Treats ding sores (carbuncles), jaundice, and all damp-heat fire syndromes (Wang).
Also known as Rouhundun Cao (Meat Wonton Grass) and Jin Suoshi (Golden Lock Key). It grows in the stone crevices of ancient temple garden steps, resembling Dilianqian (Ground Covering Coin) but with wrinkled leaves; its shape is like a waist bag, green and lovely.
*Baicaojing* (Mirror of Hundred Herbs) records: Sprouts emerge in February and October, growing in cracks of scattered stones; the stem is slender, leaves are as large as Euryale Seed (Qianshi), missing in the middle, shaped like hanging bags and wontons, hence the name. It spreads along the ground, rooting at each node, propagating easily; it is abundant in the steps and scattered stones of mountain dwellings, harvested in April and October, unavailable after the season.
The nature is slightly cold; treats Huangbai Huodan (Yellow and White Fire Dan), removes damp-heat fire, used together with Shenxian Duizuo Cao (Immortal Sitting Opposite Grass). Clears the five zang organs, drops for hot eyes, stops hematemesis, washes hemorrhoids, regulates early-stage edema.
