For injuries resulting in pain in the lower abdomen radiating to the penis, this is caused by stagnant blood failing to circulate, combined with constrained fire in the Liver channel. It is appropriate to administer Xiao Chai Hu Tang (Minor Bupleurum Decoction) with added Da Huang (Rhubarb Rhizome), Huang Lian (Coptis Rhizome), and Shan Zhi (Gardenia Fruit). Once the intensity of the pain has subsided, subsequently use blood-nourishing preparations, and recovery will be assured. If this condition is mistakenly diagnosed as a cold syndrome and treated with hot-natured medicines, severe cases will become critical, while mild cases may suffer eye damage; practitioners should exercise caution.
Xiao Chai Hu Tang (Formula see General Notes on Stagnant Blood)
Injuries causing lumbar pain and spinal pain may result from falls or blows, leading to stagnant blood remaining in the Taiyang channel. It is appropriate to treat with Di Long San (Earthworm Powder).
Di Long San
Di Long (Pheretima Aspergillum) Guan Gui (Cinnamon Twig) Su Mu (Sappan Wood) [each 9 fen] Ma Huang (Ephedrae Herba) [7 fen] Huang Bo (Phellodendri Cortex) Dang Gui Wei (Angelica Sinensis Root Tail) [each 2 qian 5 fen] Tao Ren (Persicae Semen) [9 seeds] Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) [3 qian 5 fen]
Decoct these ingredients in water and take before meals.
Injuries causing dizziness and vertigo may arise from excessive use of harsh purgative or attacking medications, injuring the Middle Qi, thereby causing dizziness; or they may result from excessive blood loss, leading to dizziness. If accompanied by abdominal distension and vomiting, Liu Jun Zi Tang (Six Gentlemen Decoction) is appropriate. If accompanied by fever, thirst, and anorexia, Shi Quan Da Bu Tang (Comprehensive Great Tonifying Decoction) is appropriate.
Liu Jun Zi Tang (Formula see Chest and Abdominal Pain and Distension)
Shi Quan Da Bu Tang (Formula see General Notes on Stagnant Blood)
Injuries presenting with irritability, flushed face, dry mouth, and thirst, with a洪大 (surging/large) pulse that feels empty upon deep pressure, are suitable for Dang Gui Bu Xue Tang (Dangui Tonifying Blood Decoction). If accompanied by irritability, spontaneous sweating, and dizziness, Du Shen Tang (Single Ginseng Decoction) is appropriate. If accompanied by irritability and insomnia, Jia Wei Gui Pi Tang (Modified Spleen-Restoring Decoction) is appropriate. If accompanied by irritability and hypochondriac pain, Chai Hu Si Wu Tang (Bupleurum Four Substances Decoction) is appropriate. If irritability results from excessive blood loss, Sheng Yu Tang (Life-Sustaining Decoction) is appropriate.
Jia Wei Gui Pi Tang (Formula see Chest and Abdominal Pain and Distension)

Chai Hu Si Wu Tang (i.e., Si Wu Tang with added Chai Hu and Huang Qin. Formula see Injury Bleeding chapter)
Du Shen Tang (Formula see Injury Bleeding chapter)
Injuries manifesting as wheezing and coughing: if due to excessive blood loss, presenting with black complexion, chest fullness, and chest/diaphragm pain triggering wheezing, this indicates Qi deficiency allowing blood to ascend and assault the Lung. Urgently administer Er Wei Shen Su Yin (Two-Ingredient Ginseng and Sappan Drink); delay makes rescue difficult. If hemoptysis or epistaxis occurs with wheezing, this indicates Qi rebellion causing blood to stagnate in the Lung. Only blood-invigorating and Qi-moving methods are suitable; purgative methods must not be used. Shi Wei Shen Su Yin (Ten-Ingredient Ginseng and Sappan Drink) is appropriate.
Er Wei Shen Su Yin
Ren Shen (Panax Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) [1 liang] Su Mu (Sappan Wood) [2 liang]
