Empirical Prescription: Wash away the yellowish blood stasis left by teeth with hot urine, then chew raw chestnuts (Castanea mollissima) until extremely soft and apply them to the wound. If swelling and pain occur, fumigate the affected area with a paper wick soaked in sesame oil (Sesamum indicum Oleum) and ignited.
Another Prescription: Apply chicken excrement (Gallus gallus domesticus Faeces) to the bitten site; it stops pain immediately and prevents suppuration.
Another Prescription: Pack dry human feces (Homo sapiens Faeces) inside lychee shells (Litchi chinensis Pericarpium), place on the bite, and moxibustion with moxa cones (Artemisia argyi Folium) is applied until pain ceases.
Another Prescription: Chew raw chestnuts together with rice until soft, and apply thickly to the wound.
Another Prescription (from *Bencao Gangmu*): Burn turtle carapace or tortoise plastron (Chinemys reevesii Plastrum) into ash for application, or mix with oil for rubbing.
If fingers are bitten open with unbearable pain, which may lead to rotting and shedding of fingers and palms over time: Immerse the injured finger in a bottle of human urine overnight for self-healing.
Hand bitten: Chew white radish leaves (Raphanus sativus Var. Longipinnatus Folium) and apply.
Infected with "Ya Huang" (Tooth Yellow) toxicity from biting.
Mouse feces (seven grains with pointed ends), Lychee flesh (one fruit), Red sugar (Saccharum officinarum) pounded evenly and applied; the "Ya Huang" toxin will be drawn out onto the dressing.
Qisheng San (Seven-Sage Powder) (created by Hu Xuehai): Treats broken skin and ulceration from human bites.
Ingredients: Human feces (calcined to retain efficacy, 3 qian), Raw Rhubarb (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), Flower Corundum (Huaruishi), Aragonite (Luganshi) (each 2 qian), Calomel (Qingfen), Licorice Root (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (1.5 qian), Borneol (Bingpian) (0.5 fen).
Grind all ingredients into an extremely fine powder and rub/apply.
Blood Stasis Attacking the Heart due to Falling from Height:
For falling from height resulting in blood stasis attacking the heart, decoct one he of fermented soybean (Sojae Semen Praeparatum) in water and drink. Or, mix ginger juice (Zingiberis Recens Rhizoma Juice) with sesame oil, warm, and take. Alternatively, steam five sheng of clean soil until cooked, wrap tightly in old cloth to make two packs, and alternate applying as hot compresses until pain stops. If breath is absent and condition critical, pry open the mouth and pour in hot urine; blow powder of Pinellia Tuber (Pinelliae Rhizoma) into the nose; apply moxibustion to the navel; have the victim sit cross-legged, pull their hair upward to promote ascending Qi, which can save their life.
Chen Yuan Gong stated: After falling from height, if unconscious and unresponsive, people assume it is evil blood rushing to the heart. However, it is actually Qi being obstructed by Blood! Traumatic injuries often involve blood stasis attacking the heart, but sudden falls do not necessarily disturb the Heart Mind. Only when falling from height does the shock cause palpitations and fear of death, creating a mental state of expecting death before physical injury occurs. This differs from tripping, where the Heart Mind is not initially disturbed. Thus, Qi and Blood become chaotic, leading to coma and death. The treatment should expel blood stasis while assisting the circulation of Qi. Then blood disperses easily and Qi opens. If only blood stasis is attacked without addressing Qi, Qi remains closed and blocked, yielding no benefit. Suqi Decoction (Revive-Qi Decoction): Frankincense Resin (Resina Olibanum), Myrrh (Resina Myrrhae), Raw Rhubarb (each 1 qian), Goat Blood (Capra Hircus Sanguis) (0.5 fen), Perilla Leaf (Perillae Folium), Schizonepeta Spike (Schizonepetae Spica), Moutan Bark (Moutan Cortex) (each 3 qian), Angelica Root (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), White Peony Root (Paeoniae Radix Alba), Daphne Odorata Stem (Daphnes Odoratae Caulis) (each 5 qian), Peach Kernel (Persicae Semen) (14 grains). Decoct in water, mix, and administer. One dose revives Qi, three doses circulate Blood and cure completely. (This formula combines reviving Qi and activating Blood, hence its rapid effect. Its brilliance lies in using Daphne Odorata Stem with Perilla Leaf and Schizonepeta Spike; since Qi is chaotic, disrupting it further helps activate Blood and revive Qi.)
Chen Shigong stated: For falls from height without skin or flesh damage, blood stasis must flow into the Zang-Fu organs, causing lethargy and unconsciousness, along with difficulty in urination and defecation. Dacheng Decoction (Da Cheng Tang) promotes bowel movements and urination, leading to recovery. If unresponsive, use Single Ginseng Decoction (Du Shen Tang) for rescue. For minor falls, Honghua Huoxue Decoction (Red Flower Blood-Activating Decoction) is used for regulation. (From *Waike Zhengzong*)
Qian Qinglun stated: For falls from height or horse-riding accidents causing blood rush and near-death states, cold water must be strictly avoided. Immediately administer chive juice (Allium tuberosum Juice) or hot urine orally. (From *Danfang Yaoji*)
For falls from height: Blow powder of Raw Pinellia Tuber (Pinelliae Rhizoma) into the nostrils. To awaken consciousness, mix ginger juice with pure sesame oil and administer. Then, burn dried lotus leaf (Nelumbinis Folium) to ash, mix with hot urine, and take 3 qian per dose, three times daily for self-healing. (Appendix to *Ganying Pian Zhuzheng*)
