妊娠水肿，大鲤鱼一个，入赤小豆同煮，食鱼服汁，良有效也。（验方第一。）

久痢欲死，大鲤鱼重一二斤者，照常油盐等，留鳞，加胡椒末三钱，入水煮熟
后，置病者前嗅之，如欲食，即连汤食一斤，病自愈。（第三。）
收取阴干。
苦，寒，无毒。点目消赤肿障翳，咽津吐喉痹痰涎。涂火热疮，疗鱼骨鲠。
味甘。喉痹将死，点入即活。
甘，温，无毒。温中下气，利水消肿，止血住痢，疗疮平疳。
猝患水肿，用三条，去肠留鳞，以商陆、赤小豆填扎定，煮烂去鱼，食豆服汁，二日一

刮骨取牙，用一个去肠，入砒在内，露于阴处，待有霜，刮下瓶收。以针搜开牙根，点

咳嗽即落，良有效也。（第四。）
反胃，去肠留鳞，入矾石封固， 末服，饮下。（第五。）
乳岩隐痛，活鲫鱼取肉，用白鲜、山药共捣如泥，加元香敷之，七日一换，痒极无动。

味甘，性平，无毒。治疗咳嗽气逆，疗治香港脚及黄疸，治疗妊娠水肿，化解心部的结块。最善于通利小便，擅长调理气与水液代谢。
【验方第一】妊娠水肿：取大鲤鱼一条，与赤小豆一同煮食，吃鱼喝汤，效果良好。
【第二】水肿：方法同上。
【第三】久痢欲死：取重一至二斤的大鲤鱼，按常规用油盐等调料烹饪，保留鱼鳞，加入三钱胡椒末，加水煮熟后，放在病人面前让其闻气味，如果病人想吃，就连同汤汁一起吃下一斤，病自然痊愈。

阴干收存。
味苦，性寒，无毒。滴入眼中可消除红肿和翳障，吞咽津液可吐出喉痹的痰涎。涂抹于火热引起的疮疡，治疗鱼骨卡喉。
味甘。喉痹将死之际，滴入药液即可苏醒。
干燥者称为鲞鱼。

突发水肿：用三条鲫鱼，去内脏留鱼鳞，用商陆、赤小豆填充并扎紧，煮烂后去掉鱼肉，只吃豆子喝汤，每两天使用一次。

肠风下血：用一枚鲫鱼，去内脏留鱼鳞，放入五倍子末，用泥封固后火煅，研成粉末，每次用酒送服一钱。也可以制成丸剂服用。

酒积下血：用酒煎煮鲫鱼常食之。

刮取鱼骨上的牙齿：用一条鲫鱼去内脏，放入砒霜在内，置于阴凉处，待表面结霜后刮下存入瓶中。用针挑开牙根，点少许药粉，咳嗽时牙齿即脱落，效果良好。
（第四）
Taste: Sweet. Nature: Neutral. Non-toxic. Treats cough with rebellious Qi (Ke Ni Shang Qi), Hong Kong foot (Xiang Gang Jiao - a term often referring to beriberi or severe edema of the feet) and jaundice, treats pregnancy edema (Ren Shen Shui Zhong), and resolves nodular accumulations in the heart region. It is most effective in promoting urination and excels at regulating Qi and water metabolism.
[Prescription 1] Pregnancy Edema: Take one large carp, cook it together with Adzuki Beans (Chi Xiao Dou). Eat the fish and drink the broth; this is highly effective.
[2] Edema: Same method as above.
[3] Severe Chronic Dysentery approaching death: Take a large carp weighing one to two *jin*. Prepare it normally with oil and salt, retaining the scales. Add three *qian* of powdered Pepper (Hu Jiao). Boil in water until cooked. Place it before the patient for them to smell. If the patient desires food, consume one *jin* of the fish along with the soup; the illness will heal spontaneously.

Taste: Bitter. Nature: Cold. Non-toxic. Applied to the eyes to reduce redness, swelling, and corneal opacities (Zhang Yi). Swallowing the saliva helps expel phlegm-saliva associated with throat obstruction (Hou Bi). Applied to burns/fire-induced sores; treats fishbone impaction in the throat.
Taste: Sweet. In cases of fatal throat obstruction (Hou Bi), applying drops restores life immediately.
Dried form is called Xiang Yu (Cured Fish).
Taste: Sweet. Nature: Neutral. Non-toxic. Stimulates appetite and aids digestion; treats acute dysentery and abdominal distension.
Taste: Sweet. Nature: Warm. Non-toxic. Warms the middle and directs Qi downward, promotes diuresis and reduces edema, stops bleeding and halts dysentery, treats sores, and alleviates infantile malnutrition (Gan Ji).
Sudden Edema: Use three crucian carp. Remove internal organs but retain scales. Stuff with Phytolacca Root (Shang Lu) and Adzuki Beans (Chi Xiao Dou), tie securely, and boil until soft. Discard the fish meat; eat only the beans and drink the juice. Repeat every two days.

Intestinal Wind Bleeding (Chang Feng Xia Xue): Use one crucian carp. Remove internal organs, retain scales. Insert powdered Chinese Gallnut (Wu Bei Zi), seal with clay, and calcine/fire-roast. Grind into powder. Take one *qian* with wine each time. Alternatively, prepare as pills.

Alcohol Accumulation Bleeding: Decoct crucian carp in wine and consume regularly.

Tooth Extraction from Bone: Use one crucian carp. Remove internal organs. Place Realgar (Pi) inside. Expose to a shady place until frost forms on the surface. Scrape off and store in a bottle. Use a needle to probe the tooth root, apply a small amount of the powder; upon coughing, the tooth will fall out. Highly effective.

Regurgitation (Fan Wei): Remove internal organs, retain scales. Insert Alum Fan Shi, seal firmly, grind into powder, and take with water.

Breast Cancer/Carbuncle with Hidden Pain (Ru Yan Yin Tong): Take flesh from a live crucian carp. Mash together with Dictamnus Root (Bai Xian Pi) and Yam (Shan Yao) into a paste. Add Agarwood (Yuan Xiang) and apply as a poultice. Change once every seven days. Do not scratch even if itching is extreme.
