不可涂，涂之杀人。
治疗瘰疬鼠疮（出自《本草单方》）
用法：取夏枯草，初生嫩时采摘。必须浸洗淘去苦水，作为蔬菜食用。
治疗瘰疬疮，及风顽疥癣（出自《本草单方》）
用法：以鳖甲炙烧，用酒浸服。
治疗痈疮肿硬绑定等（出自《本草单方》）
用法：以山慈菇根醋磨后外敷。
治疗瘰疬成孔者（出自《本草单方》）
用法：取露蜂房二枚，炙成末，腊月猪脂调和涂于孔上即愈。
治疗瘰疬五痔瘤疮根恶肿（出自《本草单方》）
用法：取石黄、空青、桂心各四两，干姜一两，研成末。取宽五寸的铁片，烧红后将药置于铁片上，用磁碗扣住，碗底涂猪脂。药气飞上附着于碗底，得冷即可。如此重复五次。根据疮孔大小，将药加入儿屎内插入孔中，用面封固三次，病根即可排出。无孔者将铁皮内含之。
[Supplementary Discussion]
Luoli (Scrofula) is a disease caused by strenuous activity in water, sitting on damp ground, or after washing hair when sweat flows into the head and accumulates above the neck. Initially, the lesions appear on the neck and nape, often accompanied by pus and discharge, causing chills and fever. The root of the disease lies in the Kidney.
Formulas
Xionghuang Shaoyao Wan (Cinnabar and Peony Pill), from *Qianjin Fang*, treats Luoli. Symptoms include rooted nodules in the neck and nape, initial pain, and alternating chills and fever. This condition results from wet, knotted hair after washing, with sweat flowing to the neck. The root is in the Kidney. Xionghuang (Realgar) is the principal herb, and Shaoyao (Peony Root) is the assistant herb.
Ingredients: Xionghuang (Realgar), Shaoyao (Peony Root), Fuling (Poria), Xuduan (Dipsacus Root), Gan Dihuang (Prepared Rehmannia Root), Kongqing (Azurite), Fanshi (Alum), Ganjiang (Dried Ginger), Jiegeng (Platycodon Root), Shujiao (Sichuan Pepper), Hengshan (Polygala Root), Hushen (Tiger Kidney, alternatively Huzhi/Tiger Fat), Li Rou (Fox Meat), Wunao (Crow Brain), Banmao (Mylabris Beetle - remove head, feet, wings, stir-fry with glutinous rice until yellow, 1 fen each); Fanshi (Alum), Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Root, 1 liang).
Preparation and Administration: Grind all ingredients into fine powder. Mix with refined honey to form pills the size of mung beans. Take 10 pills with wine, twice daily. Avoid pork, cold water, raw scallions, raw vegetables, Pyrethrum fruit, blood products, and vinegar-based foods.
Lufengfang Wan (Honeycomb Pill), from *Shenghui Fang*, treats Luoli occurring in the neck, nape, and axillae, characterized by multiple heads forming orifices with continuous pus and blood discharge.
Ingredients: Lufengfang (Honeycomb, 1 liang), Xuduan (Dipsacus Root, 1 liang), Fanshi (Alum, 1 liang wrapped in mud and fired until half liang remains), Xijiao Xie (Rhinoceros Horn Shavings, 0.5 liang), Kongqing (Azurite, 0.5 liang fired and finely ground), Xionghuang (Realgar, 1 fen finely ground), Jiegeng (Platycodon Root, 0.5 liang, remove rhizome), Li Tou (Fox Head, 1 piece fired to ash), Shexiang (Musk, 1 fen finely ground), Chuan Dahuang (Rhubarb Root and Rhizome, 1 liang crushed and lightly fried), Banmao (Mylabris Beetle, 1 liang, remove head, feet, wings, stir-fry with glutinous rice until yellow).
Preparation and Administration: Grind all ingredients into fine powder and mix evenly. Knead with refined honey for 200-300 strikes to form pills the size of mung beans. Take 10 pills before meals with gruel broth.
Xi Yi Wan (Lizard Pill), from *Shenghui Fang*, treats Luoli.
Ingredients: Xi Yi (Lizard, 1 piece stir-fried until cooked), Yuan Qing (Blister Beetle, 50 pieces, remove head, feet, wings, stir-fry with glutinous rice until rice turns yellow), Shexiang (Musk, 1 fen finely ground), Xijiao Xie (Rhinoceros Horn Shavings, 3 fen), Banmao (Mylabris Beetle, 20 pieces, remove head, feet, wings, stir-fry with glutinous rice until rice turns yellow), Di Dan (Blister Beetle, 30 pieces, remove head, feet, wings, stir-fry with glutinous rice until yellow), Heidou Huang (Black Soybean Yellow, 3 fen), Gancao (Licorice Root, 3 fen, crushed and roasted until slightly red).
Preparation and Administration: Grind all ingredients into fine powder. Mix with millet rice to form pills the size of mung beans. Take 1 qian with warm wine on an empty stomach daily. Effective after 100 days.
Another Prescription (from *Shenghui Fang*), for Luoli that has swollen and ulcerated.
Ingredients: Shexiang (Musk, 1 fen finely ground), Hufen (Lead Carbonate, 1 liang), Huangdan (Red Lead, 1 liang lightly fried).
Preparation and Administration: Grind all ingredients finely and mix evenly. Wash the wound with warm starch water and dry with soft cloth. Mix the powder with honey, spread on old cloth, and apply as a plaster. Change twice daily.
Shechuangzi Gao (Cnidium Ointment), from *Shenghui Fang*, treats Luoli with multiple orifices.
Ingredients: Shechuangzi (Cnidium Fruit, 3 liang ground), Huangla (Yellow Beeswax, 2 liang), Luangfa Hui (Ash of Tangled Hair, 0.5 liang finely ground), Dama You (Hemp Seed Oil, 4 liang).
Preparation and Administration: Heat the oil over low fire and boil Shechuangzi for about ten boils. Strain out the dregs. Add the hair ash and beeswax, simmer into an ointment. Apply to the affected area using cloth bandages as needed.
Treatment for Ulcerated Luoli (from *Shenghui Fang*)
Ingredients: Pishuang (Arsenic Trioxide, 0.5 liang), Fen Shuang (Sublimated Arsenic Oxide, 0.5 liang).
Preparation and Administration: Grind into fine powder. Form pills the size of mung beans using flour dough. Place the pill on the head of the ulcer. Seal well with paste and paper. Once the necrotic tissue discharges, apply Shengji Gao (Flesh-Regenerating Ointment).
Treatment for Broad, Head-like Luoli Resembling Almonds (from *Qianjin Fang*)
Usage: Burn male chicken excrement to ash. Mix with pig fat from the twelfth lunar month and apply externally.
Langdanzi Fang (Cocklebur Seed Prescription), from *Shenghui Fang*, treats Luoli.
Usage: Take 3 liang of Langdanzi seeds. Remove floating ones. Stir-fry over low heat until cooked. Soak in 1 sheng of strong vinegar overnight, then dry. Soak in wine overnight, then dry again. Rinse thoroughly with 0.5 sheng of wine, then dry. On an empty stomach daily, take a pinch held by three fingers, swallow with well water. Eat afterwards. Take 3-5 times daily. Recovery expected within 10 days.
Qiu Ye Jian (Hackberry Leaf Decoction), from *Shenghui Fang*, a miraculous prescription for Luoli ulcers.
Usage: Around the Autumn Equinox, at dawn, collect leaves into a bag, weighing 15 jin. Boil in 1 dan of water in a clean pot until reduced to 3 dou. Transfer to another pot and boil down to 7 sheng. Transfer again and boil down to 2 sheng. Store in a porcelain vessel. For patients, first melt 0.5 he of sesame oil, 1 fen of beeswax, and a small amount of butter/ghee until liquid like face cream. Grind 7 almonds and a little ginger finely. Add 2 qian of rice flour to the mixture and stir well. Apply to the ulcer. After two days, wipe clean, then uniformly apply Qiu Ye Jian using a castor bean shell applicator. Cover with soft cloth. Replace medication every two days. Within 5-6 applications, suppurating lesions will regenerate flesh and heal; non-ulcerated lesions will resolve internally. Post-recovery care should last six months. During collection and preparation, avoid letting filial sons, women, monks, chickens, or dogs see the process.
Prescription for Rat Scrofula with Body Heat
Usage: Use pig fat from the twelfth lunar month. Burn the head of a rat caught in the first lunar month to ash. Mix and apply externally for cure. If ineffective, moxa the shoulders on either side of the lesion. Measure three finger widths, using the lower finger as reference. Moxa cones should be egg-sized. If intolerable, use soybean-sized cones. Proven effective.
Baihua San San (White Flower Snake Powder), from *Bao Shi Fang*, treats nine types of Luoli between the neck and axillae, with alternating chills and fever, or painless lesions.
Ingredients: Baihua She (White-banded Snake, soaked in wine, skin and bones removed, dried, 2 liang), Sheng Xijiao (Fresh Rhinoceros Horn, 0.5 qian), Qingpi (Green Tangerine Peel, 0.5 liang), Hei Qianniu (Black Morning Glory Seed, 0.5 liang, half raw half fried).
Preparation and Administration: Grind into fine powder. Add Nifen (Calomel, 0.5 qian) and grind evenly. Take 2 qian at dawn (Wu Geng) with glutinous rice drink. Evil matter should be discharged during Si hour (9-11 AM). Repeat dose every 10 days. Avoid wind-inducing and heat-producing foods. Effective within one month for ulcerated cases. Follow up with Sisheng San for tonification.
Sisheng San Composition: Haizao (Seaweed, washed), Shijueming (Abalone Shell), Qianghuo (Notopterygium Root), Qumai (Dianthus Herb) (equal parts).
Usage: Grind equal parts into powder. Take 2 qian with rice drink, three times daily.
Treatment for Luoli, Hemorrhoids, and Fistula Ulcers (from *Bencao Danfang*)
Usage: Apply Toad Excrement Oil externally.
Treatment for Root Nodules and Toxic Swelling of Luoli (from *Bencao Danfang*)
Usage: Apply Shéyè (Belamcanda Rhizome) around the four sides of the flesh, gradually approaching the ulcer. The medicinal effect drives the pathogen deep into the bone. Apply if there is ripe pus or yellow fluid. Do not apply if there is no pus/fluid but rather fresh bleeding or torn flesh; application may be fatal.
Treatment for Luoli Rat Ulcers (from *Bencao Danfang*)
Usage: Harvest Xia Ku Cao (Prunella Vulgaris) when young and tender. Must soak and wash to remove bitter water. Consume as a vegetable.
Treatment for Luoli Ulcers and Stubborn Wind Eczema/Scabies (from *Bencao Danfang*)
Usage: Roast Biejia (Softshell Turtle Shell), soak in wine, and drink.
Treatment for Carbuncles, Swelling, and Hard Bindings (from *Bencao Danfang*)
Usage: Grind Shancigu (Gloriosa Root) with vinegar and apply externally.
Treatment for Luoli with Orifices (from *Bencao Danfang*)
Usage: Take 2 Lufengfang (Honeycombs), roast into powder, mix with pig fat from the twelfth lunar month, and apply to the orifice for cure.
Treatment for Luoli, Five Types of Hemorrhoids, Tumors, Ulcer Roots, and Malignant Swellings (from *Bencao Danfang*)
Usage: Take Shihuang (Orpiment), Kongqing (Azurite), Guixin (Cinnamon Twig) each 4 liang, and Ganjiang (Dried Ginger) 1 liang. Grind into powder. Take an iron sheet 5 cun wide, heat until red, place medicine on it. Cover with a ceramic bowl coated with pig fat on the bottom. The sublimated medicine will adhere to the bowl bottom upon cooling. Repeat this process five times. According to the size of the ulcer orifice, insert the medicine mixed with infant feces into the hole. Seal with dough three times to extract the root. For non-orifice cases, enclose in iron sheet.
