The above is *Lingshu Shi* (Commentary on the Lingshu), six volumes, written by my late grandfather. Previously, only manuscript copies were circulated. My father deeply regretted that its transmission was not widespread and intended to publish it as a printed book to make it available to the public. He then consulted with my elder brother Ji (佶) and ordered us, Ji (佶) and Yan (琰), to carefully revise and correct the text based on the draft manuscripts kept in our family collection. Before we could send it to press, both my father and elder brother unfortunately passed away one after another. We, though of mediocre talent, presumptuously inherited this duty, constantly fearing that this project would drag on without completion, failing to fulfill our ancestors' wishes. Coincidentally, a new movable type printing bureau opened within the medical community. We thus entrusted Qianhe (Jiuzheng), Yu Yu (Ruixin), and Yuan Chang (Yuanchang), the adopted son of Ji (佶), among others, to mutually proofread the text. It was then printed using movable type and bound into several sets. We hope it will run parallel with *Suwen Shi* (Commentary on the Suwen), serving as a ferry for those studying this classic. Although it may not be as exquisite as woodblock printing, it nonetheless reflects the intention of my father and elder brother to promote their ancestor's posthumous work. I have examined this classic against the *Taisu Jing* (Classic of Great Simplicity); their meanings are relatively clear, and there are instances where no side references or tortuous proofs are needed. Some explanations from previous scholars seem like "extra toes and branches" (superfluous and useless additions). It is a pity that the book did not appear at that time; had it been published during my grandfather's lifetime, how extensive would his辨正 (analysis, correction, and supplementation) have been? The engraving is now complete. I attach these words so that future students may have something to reference.
