According to the *Suwen* (Basic Questions), various wind diseases causing dizziness and tremors are all attributed to the Liver. From this, it is known that Liver Wind attacking upwards inevitably leads to vertigo. Vertigo refers to blurred vision and the sensation of houses spinning; upon rising, one feels dizzy and may even fall. This occurs because the body is deficient, allowing Wind Evil to invade. When Wind Evil enters the brain, it causes cerebral rotation and tension in the visual system (Ocular System). Tension in the visual system results in vertigo, and in severe cases, sudden collapse. Upon pulse diagnosis, a surging and long pulse indicates Wind Vertigo; a floating Yang pulse indicates transient Wind Vertigo upon standing up. If eye vertigo persists without healing, it transforms into Epilepsy (Dian Syndrome).
