除水银不研，将六味研末，入阳城罐内，中间放水银，上以铁盏盖好，再用铁
线扎紧，以牡蛎盐泥封口，晒干，裂缝补好，照升药法，升打三蛀香为度。冷定取
开，刮下盏内灵药，每用一二厘，冷水调点，三四次愈。
梅疮膏药 猪油熬去渣一两，加香油三钱同熬，离火稍冷，加乳香、没药各
五钱，儿茶七钱，研细搅匀，又入冰片、麝香各一分，轻粉五分，临用摊贴神效。
又膏方 老松香一斤，河井水煮九次，先用麻油四两炼滴水成珠，入煮过松
香，胆矾、铜绿二味只各用一两，研细搅匀，收膏摊贴。
梅漏膏 麻油半斤熬至滴水成珠，入白蜡五钱熔尽，入血竭、儿茶、乳香、没
药各五钱，胆矾一钱，再下飞丹二两，铅粉五钱，离火入冰片一分，麝香二分，搅
匀成膏，欲去污肉，加龙骨、赤石脂各二钱。
五宝丹（丁惠生。）
杏仁（五粒，去皮，乳霜） 轻粉（五分） 银珠（三分） 冰片（一分） 麝香（五厘）
共研极细末。破者干掺，未破者水调涂之，隔日痂脱自愈。
洗梅疮法

又方 用前汤入好醋少许，加冬青叶三四十斤同煎，取叶贴疮上。渣再煎汤洗。

各称足和匀，分十二服，每日用土茯苓一斤，水煎十二碗，清晨一碗入药一服，
服其土茯苓汤，须一日服尽。不可别饮汤水并茶，重者再服一料，无不愈者。忌鸡、
鹅、牛、羊、房事。此方古今第一。
初起熏法（《秘本》）。辰砂末一钱，绵纸分作七条，香油浸透，每次熏二条，熏
时板凳坐着，夏天用单被，冬天用夹被盖之，不可出气，要口含水，恐伤口皮，熏
完吐去，不可咽下，其效如神。（此方弱人不宜轻试。）
搜风解毒汤（《泮霞仙秘录》）。治梅疮不犯轻粉，重者月余，轻者半月余。
土茯苓（一两） 薏苡仁 金银花 防风 白鲜皮 木瓜（各五分） 皂荚子（四分） 气虚加
人参（七分），血虚加当归（七分）。
白水煎，日三服。忌茶并毒物房事。
西圣复煎丸（扶沟宝林僧传）。已破危笃，百方不效，用此如神。

水银（一两） 朱砂 雄黄（各二钱五分） 白矾 绿矾（各二两五钱）
研匀罐盛，灯盏盖定，盐泥固济，文武火炼升，罐口扫收。每以升药三钱，入
乳香、没药各五分，研细末掺太乙膏贴之，绝效。
杨梅结毒。（秘方。）
皂荚 五加皮 当归 白鲜皮 金银花（各二两）
分八贴，每贴加土茯苓四两煎服。
杨梅疮经验方（周鹤仙方。）
牛角 羊角 穿山甲（各二两） 皂角刺（三钱） 生大黄（十二两）
牛羊角、穿山甲三味用湿纸裹，煨焦取净末如前数，同皂角刺、生大黄合为细
末，每服五钱，陈酒调服。出恭时宜于空地上解完即将土掩之，恐恶气害他人也。间
二日再服一服，最重者不过三服，神验。
又方（周鹤仙方）。土茯苓二斤，用石打碎，猪胰子一个去油，水四升，同熬成二
升，去渣，再兑入好酒二斤，金银花、生地、桔梗、当归各五钱，熬成二升，温服。
渣再煎减半，四服痊愈。此天下第一奇方也。
神方（周鹤仙方。）

作一剂，酒六碗，水六碗，煎六碗。每日食肉一块，汤一碗，分作六日吃，三天

雄黄（一钱五分） 轻粉（一钱） 杏仁（去皮、尖，

共为末，先将疮洗净，用雄猪胆汁调搽，二三日即愈。百发百中，天下第一方也。
小儿梅疮起于口内，延及身肤。（《外科发挥》）。土茯苓末，乳汁调服，月余自愈。
杨梅疮神方（潘大章）。
石膏 飞滑石（各一钱八分） 生甘草（一钱） 朱砂 生明矾 血竭 乳香（去油） 没药（去
油，各六分） 冰片（一分） 麝香（八厘）
上乳细末约重七钱，分作七服。每用土茯苓一斤打碎，一半铺瓦铫内，将药放
土茯苓上；又将这一半土茯苓盖上，水四碗，以二碗分二次，一日服完。七日七服，自效。
杨梅疮初起先服三四剂，升发毒瓦斯。
川芎 升麻 连翘 金银花 当归尾 甘草节 黄芩 羌活 黄柏 生地黄 白

梅疮搓药
胆矾（五钱，研碎，纸包，面裹，煨熟，取研细末一钱） 没药（八分） 京墨调搓。
刘氏杨疮秘方
蝉蜕（二两五钱） 威灵仙 白蒺藜（炒，去刺，各二两） 防风（五钱） 麻黄（头一剂冬用一两，夏
用三钱，春秋只用五钱）
先用羊肉一斤，煮烂，将羊肉取起只用汤，吹去汤上浮油，患人每岁加胡椒一
粒为引，将药入汤内，煎成一大碗。再将前煨汤的熟羊肉入酱油，用酒饭任意吃之；
再服煎药，盖被取大汗透，次日必要洗浴，连头发内都要洗透，不然恐有落发之患。第
二剂去麻黄加大黄，（年幼、壮实者用五钱，年纪大弱者用三钱。）药用水煎，不用羊肉汤，药煎好，
方下大黄一二十沸即服，俟行过四五次，即以温粥补之即止。第三剂去大黄加人参（多
寡听用）煎服，渣再煎服。第四剂去人参加土茯苓半斤，犍猪肉四两同煎服，再服三剂，共七剂痊愈。
老君丹（祁道士门人张元履传，邵宗尧用之，屡验。）
白粉霜（一两） 蜈蚣（去足） 全蝎（酒洗） 直僵蚕（炒去丝） 穿山甲（土炒） 朱砂（水飞） 雄黄
（水飞） 广三七 蟾酥（各五钱） 乳香（去油） 没药（去油） 防风 荆芥（各三钱） 牛黄（三分） 或
加竹青蛇末、苍龙末各五钱更妙。
各研细末，称准和匀，老米糊为丸如绿豆大，阴干。（凡灵药为丸之药，俱要阴干，不可
烘晒，烘则有毒，晒则必吐，宜知之。）此丹专治杨梅结毒，一切无名肿毒，痈疽疔毒对口，痰
核瘰 ，湿痰流注，每服一分或二三分，黄酒送下，看人壮弱，病之重轻，全在人之
机变增减，用之如神。如治结毒，常服不比暂用，当每服数厘，以免口齿之患。升
白粉霜法∶火硝、明矾、水银、食盐各一两，如升药法升三柱香，取出灵药以纱囊
包扎好，用犍猪蹄一只入锅内，以水十五碗，煮蹄半熟，去蹄取汤，加生甘草一两，
同纱囊入汤内煮，水干为度，将灵药袋埋土中三日，取出研细，配前药用。
点梅疮（丁郁文）。兼敷大毒瘿瘤。
红升丹（五分） 轻粉（一钱） 铅粉（ 红，一钱五分） 胆矾（ ，四分）
乳极细，用人乳或鹅胆调，以羊毛笔蘸扫，二三次即愈。
透顶神功散（水利道宪王）。治杨梅疮、鱼口疮、恶疮已出者，七八日好；未出者
半月后手足心起一豆大泡，即是毒从此出。
鹿茸（蜜炙） 穿山甲（炮，各一钱五分） 大贝母 知母 白芷（各四钱） 僵蚕（三钱）
用河水二大碗，煎一大碗，将熟，入生熟大黄各五钱，略煎数十滚，倾出露一
宿。再用乳香去油、没药去油，各一钱，麝香一分，研细末放碗内，五更时将药温热
冲服，盖被出微汗，行过次，以温粥止之。忌猪肉。
三三丸（孙北权）。 杨梅等疮。
儿茶（一分） 轻粉（五分） 砒（八厘，壮者用一分）
共研细，面糊丸，如绿豆大，分作九服。一日三服，水茶送下，三日后无形迹。
杨梅疮。
生大黄 生地 金银花 甘草（各五钱） 猪胰（一具） 河水煨服。
又方
土茯苓（八两） 杜仲 皂角末 金银花（各五钱） 五加皮（一钱） 甘草（二钱）
水煎服。至重者，十剂痊愈。
又方
川乌 黄柏（各五钱）
研细，猪胆调搓。
茯苓糕 治杨梅疮。
土茯苓（去粗皮为末） 白矾 糯米粉（各一斤）
和匀，蒸糕食之。常以土茯苓煎汤当茶。宜忌茶。
杨梅下疳臭烂不堪者。
百草霜（乃烧百草人家灶门口烟煤，轻虚成片者以鸡翎扫下） 箭头砂（各一钱）
共乳极细，以桑皮纸铺药捻成三条。每条作三次用，每次点着，以纸遮住眉目，将
烟熏入鼻中，每日熏三次。但此烟入鼻，令人心内作搅，可先煨烂肉汤，不时呷之。至重者不过三条即愈。
灵药方（梁毓秀）。
水银（一两） 劈朱砂 明雄黄（各五钱） 硫黄（三钱） 白矾（一钱）
上研细末，入阳城罐内，用铁盏合好，盐卤和泥封固，以铁丝扎紧，用银炭十斤，
先文后武火，升三柱香为度，取起冷定开看，取铁盏上药重约二两七钱；如杨梅毒
烂喉者，用灵药五分加人中白、青黛各八分，乳香、没药各五分，冰片二分，麝香
一分，药珠一分五厘，共研细末，吹入喉内，日五六次，三日即痊愈。
如烂嘴鼻，再加龙骨、象皮、血竭、儿茶各五钱，琥珀二分，研细掺之，外以清凉拔毒膏贴之。
清凉拔毒膏 麻油二斤，入锅内熬至滴水成珠，再入杭粉一斤，入广锅内炭
火炒红黄色为度。筛下，用桃柳棍搅成膏，倾水中拔去火毒，任摊用。此膏诸疮皆可用，但灵药不可用。
杨梅点药
番木鳖（火炙成性） 轻粉（各五分） 杏仁霜（一钱）
共乳细。猪胆调搽。
鹤顶红 点杨梅疮。
杏仁 轻粉 银朱（各五分）
共乳细，鹅胆汁调点。并治鸡冠痔，痔干以唾津润湿干掺，痔潮干搽。
杨梅初起 麻油四两入蜈蚣三条，穿山甲三片，熬至山甲浮起为度，冷定，加
川乌、草乌末各三分，壮实人用五分；次早将油顿热服下，盖被出汗即愈。愈后宜服防风通圣散以利其毒。
又方 大鲫鱼一尾，半斤以上者。用紫背浮萍二三斤，包着鲫鱼入甑内，蒸极
熟。令患者先从鱼嘴吃起，并鱼鳞、肚、肠吃至鱼尾，细细嚼烂，好酒饮醉，絮一条
浓被盖出汗自愈。盖过绵絮，须于无人处以火熏透，免毒贻害他人。
又方 臭牡丹根皮干研细末每服三钱，好酒调服，浓盖取汗，汗出透，从头
撤被，渐撤至足，不可见风，所用衣被，一概换去，方除后患。
又方
生地 白鲜皮 熟地 金银花 当归 大枫藤 川芎 薏苡仁 羌活 五加皮
木瓜 穿山甲 藿香 槐花 防风 荆芥（各一两） 土茯苓（四两，木槌打碎）
水五碗，煎三碗。每日早晚服一碗，十剂痊愈。忌茶、牛肉、蛋、鹅、肝、肠、火酒。
又方
乳香（箬叶，焙去油） 没药（箬叶焙去油） 银朱 水银 儿茶（各一钱） 冰片 麝香（各一分）
共研细末。用红枣二两火煨去皮，捣膏。和丸，作四圆，如弹子大。每日用木
斗一个，内放碗一只，碗内置灶灰，放炭火，将药一圆放火内烧烟，将患者口含冷
水，以被围住，只将鼻孔闻药味，如口含之水一热则吐去，另换冷水含之，四天熏
完四圆，第五日再将烧过四圆放在一处，做一天熏之，梅疮轻者七八日愈，重者半月
痊愈。忌鸡、鹅、鱼、肝、肠、花椒、发物。
外治杨梅。（吴 ）。
血丹 轻粉（各等分）
研匀，猪胆汁调搓。
杨梅秘方（吴 ）。
龟板（醋炙、研末） 明矾（研）
先用龟板三两，明矾七两，米糊为丸，每服五钱，早晚二服，服至五日，即用龟
板、明矾各五两为丸，再服四五日；即用龟板七两、明矾三两为丸，又服三四日；即
用龟板九两、明矾一两为圆，服至疮已痊愈，再以龟板为丸服数日。前后总以每日
服丸药一两为率。忌猪首、公鸡、鲤鱼、鸡、鸭、鹅蛋、绿豆等物，戒房事。
护面散 可保杨梅疮不上脸。
女头发（ ） 明雄（各三分）
研匀，用香油半酒盅调匀，以滚酒冲服，一日三次。
槐花蕊（张景岳）。凡棉花疮毒及下疳初感，或毒盛经久难愈者，速用新槐蕊拣
净，不必炒，每早、午、晚食前清酒吞下三钱，服至二三升，则热毒尽去，可免终
身余毒之患，亦无寒凉败脾之虑，此经验神方也。如不能饮，即用滚水盐汤，但不及酒服之效捷也。
棉花疮点药
杏仁（取霜） 轻粉（各等分）
研细敷上二三日，即痂脱而落。

用河水二大碗，煎一大碗，将熟，入生熟大黄各五钱，略煎数十滚，倾出露一宿。再用乳香去油、没药去油，各一钱，麝香一分，研细末放碗内，五更时将药温热冲服，盖被出微汗，行过次，以温粥止之。忌猪肉。
三三丸（孙北权）：杨梅等疮。
儿茶（一分），轻粉（五分），砒（八厘，壮者用一分）
共研细，面糊丸，如绿豆大，分作九服。一日三服，水茶送下，三日后无形迹。
杨梅疮：
生大黄、生地、金银花、甘草（各五钱），猪胰（一具），河水煨服。
又方：
土茯苓（八两），杜仲、皂角末、金银花（各五钱），五加皮（一钱），甘草（二钱）

茯苓糕：治杨梅疮。

杨梅下疳臭烂不堪者：
百草霜（乃烧百草人家灶门口烟煤，轻虚成片者以鸡翎扫下），箭头砂（各一钱）
共乳极细，以桑皮纸铺药捻成三条。每条作三次用，每次点着，以纸遮住眉目，将烟熏入鼻中，每日熏三次。但此烟入鼻，令人心内作搅，可先煨烂肉汤，不时呷之。至重者不过三条即愈。
灵药方（梁毓秀）：
水银（一两），劈朱砂、明雄黄（各五钱），硫黄（三钱），白矾（一钱）
上研细末，入阳城罐内，用铁盏合好，盐卤和泥封固，以铁丝扎紧，用银炭十斤，先文后武火，升三柱香为度，取起冷定开看，取铁盏上药重约二两七钱；如杨梅毒烂喉者，用灵药五分加人中白、青黛各八分，乳香、没药各五分，冰片二分，麝香一分，药珠一分五厘，共研细末，吹入喉内，日五六次，三日即痊愈。
如烂嘴鼻，再加龙骨、象皮、血竭、儿茶各五钱，琥珀二分，研细掺之，外以清凉拔毒膏贴之。
清凉拔毒膏：麻油二斤，入锅内熬至滴水成珠，再入杭粉一斤，入广锅内炭火炒红黄色为度。筛下，用桃柳棍搅成膏，倾水中拔去火毒，任摊用。此膏诸疮皆可用，但灵药不可用。
杨梅点药：
番木鳖（火炙成性），轻粉（各五分），杏仁霜（一钱）
共乳细。猪胆调搽。
鹤顶红：点杨梅疮。
杏仁、轻粉、银朱（各五分）
共乳细，鹅胆汁调点。并治鸡冠痔，痔干以唾津润湿干掺，痔潮干搽。
杨梅初起：麻油四两入蜈蚣三条，穿山甲三片，熬至山甲浮起为度，冷定，加川乌、草乌末各三分，壮实人用五分；次早将油顿热服下，盖被出汗即愈。愈后宜服防风通圣散以利其毒。
又方：大鲫鱼一尾，半斤以上者。用紫背浮萍二三斤，包着鲫鱼入甑内，蒸极熟。令患者先从鱼嘴吃起，并鱼鳞、肚、肠吃至鱼尾，细细嚼烂，好酒饮醉，絮一条浓被盖出汗自愈。盖过绵絮，须于无人处以火熏透，免毒贻害他人。
又方：臭牡丹根皮干研细末每服三钱，好酒调服，浓盖取汗，汗出透，从头撤被，渐撤至足，不可见风，所用衣被，一概换去，方除后患。
又方：
生地、白鲜皮、熟地、金银花、当归、大枫藤、川芎、薏苡仁、羌活、五加皮、木瓜、穿山甲、藿香、槐花、防风、荆芥（各一两），土茯苓（四两，木槌打碎）

先用龟板三两，明矾七两，米糊为丸，每服五钱，早晚二服，服至五日，即用龟板、明矾各五两为丸，再服四五日；即用龟板七两、明矾三两为丸，又服三四日；即用龟板九两、明矾一两为圆，服至疮已痊愈，再以龟板为丸服数日。前后总以每日服丸药一两为率。忌猪首、公鸡、鲤鱼、鸡、鸭、鹅蛋、绿豆等物，戒房事。

Remove the mercury without grinding; grind the other six ingredients into powder, place them in a Yangcheng jar, put the mercury in the middle, cover with an iron lid, tighten with iron wire, seal with oyster shell salt mud, dry in the sun, repair any cracks, and sublimate according to the method for preparing sublimated medicines until three incense sticks have burned. After cooling, open it, scrape off the "spirit medicine" from the inside of the lid. Use one or two li (a small unit of weight), mix with cold water, and apply. It will heal in three or four applications.
**Meichuang Ointment:** Boil one tael of lard to remove dregs, add three qian of sesame oil and boil together. Remove from fire and let cool slightly. Add five qian each of frankincense (Ruxiang) and myrrh (Moyao), seven qian of catechu (Ercha), grind finely, and mix well. Then add one fen each of borneol (Bingpian) and musk (Shexiang), and five fen of calomel (Qingfen). Apply externally when needed; it is miraculous.
**Another Ointment Formula:** Take one jin of old pine resin, boil nine times in river or well water. First, refine four liang of sesame oil until it forms beads when dropped in water. Add the boiled pine resin. Use only one liang each of alum (Danfan) and verdigris (Tonglü), grind finely, mix well, and collect as an ointment for external application.
**Meilou Paste:** Refine half a jin of sesame oil until it forms beads when dropped in water. Add five qian of white beeswax and melt completely. Add five qian each of dragon's blood (Xuejie), catechu (Ercha), frankincense (Ruxiang), and myrrh (Moyao), one qian of alum (Danfan), then add two liang of sublimated red mercuric oxide (Feidan) and five qian of lead carbonate (Qianfen). Remove from fire, add one fen of borneol (Bingpian) and two fen of musk (Shexiang), mix well to form a paste. To remove necrotic tissue, add two qian each of dragon bone (Longgu) and red kaolin (Chishizhi).
**Wubao Dan (Five-Treasure Pill)** (Prescribed by Ding Huisheng):
Almond kernels (5 grains, peeled, made into almond paste)
Calomel (Qingfen, 5 fen)
Silver cinnabar (Yinzhu, 3 fen)

Grind all into an extremely fine powder. For ulcerated sores, sprinkle dry powder; for non-ulcerated sores, mix with water and apply. The scab will fall off every other day, and it will heal spontaneously.
**Method for Washing Syphilitic Sores:**
Coptis rhizome (Huanglian), Scutellaria root (Huangqin), Phellodendron bark (Huangbai), yellow beeswax (Huangla), Bletilla tuber (Baiji) (each 5 qian); Sichuan pepper (Chuanjiao, 3 qian); table salt (Shiyan, a little). Decoct in water and wash the sores.
**Another Method:** Add a little good vinegar to the above decoction, add 30-40 jin of Ilex aquifolium leaves (Dongqingye), decoct together, take the leaves and apply to the sores. Decoct the dregs again and use the liquid to wash.
**Another Method:** Decoct Acorus tatarinowii (Tuchangpu) and wash the sores; this facilitates healing.

Firmiana simplex bark (Choutongwu), Honeysuckle flower (Jinyinhua), Wild chrysanthemum (Yejuhua) (equal parts)
Decoct in water, pour into an old toilet, and fumigate the affected area twice a day. If hemorrhoids/fistulas are present, add Goji berries (Gouqizi).
**Tongxian Wubao San (Passing Immortal Five-Treasure Powder)** (Transmitted by Wang Fanquan):
Stalactite powder (Zhongrufen, 3 qian 6 fen); Amber (Hupo), Borneol (Bingpian) (each 6 fen); Cinnabar (Dadansha, 2 qian 4 fen); Roasted wheat flour (Feibaimian, roasted, 1 qian 8 fen)
Weigh accurately, mix well, and divide into twelve doses. Each day, decoct one jin of Smilax glabra rhizome (Tufuling) in water to make twelve bowls. In the early morning, take one bowl of the Tufuling decoction and mix with one dose of the powder. The entire Tufuling decoction must be consumed within one day. Do not drink any other liquids or tea. For severe cases, take another course; there are no failures. Avoid chicken, goose, beef, mutton, and sexual intercourse. This is the best prescription in history.
**Early Stage Fumigation Method** (from *Secret Book*): One qian of cinnabar powder (Chensha), divided into seven strips of cotton paper, soaked in sesame oil. Fumigate with two strips at a time. Sit on a stool while fumigating. In summer, cover with a single quilt; in winter, use a padded quilt. Do not exhale; hold water in the mouth to prevent injury to the wound skin. Spit out after fumigation; do not swallow. The effect is miraculous. (This prescription should not be tried lightly by weak individuals.)

Pound into pills the size of bullet seeds. Take one pill per dose, dissolved in a decoction of four liang of Smilax glabra rhizome (Tufuling).
**Wubao Shuang (Five-Treasure Frost)** (Secret Recipe from Huidetang):
Mercury (Shuiyin, 1 liang); Cinnabar (Zhusha), Realgar (Xionghuang) (each 2 qian 5 fen); White alum (Baifan), Green vitriol (Lvfan) (each 2 liang 5 qian)
Grind uniformly, store in a jar, cover with a lamp saucer, seal with salt mud, sublimate using mild and strong heat, and sweep the product from the jar mouth. Mix three qian of the sublimated medicine with five fen each of frankincense (Ruxiang) and myrrh (Moyao), grind to fine powder, sprinkle onto Taiyi Gao (Great Emperor Plaster), and apply. Extremely effective.
**Yangmei Jiedu (Syphilitic Condyloma/Tumor)** (Secret Recipe):
Gleditsia sinensis pods (Zaojia), Acanthopanax bark (Wujiapi), Angelica sinensis (Danggui), Dictamnus bark (Baixianpi), Honeysuckle flower (Jinyinhua) (each 2 liang)
Divide into eight doses. Add four liang of Smilax glabra rhizome (Tufuling) to each dose and decoct for oral administration.
**Empirical Prescription for Syphilis** (by Zhou Hexian):
Ox horn, Sheep horn, Pangolin scales (Chanshanjia) (each 2 liang); Gleditsia sinensis thorns (Zaojiaoci, 3 qian); Raw Rhubarb (Shengdahuang, 12 liang)
Wrap the ox horn, sheep horn, and pangolin scales in wet paper, roast until charred, extract the pure powder in the same quantities as above. Mix with Gleditsia sinensis thorns and raw Rhubarb into a fine powder. Take five qian per dose, mixed with aged wine. When defecating, do so in an open space and cover immediately with soil to prevent foul gas from harming others. Take another dose every two days. Even in the most severe cases, three doses are sufficient. Miraculous.
**Another Method** (by Zhou Hexian): Two jin of Smilax glabra rhizome (Tufuling), crushed with stone. One pig pancreas (de-oiled). Four sheng of water. Simmer until reduced to two sheng. Strain. Add two jin of good wine. Add five qian each of Honeysuckle flower (Jinyinhua), Rehmannia root (Shengdi), Platycodon root (Jiegeng), and Angelica sinensis (Danggui). Simmer until reduced to two sheng. Take warm. Decoct the dregs again until halved. Four doses cure. This is the number one miracle prescription in the world.
**Divine Prescription** (by Zhou Hexian):
Raw Rhubarb (Shengdahuang), Ephedra herb (Mahuang), Huang [Text incomplete, likely Huangqi or Huangqin], Cicada slough (Chantui), Tangerine peel (Chenpi) (each 4 liang); Pork meat (1 jin 4 liang, divided into six pieces)
Make one dose. Add six bowls of wine and six bowls of water. Decoct until six bowls remain. Eat one piece of meat and drink one bowl of soup daily, spread over six days. Days 1-3 induce sweating; Days 4-6 allow lesions to fill with pus; Days 7-9 allow crusting; Days 10-12 complete healing. Total 12 days. No recurrence of toxins. Proven repeatedly. Only one dose is needed; do not underestimate it due to its simplicity.

**Pediatric Syphilis starting in the mouth and spreading to the body** (from *Waike Fahui*): Smilax glabra rhizome powder (Tufuling), mixed with breast milk and taken orally. Heals spontaneously in over a month.
**Shenfang for Syphilis** (by Pan Dazhang):

Grind into a fine powder weighing approximately seven qian. Divide into seven doses. For each dose, crush one jin of Smilax glabra rhizome (Tufuling). Place half in a ceramic pot, put the medicine on top, cover with the remaining half. Add four bowls of water. Drink two bowls divided into two servings, completing one day's intake. Seven doses over seven days are self-efficacious.
**For early-stage Syphilis**, first take three or four doses to raise and expel toxins:
Ligusticum chuanxiong (Chuanxiong), Cimicifuga rhizome (Shengma), Forsythia fruit (Lianqiao), Honeysuckle flower (Jinyinhua), Angelica sinensis tail (Dangguiwei), Licorice node (Gancao jie), Scutellaria root (Huangqin), Notopterygium root (Qianghuo), Phellodendron bark (Huangbai), Rehmannia root (Shengdihuang), Kudzu root (Baigetgen), Pangolin scales (Chanshanjia), Angelica dahurica (Baizhi), Cicada slough (Chantui), Red Peony root (Chishao), Saposhnikovia root (Fangfeng). Decoct in water and wine.
**Afterwards**, take three or four doses of this formula to cure:

**Rubbing Medicine for Syphilis:**
Blue vitriol/Alum (Danfan, 5 qian, ground, wrapped in paper and dough, roasted, take 1 qian of fine powder); Myrrh (Moyao, 8 fen); Beijing ink (Jingmo) to mix and rub.
**Liu's Secret Recipe for Syphilis:**
Cicada slough (Chantui, 2 liang 5 qian); Spirit grass (Weilingxian), Tribulus fruit (Bajili, stir-fried, thorns removed, each 2 liang); Saposhnikovia root (Fangfeng, 5 qian); Ephedra herb (Mahuang) [First dose: 1 liang in winter, 3 qian in summer, 5 qian in spring/autumn]
First, boil one jin of mutton until soft. Remove the meat and use only the broth. Blow away the oil floating on the surface. For each year of the patient's age, add one peppercorn as a guiding agent. Put the herbs into the broth, decoct into one large bowl. Then, take the previously boiled mutton, dip in soy sauce, and eat freely with rice and wine. Then take the decocted medicine, cover with blankets to induce heavy sweating. The next day, must bathe thoroughly, including the hair, otherwise hair loss may occur.
Second dose: Remove Mahuang, add Rhubarb (Dahuang). [Young/strong: 5 qian; Old/weak: 3 qian]. Decoct in water, not mutton broth. Once decocted, add Rhubarb and boil for 10-20 boils, then take. Wait for 4-5 bowel movements, then stop with warm porridge.
Third dose: Remove Rhubarb, add Ginseng (Renshen) (amount depends on condition). Decoct and take. Decoct dregs again.
Fourth dose: Remove Ginseng, add half a jin of Smilax glabra rhizome (Tufuling) and four liang of castrated pork. Decoct and take. Take three more doses. Total seven doses cure.
**Laojun Dan (Old Man's Pill)** (Transmitted by Zhang Yuanlv, disciple of Daoist Qi; used by Shao Zongyao, proven repeatedly):
White arsenic frost (Baifenshuang, 1 liang); Centipede (Wugong, feet removed); Whole Scorpion (Quanxie, washed in wine); Straight Silkworm (Zhijiangcan, stir-fried, silk removed); Pangolin scales (Chanshanjia, earth-roasted); Cinnabar (Zhusha, water-pulverized); Realgar (Xionghuang, water-pulverized); Panax notoginseng (Guangsanqi); Toad venom (Chansu) (each 5 qian); Frankincense (Ruxiang, de-oiled); Myrrh (Moyao, de-oiled); Saposhnikovia root (Fangfeng); Schizonepeta (Jingjie) (each 3 qian); Bovine calculus (Niuhuang, 3 fen); Optionally add bamboo green snake powder and Canglong powder (each 5 qian) for better effect.
Grind all into fine powder, weigh accurately, mix well, bind with old rice paste into pills the size of mung beans, and dry in the shade. (Note: All pills containing spirit medicines must be dried in the shade, never baked or sun-dried. Baking causes toxicity; sun-drying causes vomiting. Remember this.) This pill specifically treats syphilitic condylomas/tumors, all unexplained swellings and toxins, carbuncles, furuncles, throat toxins, phlegm nodules, scrofula, damp-phlegm flowing nodes. Take one fen or two-to-three fen per dose, sent down with yellow wine. Adjust dosage based on patient strength and disease severity. Use miraculously. For treating condylomas/tumors, long-term use differs from short-term; take only a few li per dose to avoid oral/dental damage.
**Method for preparing White Arsenic Frost:** Fire saltpeter, clear alum, mercury, table salt (each 1 liang). Sublimate like sublimated medicines for three incense sticks. Take out the spirit medicine, wrap in gauze bag. Boil one castrated pig trotter in fifteen bowls of water until half-cooked. Remove trotter, keep broth. Add one liang of raw Licorice root (Shenggancao). Put the gauze bag with spirit medicine into the broth. Boil until water is dry. Bury the spirit medicine bag in soil for three days. Take out, grind fine, and use with the previous ingredients.
**Pointing Syphilis** (by Ding Yuwen): Also applies to large toxic goiters.

Deer antler (Lurong, honey-roasted); Pangolin scales (Chanshanjia, prepared) (each 1 qian 5 fen); Large Fritillaria bulb (Dabeimu); Anemarrhena rhizome (Zhimu); Angelica dahurica (Baizhi) (each 4 qian); Silkworm (Jiangcan, 3 qian)
Decoct two large bowls of river water to one bowl. Near completion, add five qian each of raw and cooked Rhubarb (Dahuang). Boil briefly, pour out, and leave exposed overnight. Next, take de-oiled frankincense (Ruxiang) and de-oiled myrrh (Moyao) (each 1 qian), musk (Shexiang, 1 fen), grind to fine powder, place in bowl. At dawn (Wugeng), take warm mixed with water. Cover with blanket to induce slight sweating. Stop with warm porridge after bowel movement. Avoid pork.
**Sansan Wan (Three-Three Pill)** (by Sun Beiquan): For syphilis and similar sores.

Mix well, steam into cakes, and eat. Often decoct Smilax glabra rhizome (Tufuling) and drink as tea. Avoid tea.
**For foul-smelling, rotting chancre:**
Soot (Baicaoshuang, soot from kitchen chimneys, light and flaky, swept with chicken feathers); Arrowhead sand (Jiantousha) (each 1 qian)
Grind extremely fine. Spread on mulberry paper, roll into three fuses. Each fuse used three times. Light each time, cover eyes/eyebrows with paper, fumigate nose with smoke three times daily. This smoke causes internal stirring; pre-boil rotten meat soup and sip occasionally. Most severe cases heal with just three fuses.
**Lingyao Fang (Spirit Medicine Formula)** (by Liang Yuxiu):
Mercury (Shuiyin, 1 liang); Crushed Cinnabar (Pizhusha), Clear Realgar (Mingxionghuang) (each 5 qian); Sulfur (Huangliu, 3 qian); White alum (Baifan, 1 qian)
Grind fine, put in Yangcheng jar. Seal with iron lid and salt mud, tighten with wire. Use ten jin of silver charcoal, start with mild heat then strong heat, sublimate for three incense sticks. Cool, open, and collect approx. 2.7 qian of medicine from the iron lid.
For syphilitic throat rot: Mix 5 fen of spirit medicine with 8 fen each of human tooth fossil (Renzhongbai) and Indigo naturalis (Qingdai), 5 fen each of frankincense (Ruxiang) and myrrh (Moyao), 2 fen of borneol (Bingpian), 1 fen of musk (Shexiang), 1.5 li of medicinal pearls. Grind fine, insufflate into throat 5-6 times daily. Heals in three days.
For mouth/nose rot: Add 5 qian each of dragon bone (Longgu), elephant skin (Xiangpi), dragon's blood (Xuejie), and catechu (Ercha), 2 fen of amber (Hupo). Grind fine and sprinkle. Externally apply Qingliang Badu Gao (Cooling Detoxification Plaster).
**Qingliang Badu Gao (Cooling Detoxification Plaster):** Refine two jin of sesame oil until it forms beads when dropped in water. Add one jin of Hang powder (Hangfen). Stir-fry in a wide pot over charcoal fire until red-yellow. Sieve, stir with peach/willow stick into a paste, pour into water to remove fire toxicity. Apply as needed. This plaster works for all sores, but does not contain spirit medicine.
**Yangmei Dian Yao (Syphilis Pointing Medicine):**
Strychnos nux-vomica (Fanmubie, fire-roasted to neutralize nature); Calomel (Qingfen) (each 5 fen); Almond paste (Xingrenshuang, 1 qian)
Grind fine. Mix with pig bile and apply.
**Heding Hong (Crane Top Red):** Points syphilis.
Almond kernels (Xingren), Calomel (Qingfen), Silver cinnabar (Yinzhu) (each 5 fen)
Grind fine. Mix with goose gallbladder bile and point/apply. Also treats cockscomb hemorrhoids. For dry hemorrhoids, moisten with saliva and sprinkle dry powder; for moist hemorrhoids, apply dry paste.
**Early Stage Syphilis:** Refine four liang of sesame oil with three centipedes and three slices of pangolin scales until pangolin floats. Cool. Add three fen each of Chuanwu and Caowu powder (strong patients use 5 fen). Next morning, heat the oil and drink. Cover with blanket to sweat; heals. Afterwards, take Fangfeng Tongsheng San to promote toxin expulsion.
**Another Method:** One large crucian carp (over half a jin). Wrap in 2-3 jin of Azolla caroliniana (Zibeifuping). Steam in a steamer until very soft. Patient eats from mouth to tail, chewing thoroughly. Get drunk on good wine. Cover with thick cotton quilt to sweat; heals spontaneously. The cotton quilt must be fumigated with fire in an uninhabited area to prevent toxin harm to others.
**Another Method:** Dry root bark of Melianthus comosus (Choudanmu), ground fine. Take three qian per dose, mixed with good wine. Cover thickly to sweat. When sweat penetrates, gradually remove quilt from head to foot. Avoid wind. Change all clothes and bedding to eliminate future complications.
**Another Method:**
Rehmannia root (Shengdi), Dictamnus bark (Baixianpi), Prepared Rehmannia (Shudi), Honeysuckle flower (Jinyinhua), Angelica sinensis (Danggui), Giant knotweed vine (Da Fengteng), Ligusticum chuanxiong (Chuanxiong), Coix seed (Yiyiren), Notopterygium root (Qianghuo), Acanthopanax bark (Wujiapi), Quince (Mugua), Pangolin scales (Chanshanjia), Agastache (Huoxiang), Sophora flower (Huaihua), Saposhnikovia root (Fangfeng), Schizonepeta (Jingjie) (each 1 liang); Smilax glabra rhizome (Tufuling, 4 liang, crushed with wooden mallet)
Five bowls of water, decoct to three bowls. Take one bowl morning and evening. Ten doses cure. Avoid tea, beef, eggs, goose, liver, intestines, and strong liquor.
**Another Method:**
Frankincense (Ruxiang, baked on bamboo leaf to remove oil); Myrrh (Moyao, baked on bamboo leaf to remove oil); Silver cinnabar (Yinzhu), Mercury (Shuiyin), Catechu (Ercha) (each 1 qian); Borneol (Bingpian), Musk (Shexiang) (each 1 fen)
Grind fine. Roast two liang of jujubes, peel, pound into paste. Mix with powder to form four pills the size of bullet seeds. Daily, use a wooden bucket with a bowl inside containing stove ash and charcoal. Burn one pill in the fire. Patient holds cold water in mouth, surrounds self with blanket, inhales smoke through nose. Spit out hot water, replace with cold. Complete four pills over four days. On the fifth day, burn the four used pills together for one day. Mild cases heal in 7-8 days; severe in half a month. Avoid chicken, goose, fish, liver, intestines, Sichuan pepper, and stimulating foods.
**External Treatment for Syphilis** (by Wu):
Blood cinnabar (Xuedan), Calomel (Qingfen) (equal parts)
Grind uniform, mix with pig bile and rub.
**Syphilis Secret Recipe** (by Wu):
Tortoise plastron (Guiban, vinegar-roasted, powdered); Clear alum (Mingfan, ground)
First, use three liang of tortoise plastron and seven liang of alum, bind with rice paste into pills. Take five qian twice daily (morning/evening). After five days, use five liang each of tortoise plastron and alum into pills, take for 4-5 days. Then use seven liang tortoise plastron and three liang alum, take for 3-4 days. Then use nine liang tortoise plastron and one liang alum, take until sores heal. Finally, continue taking tortoise plastron-only pills for a few days. Total daily pill intake should be one liang. Avoid pig head, rooster, carp, chicken, duck, goose eggs, mung beans, etc. Abstain from sexual intercourse.
**Humian San (Face-Protection Powder):** Prevents syphilis from affecting the face.
Female hair (Nv toufa); Clear realgar (Mingxiong) (each 3 fen)
Grind uniform. Mix with half a wine-glass of sesame oil. Take with boiling wine, three times daily.
**Huaihua Rui (Sophora Flower Bud)** (by Zhang Jingyue): For cotton-sores (syphilis) and initial chancre, or persistent difficult-to-heal toxins. Quickly select fresh Sophora buds, do not roast. Swallow three qian with clear wine before morning, noon, and evening meals. Take until two or three sheng are consumed. Heat toxins will be eliminated, avoiding lifelong residual toxins and spleen-damaging cold properties. This is an empirical divine prescription. If unable to drink wine, use boiling salt water, but efficacy is slower than wine.
**Cotton-Sore Pointing Medicine:**
Almond kernels (Xingren, taken as paste); Calomel (Qingfen) (equal parts)
Grind fine, apply for 2-3 days. Scab falls off and heals.
**Zixia Dan (Purple Cloud Pill):** For all malignant syphilitic sores.
