[Diagram of Mingmen Location]
Tianzhong, Tianting, Sikong, Yintang, and the broad square areas of the forehead corners: if diseased, life or death is determined. Cyan and black indicate convulsions and severe conditions; the body should be smooth and lustrous, not sunken. Combined damage with pure black indicates a difficult-to-treat disease. Cyan implies extreme anxiety and urgency; dullness and darkness are also harmful. This is the location of Mingmen (Gate of Life), which few physicians can accurately assess.
