鹿胶专门用于滋补，其余疗效同鹿茸。炒用。

Sweet, warm, non-toxic. Generates essence and replenishes marrow, nourishes blood and assists yang; strengthens sinews and bones, supplements qi and breaks stasis. Treats cold deficiency of the waist and kidneys, cures soreness and pain in the four limbs.
Beng (Metrorrhagia).
Crushed into flakes, soaked in honey, and baked over fire before use.
Salty, warm, non-toxic. Disperses heat and promotes blood circulation, reduces swelling and resolves pathogenic factors. Calms carbuncles and malignant sores, removes bad blood from fractures, stops seminal emission and red urine, applied topically for glossitis (swelling under the tongue) and thrush (oral candidiasis), as well as nocturnal emission during sleep.
For women suffering from nocturnal emission, take one pinch with wine to expel "ghost essence" (Pathological seminal discharge attributed to supernatural causes in ancient texts). (Verified Formula No. 1.)
For women with lower back pain, crush the material, stir-fry until yellow, powder it, and take with wine. (No. 2.)
For swelling toxins and furuncle toxins, grind into juice and apply externally. (No. 3.)
Soak in rice-washing water for seven days until soft, then soak in fast-flowing water for another seven days, remove the coarse skin, place in east-flowing water, boil over mulberry wood fire for seven days, adding water as needed, add a little vinegar, take out and pound into a frost-like consistency. The juice can be boiled with wine to form glue.
Sweet, neutral, non-toxic. Tonifies the middle and supplements qi, relieves pain and calms the fetus. Treats all blood diseases, including hematemesis, hematochezia, hematuria, metrorrhagia, and amenorrhea; cures various consumptive diseases, benefits marrow and promotes muscle growth, makes the body plump and the face radiant. Alleviates the suffering of chronic consumption and fractures, treats sores, hemorrhoids, swelling, and toxins. Clears red and white leukorrhea, aids yin to facilitate conception.
Primarily used for tonification; other therapeutic effects are similar to those of Deer Antler Velvet. Used after stir-frying.
For seminal emission and night sweats, (use Deer Antler Frost,) mixed with powder of Dragon Bone and Oyster Shell, made into pills with wine. (Verified Formula No. 1.)
For consumptive disease with spermatorrhea, (use Deer Antler Glue,) stir-fried into powder and taken with wine. (No. 2.)
For male yang deficiency, take pills made of Deer Antler Frost and Poria Cocos. (No. 3.)
Frequent urination. Same method as above. (No. 4.)
Yanghe Decoction: Deer Antler Glue (2 qian), Prepared Rehmannia Root (3 qian), Cinnamon Twig (0.5 qian), Dried Ginger (0.5 qian), Ephedra Herb (0.5 qian); lifts all yin abscesses. (First among various formulas.)
Should be ground finely, but not excessively fine. "Dangmenzi" (the core part of musk pod) is of superior quality. Nowadays, people often adulterate it with lychee seeds, which must be known.
Pungent, bitter, warm, fragrant, non-toxic. Opens orifices and penetrates collaterals, reaches bones to dispel evil, induces labor and aborts, eliminates masses and breaks stagnation. Resolves foul qi and kills "ghost essence," stops convulsions and epilepsy and resolves nightmare, treats malaria and vomits wind-phlegm, clears cornea opacity and cures deafness. Treats all types of stroke and sudden collapse due to evil qi, corrodes various carbuncles, sores, swelling, toxins, and edema. Relieves acute pain in the heart and abdomen, opens phlegm-qie reversal, treats loss of smell due to nasal congestion, and soothes poison bites. Most effective at killing parasites, also effective in detoxification.
