Blood Feng Chuang (Blood Wind Sore)
Chen Shigong stated: Blood Feng Chuang is formed by the interaction of wind-heat, damp-heat, and blood heat. Initially, it presents with intense itching; upon breaking, it exudes fatty fluid. It gradually spreads outward, resembling a needle eye. Externally applying Jiedu Xionghuang San (Detoxifying Realgar Powder) or Ruyi Jinhuang San (Ruyi Golden Yellow Powder) is effective. If the condition persists for years, becoming purple-black and hard with stagnant qi and blood, use a magnetic lancet to pierce and drain the evil blood, followed by fumigation using the Shen Deng Zhao Fa (Divine Lamp Illumination Method) to resolve the郁毒 (stagnant toxin). (From *Waike Zhengzong*)
Feng Luzhan stated: Women's Blood Feng Chuang is caused by wind-heat and郁火 (stagnant fire) in the Liver and Spleen meridians leading to blood dryness. External symptoms include the eruption of nodules on the body, extreme itching and pain, which become sores when scratched, oozing pus and water. Internal symptoms include irregular menstruation, urinary dysfunction, night sweats with fever, aversion to cold and hatred of heat, fatigue, and poor appetite. It is advisable to first use Jiawei Xiaoyao San (Modified Free and Easy Wanderer Powder), or a combination of Xiao Chai Hu Tang (Minor Bupleurum Decoction) and Siwu Tang (Four Substances Decoction) with added Sesamum indicum seeds, followed by Guipi Tang (Restore the Spleen Decoction) with Shudi (Prepared Rehmannia Root) replacing Muxiang (Aucklandia Root). This is the treatment method for Blood Feng Chuang occurring all over the body, not specifically referring to that on the feet. (From *Waike Jinang*)
Shen Douyuan stated: Blood Feng Chuang mostly occurs on the medial and lateral aspects of both lower legs, extending from the knees to the ankles. It arises from wind pathogens affecting the blood level. It is characterized by severe itching; scratching breaks the skin, releasing yellow fluid and forming sores, often accompanied by the presence of parasites. (From *Qixuan Mizhi*)
