The *Jin Gui Yao Lue* states: When a woman feels as if there is a piece of roasted meat stuck in her throat, Banxia Houpo Tang (Pinellia and Magnolia Bark Decoction) should be administered. This refers to the description in the *Qian Jin Fang*: "A sensation of sticking in the throat, as if there were roasted meat; it cannot be spat out, nor can it be swallowed."
Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma, 1 sheng), Houpo (Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex, 3 liang), Fuling (Poria, 4 liang), Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, 5 liang), Ziye (Perillae Folium, 2 liang).
Decoct in water and divide into four doses; take three times during the day and once at night.
The *Jin Gui Yao Lue* states: When a woman suffers from Zang Zao (Visceral Agitation), she feels sad and wants to cry, her demeanor resembles that of being possessed by spirits, and she frequently yawns and stretches. Ganmai Dazao Tang (Licorice, Wheat, and Jujube Decoction) should be administered.
Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 3 liang), Xiaomai (Tritici Fructus, 1 jin), Dazao (Zizyphi Fructus, 10 pieces). Decoct in water and divide into three doses.
You Zaijing said: This syndrome is what Shen Shi described as uterine blood deficiency, where wind pathogen transforms into heat. Blood deficiency leads to visceral agitation, causing internal fire to disturb and the spirit to become restless. The sadness and crying resemble spiritual possession, but it is actually a deficiency syndrome. As stated in the previous chapter "Five Zang Organs Cold-Heat Accumulation and Stagnation," evil weeping causes the hun and po souls to be unsettled because blood and qi are scant and belong to the Heart. Frequent yawning is explained in the classics as the Kidney governing yawning and sneezing. Furthermore, those with Kidney disease often yawn frequently and have dark facial complexion. Generally, the five emotions generate fire, which inevitably affects the Heart; when Yin is damaged, the depletion eventually reaches the Kidney. Wheat is the grain of the Liver and effectively nourishes Heart Qi; Gancao and Dazao are sweet and moistening, generating Yin fluids, thereby nourishing the viscera and stopping their agitation.
The *Jin Gui Yao Lue* states: When a woman has coldness in the vagina, warm the interior using vaginal suppositories, with Shechuangzi San (Cnidium Powder) as the primary treatment.
Shechuangzi (Cnidii Fructus) ground into powder, mixed with a small amount of rice flour until well combined into pills the size of a jujube. Wrap in cotton and insert into the vagina; warmth will generate naturally.
The *Jin Gui Yao Lue* states: When stomach Qi descends abnormally, causing flatulence through the vagina with continuous noise (Yin Chui), this is due to excess Gu Qi (Grain Qi). Zhigao Fa Jian (Pig Fat and Hair Decoction) should be administered.
Zhigao (Suis Fat, 0.5 jin), Luafa (Human Hair, three pieces the size of a chicken egg). Simmer together in the fat until the hair dissolves and the medicine is ready. Divide into two doses.
Wang Mengying noted: Yin Chui (vaginal flatulence) is also a common occurrence in women; if there is no other discomfort, it is not considered a disease. Moreover, since it is a hidden and subtle symptom, physicians are often unaware of it. Folklore claims that consuming green onions within one month postpartum will inevitably cause this condition. It is only called a disease when the noise is excessively loud and accompanied by dry, difficult defecation. However, Zhang Zhongjing merely moistened the dryness of the Yangming channel, allowing the Fu organ Qi to flow freely, thus making specific treatment for the flatulence unnecessary.
