He Ying San Jian Wan (from *Waike Zhengzong* [Standardized Treatise on External Medicine]): Indicated for patients with Shirong syndrome (cancer of the neck characterized by hard, rock-like masses), presenting with masses that are hard as stone, without heat or redness, and gradually swelling and enlarging.
Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Dang Gui Shen (Radix Angelicae Sinensis Root End), Bai Zhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Bai Fu Shen (Poria with Hostwood), Xiang Fu (Cyperus Rhizome), Guang Ju Hong (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Rubrum), Shu Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata) (each 2 liang); Tian Nan Xing (Arisaematis Rhizoma), Bei Mu (Fritillariae Bulbus), Bai Zi Ren (Platycladi Semen), Yuan Zhi (Polygalae Radix), Mu Dan Pi (Moutan Cortex), Suan Zao Ren (Ziziphi Spinosae Semen) (each 1 liang); Jiao Chen (Calculus Bovis or similar resinous substance, contextually likely a typo for Jue Ming Zi or specific resin, kept as transliteration here: Jiao Chen), Lu Hui (Aloe) (each 8 qian); Long Chi (Dent Draconis) (one pair; if Long Chi is unavailable, substitute with 2 liang of Lu Jiao Jian [Deer Antler Tip]); Zhu Sha (Cinnabaris) (6 qian, ground finely to be used as coating).
The above herbs are processed into fine powder, mixed with refined honey to form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take 80 pills per dose, administered after meals with decoction from He Huan Shu Gen Pi (Albiziae Cortex) to wash down. If the patient can abandon past misconduct, return to righteousness, maintain a bland diet, and accept their fate, one or two out of ten may recover; otherwise, complete recovery is difficult.
Fei Long A Wei Hua Jian Gao (from *Waike Zhengzong*): Used to treat Shirong syndrome, Ying Liu (goiter), Ru Yan (breast cancer), Luo Li (scrofula), and early-stage Jie Du (toxic nodules), where the mass is hard as stone, skin color is not red, gradually enlarges over time, and may be painful or painless, provided it has not yet ulcerated. Apply this plaster to the affected area. Take one portion of Chan Su Wan Yao Mo (Toad Venom Pill Powder), add five golden-headed Wugong (Scolopendra), roast until yellow, remove head and feet, grind into powder, and incorporate into the boiling mixture; melt 24 liang of Qian Kun Yi Qi Gao (Universe Qi Plaster), stir thoroughly until uniform, melt completely in a double boiler, spread onto red silk, and apply. Replace every half month. Mild cases will gradually dissipate; severe cases can be stabilized. Regular application ensures future safety.
Wang Kentang stated: Tian Zhu Ju (Abscess at Tian Zhu Bone) arises on the Tian Zhu bone, causing intense itching penetrating to the bone, accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and stiffness/spasm of the shoulders and back. Urgently apply Garlic-partitioned Moxibustion, stopping when the itching ceases. The appearance of blisters after moxibustion is an auspicious sign; absence of blisters is ominous. Administration of diaphoretic agents resulting in sweating indicates treatability; absence of sweating indicates difficulty in treatment. If, after ulceration, the patient presents with coma, dry heaving, retching, persistent nausea, and uncontrolled bleeding, death ensues. (From *Yixue Zhunsheng* [Medical Standard])
Shen Douyuan stated: Yao Shou Ju (Juvenile Death Abscess) presents as large, purple-black lesions arising on the nape and back, which is the intersection point of the Three Yin and Three Yang meridians. Therefore, pathogenic toxins easily attack internally. If not treated early, leading to heat-toxin invading the Yuan Ye acupoint (a point on the Gallbladder Meridian), it may damage the Liver and Lungs, resulting in death within ten days. At the initial stage, regardless of Yin/Yang or Cold/Heat patterns, apply Garlic-partitioned Moxibustion or Fermented Soybean Cake Moxibustion. Treatment follows the general principles for Yong and Ju (sores and carbuncles). (From *Qixuan* [Book of Enlightenment])
