Baojian Longnao Anshen Wan (Treasure Mirror Borneol Calming the Spirit Pill) treats epilepsy of all types in both men and women, regardless of duration or irregular onset.
Fushen (Poria with Hostwood, 3 liang), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Digupi (Lycii Cortex), Gancao (Licorice Root), Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Tuber), Sangbaipi (Mori Cortex) (each 2 liang), Mayaxiao (Sodium Nitrate, 2 qian), Longnao (Borneol), Shexiang (Moschus) (each 3 qian), Niuhuang (Calculus Bovis, 0.5 liang), Zhusha (Cinnabaris, 2 qian), Wuxi (Rhinoceros Horn, 1 liang), Jinbo (Gold Leaf, 35 pieces).
The above herbs are ground into a fine powder, mixed with refined honey to form pills the size of a large bullet, coated with gold leaf. For Fengxian (Wind Epilepsy), dissolve in warm water for administration in winter, and in cool water in summer; administer at any time. Children aged two or three years should take it twice daily; one pill for infants should be divided into two doses. For deficiency consumption with fever and cough, dissolve in freshly drawn cold water.
Note: This formula consists of herbs belonging to the Hand-Shaoyin Heart Meridian and Hand-Taiyin Lung Meridian, derived from the treatment principles of the Jueyin Liver category.

Shenying Dan (Divine Efficacy Pill) treats various forms of epilepsy.
Chensha (Cinnabaris, quantity as needed, ground).
Mix the above herb with pig heart blood, wrap in steamed dough, steam until cooked, remove, and shape into pills the size of tung tree seeds. Take one pill per dose, administered after meals and before bedtime with Ginseng Decoction.
Note: This formula consists of herbs belonging to the Hand-Shaoyin Heart Meridian, derived from the Cinnabar treatment principles within the Jueyin Liver category.

Qianshi Se Wan (Master Qian's Five-Color Pill)
Zhusha (Cinnabaris, 0.5 liang, ground), Shuiyin (Hydrargyrum, 1 fen), Xionghuang (Realgar, 1 liang, processed), Zhenzhumo (Pearl Powder, 1 liang, ground), Qian (Plumbum, 3 liang, processed with Hydrargyrum).
The above herbs are mixed with refined honey to form pills the size of hemp seeds. Take three to four pills per dose with Yinjin Bohe Tang (Silver and Mint Decoction).

Sanyin Liuzhen Dan (Three Causes Six Precious Pills) treats Fengxian (Wind Epilepsy) causing mental aberration, confusion, extreme distress, or producing sounds resembling five domestic animals, accompanied by convulsions and foaming at the mouth, with recovery only after a long period.
Xionghuang (Realgar), Cihuang (Orpiment), Weizuan Zhenzhu (Unperforated Pearl) (each 1 liang), Qian (Plumbum, 2 liang, processed into flakes), Dansha (Cinnabaris, 0.5 liang), Shuiyin (Hydrargyrum, 1.5 liang).
Grind the above herbs until extremely uniform, mix with honey to form pills the size of tung tree seeds. Take three to five pills per dose with Ginger and Jujube Decoction.
The mixture must be pounded twenty to thirty thousand times before it can be shaped into pills.

Fandan (Alum Cinnabar Pill) treats five types of Dian (Manic Depression) and five types of Xian (Epilepsy), regardless of Yin/Yang or Cold/Heat patterns.
Guodan (Guo Cinnabar), Jinfan (Jin Alum) (each 1 liang).
Carve a pit in a brick capable of holding approximately two taels of material. Place the cinnabar at the bottom first, then place the alum on top. Calcine using five jin of charcoal until the charcoal is consumed. Remove, grind finely, and bind with pig heart blood that has not been washed with water to form pills the size of mung beans. Take ten to twenty pills per dose with Tangerine Peel Decoction.

Yuanrong Erbai Wan (Yuanrong Two-Whites Pill)
Baifan (Alumen, one piece, approx. 1 liang).
Wrap the above herb in raw steamed dough, steam until cooked, peel off the skin. When ready to form pills, add Qingfen (Calomel) one zi or half qian, adjusting dosage according to the patient's deficiency or excess condition. Shape into pills the size of tung tree seeds. Take twenty to thirty pills per dose with Ginger Decoction. Make smaller pills for children.

Zihe Zhengsha Gunxian San (Hezi Cinnabar Rolling Phlegm Powder) treats five types of epilepsy.
Zhusha (Cinnabaris), Baifan (Alumen, raw use), Chishizhi (Halloysitum Rubrum), Xiaoshi (Natrii Sulfas) (equal parts).
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder, mix with garlic paste to form pills the size of mung beans. Take thirty pills per dose with Schizonepeta Decoction after meals.

Baojian Hupo Shouxing Wan (Treasure Mirror Amber Longevity Star Pill)
Tiannanxing (Arisaematis Tuber, 1 jin): Dig a pit, burn with fire until the pit glows red, remove charcoal ash, pour 1 sheng of good wine into the fire pit, place Tiannanxing inside, cover the pit tightly to prevent gas leakage, leave overnight, then remove, dry, and grind into powder.
Zhuzi (Pearls, 4 liang), Zhusha (Cinnabaris, 2.5 liang, used for coating).
Mix the above with pig heart blood and ginger juice paste to form pills the size of tung tree seeds. Take fifty pills per dose with Ginseng Decoction on an empty stomach, three times daily.
