【气味】甘平，无毒。
【主治】主安五脏，定魂魄，杀精魅邪鬼，消瘀血，通五淋。
【核】曰∶出永昌、舶上、西戎、高丽、倭国者良。即松树荣盛时，流脂入土，千岁后，
沦结所成也。一种象物珀，内有物形；一种血珀，殷红如血色；一种赤松脂，形如琥珀，浊
大而脆，文理皆横；一种水珀，浅黄色，多皱文；一种石珀、深黄色，重如砂石；一种花珀，
文如马尾松，而黄白相间者次之；别有一种蜜蜡珀，臭之作蜜蜡香，色黄白，即蜂蜜所化；
一种枫脂珀，烧之不作松脂臭，即枫脂所化也。入药唯松脂血珀最良。修治用水调侧柏子末
，安瓷锅中，置琥珀于内煮之，从巳至申，当有异光，研粉筛用。
【 】曰∶虎魄入土化石，松脂入土化珀，同成坚固，因名琥珀。况膏释脂凝，则松脂
原具坚固相矣。入土沦结，自然莹光特异。虽与松脂偕安五脏，不若琥珀之能奠安神室也。
魂游于天，对待治之；魄降于地，想更亲切。故定魂魄之功，昭着特甚。瘀血五淋，腐秽所
成。松脂琥珀，精英所聚，杀精魅邪鬼者，以异光璧照，则鬼魅遁形，如神明在躬，死阴自
当潜消默化矣。
（猛虎非寿兽，其魄入土化石者，嗔业所致也。松木耐岁寒，其脂入土化珀者，净业所
成也。）

【气味】味甘，性平，无毒。
【主治】主要安定五脏，镇定魂魄，驱杀精魅邪鬼，消除瘀血，通利五种淋证。
【核】说：出自永昌、海外商船带来、西戎、高丽、倭国等地的品质优良。这是松树茂盛时，流出的树脂渗入地下，经过千年后，沉沦凝结而成的。其中一种像物珀，内部有物体形状；一种血珀，殷红如血色；一种赤松脂，形状像琥珀，浑浊粗大且脆，纹理都是横向的；一种水珀，浅黄色，多有皱纹；一种石珀，深黄色，重量像砂石一样重；一种花珀，纹理像马尾松，黄白相间的次一等；另外还有一种蜜蜡珀，气味像蜜蜡香，颜色黄白，是由蜂蜜转化而成的；一种枫脂珀，烧制时没有松脂的气味，是由枫树树脂转化而成的。入药以松脂和血珀为最佳。炮制方法是用清水调拌侧柏子末，放入瓷锅中，将琥珀置于其中煮制，从巳时到申时，应当会有奇异的光泽出现，研磨成粉后筛取使用。
【注】说：虎魄（琥珀）入土化为石头，松脂入土化为琥珀，同样形成坚固的物质，因此命名为琥珀。况且膏液释放、脂液凝固，那么松脂原本就具备坚固的特性了。进入地下沉沦凝结，自然发出特异莹润的光泽。虽然与松脂都能安定五脏，但不如琥珀能够奠安神室（指心神居所）。魂游荡于天，用对待的方法治疗它；魄沉降于地，想象起来更加亲切。所以定魂魄的功效，特别显著。瘀血和五淋，是由腐败污秽之物形成的。松脂和琥珀是精华聚集之处，能杀精魅邪鬼的原因，是因为其异光璧照，使得鬼魅显露原形，如同神明在身旁，死阴之气自然就会潜消默化了。
（猛虎不是长寿之兽，它的魄入土化为石头，是嗔恚业力所致。松树耐寒，它的脂入土化为琥珀，是清净业力所成就的。）

[Flavor and Nature] Sweet, neutral, non-toxic.
[Indications] Primarily calms the Five Viscera (Zang organs), stabilizes Hun (Ethereal Soul) and Po (Corporeal Soul), eliminates demons and evil spirits, resolves blood stasis, and unblocks the five types of Lin syndrome (dysuria).
[Analysis] It is said: Those originating from Yongchang, brought by overseas ships, from Western Regions, Goryeo, and Wa (Japan) are of superior quality. This substance forms when resin flows from flourishing pine trees into the soil and, after a thousand years, sinks and condenses into formation. One type resembles "Wu Po" (Object Amber), containing shapes of objects inside; one type is Blood Amber, dark red like blood color; one type is Red Pine Resin, shaped like amber but turbid, coarse, and brittle, with all textures running horizontally; one type is Water Amber, pale yellow with many wrinkles; one type is Stone Amber, deep yellow, heavy as sand or gravel; one type is Flower Amber, with textures resembling Masson pine, where yellow and white intermingle, considered inferior; another distinct type is Beeswax Amber, smelling like beeswax, yellowish-white, transformed from honey; one type is Maple Resin Amber, which does not smell like pine resin when burned, transformed from maple resin. For medicinal use, Pine Resin and Blood Amber are the best. Processing method: Mix Cnidii Fructus (Ce Bai Zi, 侧柏子) powder with water, place it in a porcelain pot, put the Amber inside, and boil from Si hour to Shen hour. There should be an unusual luster appearing. Grind into powder and sieve for use.
[Note] It is said: Tiger's soul (Amber) turns into stone when entering the earth, and Pine resin turns into Amber when entering the earth; both form solid substances, hence named Amber. Moreover, since fluid releases and fat coagulates, Pine resin originally possesses the characteristic of solidity. When sinking and condensing underground, it naturally emits a special, lustrous glow. Although both Pine resin and Amber can calm the Five Viscera, Amber is superior in establishing and calming the Divine Residence (Shen Shi, referring to the abode of the Mind/Shen). The Hun wanders in the heavens, treated by addressing its counterpart; the Po descends to the earth, making it more intimate to relate to. Therefore, the merit of stabilizing Hun and Po is particularly prominent. Blood stasis and the five Lin syndromes are formed by decay and filth. Pine resin and Amber gather essence and brilliance. The reason they can eliminate demons and evil spirits is that their unique light illuminates like a jade disc, causing ghosts and demons to reveal their forms. As if a divine spirit were present, Yin of death will naturally dissipate silently.
(The fierce tiger is not a long-lived beast; its Po turning into stone upon entering the earth is caused by karmic retribution of anger. The pine tree withstands cold winters; its resin turning into amber upon entering the earth is achieved through pure karma.)
