上为细末，炼蜜为丸。盐汤送下三钱。

真阴亏乏，眼目昏花，或云翳遮睛。

羊肝明目丸
羚羊角 白菊花（去叶蒂） 北五味 青葙子 牡丹皮（各一两） 白蒺藜（炒去刺） 密蒙
花嫩黄 （蜜拌炒） 远志肉（甘草汤浸焙） 天门冬 麦门冬（去心） 白芍药（酒炒） 菟丝子（各
一两五钱） 酸枣仁（炒） 杜仲（盐水拌炒断丝） 白茯苓（乳拌三次） 于白术（东壁土炒） 怀山药
（炒） 人参（各二两） 黑羊肝（一具、去净膜） 泽泻（盐水拌
炒，八钱） 当归身（酒洗，二两五钱） 生地黄（用砂仁五钱、同酒煮烂捣膏） 香附子（童便浸一宿晒干，
用醋拌炒，各四两）
黑羊肝用木木贼草二两同酒煮烂，去木贼草将肝同上药磨细末，炼蜜为丸，每
早白汤送下三钱，每晚白酒送下二钱。
幼年肾虚眼花。
北五味（打匾、焙） 麦门冬（焙，各二两） 甘枸杞（黑芝麻同炒、去芝麻） 白蒺藜（隔纸炒）
钗石斛（酒蒸焙，各四两） 鱼膘（一斤，切、蛤粉炒成珠）

中年眼目昏花
蔓荆子（煮熟炒、晒干研去油） 草决明（微炒，各十二两）
研细，用沙苑蒺藜半斤，熬膏杵丸，食远白汤送下二钱。
退翳障并治赤眼 熊胆少许，净水略调开，取去筋膜尘土，入冰片一二分，如
痒泪加生姜汁少许，以铜箸蘸点。
眼生外障，视物昏黑 猪胆一个，倾入银器中微火熬膏，加冰片少许点。
又方 猪胆外膜晒干捻线 灰，加冰片研细点之。
眼珠上白星。
东丹（一分） 轻粉 麝香（各五厘）
研极细，左眼吹右鼻孔，右眼吹左鼻孔。
眼目生星，临时得者可退 白蒺藜三钱，水煎洗之三日即无星。
外障翳膜昏烂眼药
宣黄连 甘菊花 当归（各一钱） 黑山栀 黄芩 连翘 木贼草 黄柏 荆芥穗
防风（各五分） 大黄（二钱）
共入砂锅内加童便七碗煎浓汁，去渣作七分，以芦甘石四两研为细末，入铜勺
内炒热，入药汁一分滚干，又投汁一分滚干，如次七次已毕，研极细，加硼砂、灯
心各一钱，牛黄、雄黄各三分，珍珠五分，同研千余下，再加熊胆五分，冰片、麝香
各一分，自然霜一钱，又研无声为度，瓷瓶密贮，挑少许点大眼角，一日三次，连
点七日。（制自然霜法∶新砖一块磨光，以桑柴烧红，放于平处，皮硝一升洒热砖上，待硝吃尽冷定，用布一块
裹砖缝好，投粪窖内三七日满取出，冷水洗净，用大棉纸包好，放洁净处，候砖上生白霜，以鹅翎扫收。
翳障 人指甲刮末，人乳调点。
病后生翳，大人小儿皆宜（《救急方》）白菊花、蝉蜕等分为末，入蜜少许，水煎服。
杏仁膏 药匾杏仁一粒去皮、尖，细瓷器内研细，滴热人乳二三滴，浸片时绞
去渣，点眼角内数次，翳即去矣。
鹅翎丹 诸种目疾屡试神效，兼治眼漏亦效。
粉芦甘石（三两，用川连二两，龙胆草二两煎汁，待甘石 赤淬汁内，以酥为度，研如飞尘。仍投前汁内
晒干） 官硼砂（二钱） 新珍珠（一钱） 真血珀 片脑 熊胆（各五分）
上各味研至无声，即入前汁内，搓成如线细条晾干，以鹅翎管贮，用时取一条
夹眼角内自化沁入，一条可治数人。
点眼
蕤仁（去净油，一两，用秦皮煎汤，洒湿安平底碗内，用艾圆三枚，各包川椒一粒捻着熏之，再放瓦上
干，研极细入后药。） 朱砂（飞、一钱） 硼砂（五钱） 麝香（五分）
共研极细点之，闭目一炷香为度。
点眼
芦甘石（三钱） 新珠子 硼砂（口含、吐去涩水） 琥珀（各七分） 真蟾酥（烘去油） 冰片（各一分）
儿茶（烘去油，三分） 麝香（二分） 朱砂 磁粉（ 红淬入乳黄连汁内七次，各五分）
上各乳至无声为度，和匀点之。
眼生萝卜花神方 取极大白萝卜一枚剜空，入鸡子白一枚，种土内待其开花结子后取起，取出鸡子白研
细，加芦甘石 过一钱，熊胆五分，冰片一分五厘，研绝细末，以蜜和点眼。一日一次，七日全好。

又研，棉纸筛） 熊胆 朱砂 梅片 再研千转以无声为度，瓷瓶密贮，每用少许点两
眼角内，或用乌羊胆汁调收，亦妙。
七十二种眼证眼药

疳疾眼生翳膜，并肚大泄泻，面黄肌瘦神效。（周鹤仙）
肉果（面包煨，二个） 使君子（去壳、五个） 胡黄连 白蒺藜（炒去刺） 芦荟（各一钱）
共为末，鸡肝一具，酒浆少许同捣烂去渣，入前药末调匀，蒸熟食之。吃二三服立愈。
疳疾并出痘坏目神方（青浦徐氏传）
密蒙花（酒洗净） 谷精草 蝉蜕（去翅、足） 望月砂（各一两）
共为末，用雄猪肚一个，竹刀剖开，将药末掺入，水煮熟，饮汁食肚，尽一料全愈。
拨云锭子（刘长随从都中盘山得来） 治一切眼疾，又有开瞽复明，神效。
芦甘石（将芦甘石拣去隔石，选洁白者，先以纸包石，用醋坛头上泥入桶内，以童便侵透炼熟，少少糊在
纸外，又以火硝末滚在泥球上，外再以浓泥包圆。大约芦甘石一斤，可分作四五个球，每一斤芦甘石，用火硝
一两研细滚之四五个球为度，球成晒干。如有缝以泥补之。另以砖砌一大炉，架火将球放炭火上炼一天申刻，火
将完，可将球取起翻转入炉，添火加炭，过夜不必守之，随炉中炭火化完为度。一炉可炼芦甘石二三斤，每芦甘
石四两，用川黄连，龙胆草各五钱，河水五碗浸一夜，煎数沸，去渣滤净清，将芦甘石 红倾入药汁内取起，又
又淬，以汁尽为度。药水内落下芦甘石，再炖干药水，俱取入芦甘石内为炒。每料只用制芦石三钱。）再加熊
胆（五分） 冰片（二分五厘） 白硼砂（三分） 麝香（五厘） 朱砂（水飞、三分） 活乌鸦翎（二寸二分、 ）
上为细末，用川芎、当归、赤芍药、生地、薄荷、防风、防己、川黄连、甘菊花、
龙胆草各五钱，木贼草、黄芩、黄柏、羌活、大黄、白芷各二钱，河水六碗浸一日
夜，炭火熬出汁来，去渣澄清沥净，再用文火熬成膏。和前药末和匀，搓成条子重
二分，用鹅毛管收藏，黄蜡塞口。
凡点眼时，以清水或人乳或津唾润湿点眼，闭目少刻神效，临卧点之更妙。或
用人乳化开，涂眼胞上下，揉入眼内。多涂过夜，即日见效。
羊肝退翳丸 治雀盲眼，一切昏花老眼。
怀生地 熟地黄 白茯神（人乳拌蒸晒） 怀山药（炒，各三两） 甘枸杞 夜明沙（淘净，各四
两） 木贼草（蜜水拌炒） 密蒙花（蜜拌炒） 青葙子（各二两） 草决明（二两五钱，捶碎用水浸拌炒）
川黄连（八钱，白酒浸一宿微炒） 黑羊肝（一具，蒸熟去外膜）
将前药为粗末，同羊肝捣匀再烘晒令干，再磨为细末，用炼蜜为丸如桐子大，每
服二三钱，空心淡盐汤送下。忌萝卜、胡椒、鸡鸭蛋。
黑珠凹下蟹睛 鳝鱼血晒干研细，以笔蘸点三次全愈。
退翳 鲜鹅不食草（又名土芫荽）揉软塞鼻退翳最速，如无鲜者，阴干揉塞亦可。
但初塞必喷涕不已，不必疑惧。
赤眼翳膜（葛仙翁）大诃子一枚，白蜜磨点。
小儿麸翳未坚者，不可混点眼药珊瑚研如粉，每日少少点之自愈。
退翳羊肝丸（张九皋）
夜明砂 木贼草 白蒺藜（炒去刺） 蝉蜕 当归（各二两）
共为细末，用蒸熟黑羊肝二两切片晒燥为末，水法叠丸，每服三钱，开水送下。
退翳神方
木贼草（火 ） 石决明（火 ） 谷精草（火 ，各一两） 黑羊肝（一具，用铜刀切片放蒸笼内蒸熟，以
麻线串挂阴干，不可经铁器）
共为细末，每早晚用红糖汤送下。
眼药

共乳极细点之。其筋膜即下；重者渐落。
眼药
海螵蛸（洗净泥沙，刮去硬甲，用黄连、黄柏、黄芩、大黄各等分，煎汁煮螵蛸，取起晒干。）
研细加冰片点之。
清肝补肾羚羊丸（陈尚书） 治少年老年眼目视物不明者。
羚羊角（一枚，镑研，纸包缚有乳妇人乳上一宿，次日研，一两） 青盐（二两， ） 犀角尖（五钱，制同羚

犍猪肝一具煮熟捣万下，和丸。每服二钱，空心白汤送下。
老年眼昏（何龙泉）谷精草不拘多少，切成段，同黑羊肝一具切片入铜小锅内，每
早老人自己炒之。其味入鼻，眼昏自亮。
琥珀膏 点七十二眼证。
蕤仁（去油膜、二两） 大珍珠 琥珀 象牙末 朱砂（水飞） 白硼砂（各二钱） 元明粉（二
钱五分） 麝香 冰片（各一分）
共乳极细，炼白蜜调膏点之。
珊瑚膏 治二十年昏眼，能见日光灯头者可治。

琥珀散 治诸般外障红赤羞明，风热火眼，血缕 疮翳膜，眼弦烂生眵流泪。

推云散 治诸般外障，云翳蟹睛，血翳赤膜。

白菊花、望月砂、草决明、茺蔚子、白蒺藜、夜明砂（各等分）。
研细，用炼蜜制成如弹子大小的丸剂，用白开水调服。

黑羊肝用木贼草二两同酒煮烂，去木贼草，将羊肝与上述药物磨成细末，用炼蜜制成丸剂。每早用白开水送服三钱，每晚用白酒送服二钱。
幼年肾虚眼花。

密蒙花（酒洗净），谷精草，蝉蜕（去翅、足），望月砂（各一两）。
共为末，用雄猪肚一个，竹刀剖开，将药末掺入，水煮熟，饮汁食肚，尽一料全愈。
拨云锭子（刘长随从都中盘山得来）
治一切眼疾，又有开瞽复明，神效。
芦甘石（将芦甘石拣去隔石，选洁白者，先以纸包石，用醋坛头上泥入桶内，以童便侵透炼熟，少少糊在纸外，又以火硝末滚在泥球上，外再以浓泥包圆。大约芦甘石一斤，可分作四五个球，每一斤芦甘石，用火硝一两研细滚之四五个球为度，球成晒干。如有缝以泥补之。另以砖砌一大炉，架火将球放炭火上炼一天申刻，火将完，可将球取起翻转入炉，添火加炭，过夜不必守之，随炉中炭火化完为度。一炉可炼芦甘石二三斤，每芦甘石四两，用川黄连，龙胆草各五钱，河水五碗浸一夜，煎数沸，去渣滤净清，将芦甘石红倾入药汁内取起，又又淬，以汁尽为度。药水内落下芦甘石，再炖干药水，俱取入芦甘石内为炒。每料只用制芦石三钱。）再加熊胆（五分），冰片（二分五厘），白硼砂（三分），麝香（五厘），朱砂（水飞、三分），活乌鸦翎（二寸二分、 ）。
以上为细末，用川芎、当归、赤芍药、生地、薄荷、防风、防己、川黄连、甘菊花、龙胆草各五钱，木贼草、黄芩、黄柏、羌活、大黄、白芷各二钱，河水六碗浸一日夜，炭火熬出汁来，去渣澄清沥净，再用文火熬成膏。和前药末和匀，搓成条子重二分，用鹅毛管收藏，黄蜡塞口。
凡点眼时，以清水或人乳或津唾润湿点眼，闭目少刻神效，临卧点之更妙。或用人乳化开，涂眼胞上下，揉入眼内。多涂过夜，即日见效。
羊肝退翳丸
治雀盲眼，一切昏花老眼。
怀生地，熟地黄，白茯神（人乳拌蒸晒），怀山药（炒，各三两），甘枸杞，夜明沙（淘净，各四两），木贼草（蜜水拌炒），密蒙花（蜜拌炒），青葙子（各二两），草决明（二两五钱，捶碎用水浸拌炒），川黄连（八钱，白酒浸一宿微炒），黑羊肝（一具，蒸熟去外膜）。
将前药为粗末，同羊肝捣匀再烘晒令干，再磨为细末，用炼蜜为丸如桐子大，每服二三钱，空心淡盐汤送下。忌萝卜、胡椒、鸡鸭蛋。
退翳
鲜鹅不食草（又名土芫荽）揉软塞鼻退翳最速，如无鲜者，阴干揉塞亦可。但初塞必喷涕不已，不必疑惧。
退翳羊肝丸（张九皋）
夜明砂，木贼草，白蒺藜（炒去刺），蝉蜕，当归（各二两）。
共为细末，用蒸熟黑羊肝二两切片晒燥为末，水法叠丸，每服三钱，开水送下。
退翳神方
木贼草（火 ），石决明（火 ），谷精草（火 ，各一两），黑羊肝（一具，用铜刀切片放蒸笼内蒸熟，以麻线串挂阴干，不可经铁器）。
共为细末，每早晚用红糖汤送下。
眼药
芦甘石（ 淬，黄连汤中七次），珍珠（各一钱）。
白硼砂，牛黄，琥珀，冰片，雄黄，熊胆（各五分），苏薄荷叶，朱砂（各三分）。
共乳极细点之。其筋膜即下；重者渐落。
眼药
海螵蛸（洗净泥沙，刮去硬甲，用黄连、黄柏、黄芩、大黄各等分，煎汁煮螵蛸，取起晒干。）
研细加冰片点之。
清肝补肾羚羊丸（陈尚书）
治少年老年眼目视物不明者。
羚羊角（一枚，镑研，纸包缚有乳妇人乳上一宿，次日研，一两），青盐（二两， ），犀角尖（五钱，制同羚羊角法），百草霜（飞细、三钱）。
犍猪肝一具煮熟捣万下，和丸。每服二钱，空心白汤送下。
老年眼昏（何龙泉）
谷精草不拘多少，切成段，同黑羊肝一具切片入铜小锅内，每早老人自己炒之。其味入鼻，眼昏自亮。
琥珀膏
点七十二眼证。
蕤仁（去油膜、二两），大珍珠，琥珀，象牙末，朱砂（水飞），白硼砂（各二钱），元明粉（二钱五分），麝香，冰片（各一分）。
共乳极细，炼白蜜调膏点之。
珊瑚膏
治二十年昏眼，能见日光灯头者可治。

Grind finely, mix with refined honey to make pills the size of bullet seeds. Take with warm water.

Boil the black sheep liver with 2 liang Muzeicao in wine until soft, remove Muzeicao, mash the liver with the above herbs into a fine powder, mix with refined honey to make pills. Take 3 qian with warm water every morning, and 2 qian with white wine every night.

Grind finely, make honey pills. Take 3 qian with light salt water every morning.
Middle-aged Blurred Vision
Manjingzi (Fructus Viticis, cooked, stir-fried, dried, ground to remove oil), Caojueming (Semen Cassiae, lightly stir-fried, each 12 liang).
Grind finely, use half a jin of Shayuanjili (Seed of Astragalus complanatus) boiled into a paste to form pills. Take 2 qian with warm water long after meals.
Remove Corneal Opacity and Treat Red Eye
Bear Gallbladder (Xiongdan) a small amount, dilute slightly with clean water, remove fascia and dust, add Bingpian (Borneol) 1-2 fen. If itching and tearing are severe, add a little Ginger Juice. Dip a chopstick and apply to the eye.

Baijili (Fructus Tribuli) 3 qian, decoct in water and wash eyes for three days until stars disappear.
Eye Drops for External Obstruction, Opacity, Blurring, and Ulceration
Xuan Huanglian (Scrophularia Rhizome), Gan Juhua (Sweet Chrysanthemum), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis) (each 1 qian), Heishanzhi (Fructus Gardeniae, charred), Huangqin (Radix Scutellariae), Lianqiao (Fructus Forsythiae), Muzeicao (Herba Equiseti Arvensis), Huangbai (Cortex Phellodendri), Jingjie (Herba Schizonepetae), Fangfeng (Radix Saposhnikoviae) (each 5 fen), Dahuang (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei) (2 qian).
Place all in a clay pot with seven bowls of Tongbian (Children's Urine), boil down to a thick juice, filter residue to obtain 0.7 bowl. Grind Luganshi (Halloysitum Rubrum) 4 liang into fine powder, heat in a copper spoon, add one part of the medicine juice until dry, repeat adding juice and drying seven times. Grind extremely fine, add Pengsha (Borax) and Dengxin (Acorus Calamus Stem Center) each 1 qian, Niuhuang (Calculus Bovis) and Xionghuang (Realgar) each 3 fen, Zhenzhu (Pearl) 5 fen, grind together over a thousand times. Add Xiongdan (Bear Gallbladder) 5 fen, Bingpian (Borneol) and Shexiang (Musk) each 1 fen, Ziran Shuang (Natural Frost) 1 qian, grind until silent. Store tightly in a porcelain bottle. Apply a small amount to the outer canthus three times a day for seven days. (Method for making Natural Frost: Polish a new brick, heat red with mulberry wood fire, place on level ground, sprinkle one sheng of Pingxiao (Mirabilite) on the hot brick. When absorbed and cooled, wrap brick seams with cloth, bury in a manure pit for 21 days. Remove, wash with cold water, wrap in large cotton paper, store in a clean place. Wait for white frost to grow on the brick, sweep it up with a goose feather.)

Ruren (Semen Pruni Armeniacae, remove oil completely, 1 liang, decoct Qinpi in water, moisten Ruren, place in flat bowl, smoke with three moxa cones each containing one Sichuan pepper grain, dry on tile, grind extremely fine and add following drugs), Zhusha (Cinnabar, purified, 1 qian), Pengsha (Borax, 5 qian), Shexiang (Musk, 5 fen).
Grind extremely fine and apply. Keep eyes closed for the time it takes to burn one incense stick.

Luganshi (Halloysitum Rubrum, 3 qian), Xin Zhu (New Pearl), Pengsha (Borax, hold in mouth, spit out astringent water), Hupo (Amber) (each 7 fen), Zhen Chansu (Toad Venom, baked to remove oil), Bingpian (Borneol) (each 1 fen), Ercha (Katechu, baked to remove oil, 3 fen), Shexiang (Musk, 2 fen), Zhusha (Cinnabar), Cifen (Magnetite, quenched red in Milk Huanglian juice seven times, each 5 fen).
Grind each ingredient until silent, mix evenly and apply.
Divine Formula for "Radish Flower" in Eye
Take a very large white radish, hollow it out, insert one egg white, plant in soil. After it flowers and sets seed, harvest. Mash the egg white finely, add Luganshi (Halloysitum Rubrum) over 1 qian, Xiongdan (Bear Gallbladder) 5 fen, Bingpian (Borneol) 1.5 fen, grind to absolute fine powder, mix with honey and apply to eyes. Once a day, fully healed in seven days.
Remove Opacity (by Luo Jian Shan)
Yemingcha (Strigis Faeces), Wumingyi (Ilmenite), Longdancao (Radix Gentianae), Qinggefen (Green Clam Powder), Gujingcao (Herba Eyebright) (each 3 qian), Lvhua (Aloe) (1 qian).
Grind each into powder. Take one Hepian Zhu (Dog Liver), keep dry, slice with bamboo knife, remove sinews. Scatter herb powders into liver, sew with thread, steam or boil in clay pot until liver is cooked. Eat the liver. Avoid raw/cold foods, scallions, garlic, peppers, ginger, and "fa wu" (stimulating foods).
Qingxin Mingmu Wan (Clear Heart Brighten Eye Pill) (from *Jisheng*)
Tonifies heart, nourishes blood, clears spirit, enhances wisdom, moistens lungs, opens orifices, brightens ears and eyes.

Orbital pain, liver deficiency causing photophobia.

Boil ten bowls of clear water to a thick juice, filter residue, put into copper pot, add 1 liang Wen Yin (Pattern Silver), boil using vapor until sugar-color, cool and solidify. Add:

Wrap stone in paper, paste with mud from vinegar jar into a bucket, soak thoroughly in Tongbian (Children's Urine), refine熟 (cook/heat), paste thinly on outside of paper. Roll in Huoxiao (Saltpeter) powder, wrap in thick mud to form balls. Approx. 1 jin Luganshi makes 4-5 balls. For each jin Luganshi, use 1 liang Huoxiao ground fine, roll onto 4-5 balls. Dry balls. Repair cracks with mud. Build a large brick furnace, place balls on charcoal fire, smelt for one yin-shen period (approx. 4 hours). When fire is dying, turn balls over in furnace, add fire and charcoal, leave overnight until charcoal burns out. One furnace can smelt 2-3 jin Luganshi. For every 4 liang Luganshi, use Chuan Huanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis) and Longdancao (Radix Gentianae) each 5 qian, soak in 5 bowls river water overnight, boil several times, filter residue. Pour red-hot Luganshi into medicine juice, remove, quench again until juice is exhausted. Dry remaining Luganshi in medicine juice, collect as "stir-fried". Each dose uses only 3 qian of processed Luganshi. Add: Xiongdan (Bear Gallbladder, 5 fen), Bingpian (Borneol, 2.5 fen), Bai Pengsha (White Borax, 3 fen), Shexiang (Musk, 5 fen), Zhusha (Cinnabar, water-classified, 3 fen), Huo Wuya Ling (Live Crow Feather, 2.2 cun).
Grind into fine powder. Use Chuanxiong, Danggui, Chishaoyao, Shengdi, Bohe, Fangfeng, Fangji, Chuan Huanglian, Gan Juhua, Longdancao each 5 qian, Muzeicao, Huangqin, Huangbai, Qianghuo, Dahuang, Baizhi each 2 qian. Soak in 6 bowls river water for one day and night, boil over charcoal fire to extract juice, filter residue clearly. Simmer gently into paste. Mix with herb powder, roll into strips weighing 2 fen. Store in goose feather tubes, seal with yellow wax.
When applying, moisten eyes with clear water, human milk, or saliva, close eyes briefly for miraculous effect, best applied before bed. Or dissolve in human milk, apply to upper and lower eyelids, rub into eye. Apply heavily overnight, effective next day.
Yanggan Tuiyi Wan (Sheep Liver Opacity-Removing Pill)
Treats Night Blindness, all types of blurred vision and old age eyes.
Huaidisheng (Radix Rehmanniae), Shudihuang (Prepared Radix Rehmanniae), Baifushen (Poria with Hostwood, mixed with milk, steamed and dried), Huaishanyao (Rhizoma Dioscoreae, stir-fried, each 3 liang), Gangouqi (Fructus Lycii), Yemingcha (Strigis Faeces, washed clean, each 4 liang), Muzeicao (Herba Equiseti Arvensis, mixed with honey water and stir-fried), Mimenghua (Flos Myricariae, mixed with honey and stir-fried), Qingxiangzi (Semen Celosiae, each 2 liang), Caojueming (Semen Cassiae, 2.5 liang, crushed, soaked in water and stir-fried), Chuan Huanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis, 8 qian, soaked in white wine overnight, lightly stir-fried), Hei Yanggan (Black Sheep Liver, one piece, steamed, remove outer membrane).
Grind herbs into coarse powder, mash with sheep liver, dry again, grind into fine powder, mix with refined honey to make pills the size of tung tree seeds. Take 2-3 qian on empty stomach with light salt water. Avoid radish, pepper, chicken/duck eggs.
Crab Pupil (Concave Black Pupil)
Dry eel blood, grind fine, dip brush and apply three times for full recovery.
Remove Opacity
Fresh Ebucaocao (Heliotropium indicum, also known as Tu Yuan Su), knead soft, stuff into nose for fastest opacity removal. If fresh unavailable, sun-dry and stuff. Initial stuffing causes sneezing, do not fear.
Red Eye with Membrane (by Ge Xian Weng)
One Dahezi (Fructus Terminaliae), grind with white honey and apply.
For Children's Bran-like Opacity not yet firm, do not indiscriminately apply eye drops.
Grind Coral into powder, apply a little daily, heals spontaneously.
Tuiyi Yanggan Wan (Opacity Removing Sheep Liver Pill) (by Zhang Jiugao)
Yemingcha (Strigis Faeces), Muzeicao (Herba Equiseti Arvensis), Baijili (Fructus Tribuli, stir-fried to remove spines), Chantui (Periostracum Cicadae), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis) (each 2 liang).
Grind into fine powder. Take 2 liang steamed black sheep liver, slice and dry into powder. Make pills using water method. Take 3 qian with boiling water.
Divine Formula for Removing Opacity
Muzeicao (Herba Equiseti Arvensis, fired), Shijueming (Concha Haliotidis, fired), Gujingcao (Herba Eyebright, fired, each 1 liang), Hei Yanggan (Black Sheep Liver, one piece, slice with copper knife, steam in steamer, hang with hemp thread to dry in shade, avoid iron tools).
Grind into fine powder. Take with brown sugar water morning and evening.
Eye Drop 1
Luganshi (Halloysitum Rubrum, quenched seven times in Huanglian Tang), Zhenzhu (Pearl) (each 1 qian).
Bai Pengsha (White Borax), Niuhuang (Calculus Bovis), Hupo (Amber), Bingpian (Borneol), Xionghuang (Realgar), Xiongdan (Bear Gallbladder) (each 5 fen), Suboheye (Perilla Frutescens Leaf with Mint Flavor), Zhusha (Cinnabar) (each 3 fen).
Grind extremely fine and apply. Membranes fall immediately; severe cases fall gradually.
Eye Drop 2
Haipiaoxiao (Endoconcha Sepiae, wash clean sand, scrape hard shell, decoct Huanglian, Huangbai, Huangqin, Dahuang equal parts, boil Haipiaoxiao, take out and dry).
Grind fine, add Bingpian (Borneol) and apply.
Qinggan Bushen Lingyang Wan (Clear Liver Tonify Kidney Antelope Horn Pill) (by Chen Shangshu)
Treats unclear vision in youth and elderly.
Lingyangjiao (Cornu Saigae Tataricae, one piece, shaved and ground, wrapped in paper, bound with milk from nursing woman overnight, ground next day, 1 liang), Qingyan (Green Salt, 2 liang, ), Xijiao Jian (Hornis Rhinocerotis Tip, 5 qian, processed same as Lingyangjiao), Baicaoshuang (Soot from Chimney, wind-classified fine, 3 qian).
Cook one Bull Pig Liver, pound ten thousand times, mix to make pills. Take 2 qian on empty stomach with warm water.
Old Age Blurred Vision (by He Longquan)
Gujingcao (Herba Eyebright) any amount, cut into segments, slice one black sheep liver, put in small copper pot. Every morning, the elderly person stir-fries it themselves. The aroma entering the nose clears blurred vision.
